Due to the nature of sites like yiff.party, it is very difficult to find payment processors who will accept clients like us. Until a viable way of accepting monetary donations becomes available, cryptocurrency will remain the only option.

- Performance section in the admin. This shows time performance tracking for various AAF processes. This could be useful for troubleshooting bottlenecks or other issues. I will likely add to the list of processes tracked over time. This data is not persistent. It only measures processes in the current game session.


### Changed

- In animation value action nodes, loop attribute defaults to "true" if there is a from and to attribute. So, it can be omitted if the action should loop (which is the case most of the time).

- idle nodes no longer needed in animation XML. Moved those values to live in the actor node as "idleForm" and "idleSource". This is to make the XML structure more compact. The old format still works. But, xsd is updated to enforce the new structure to encourage updating.

- defaults node in animation XML injects to both value nodes and actor nodes.

- Moving away from having "value" nodes. Instead, having separate nodes for each path type. For instance, an "action" node instead of `value path="action"`. This is to make the XML more compact and easier to understand. Old format still works. But, xsd enforces new way. Made this same change for "morph" and "mfg". See wiki for examples.

- The debug output no longer shows on screen during boot-up. Instead, there is a minimal load progress indicator in the upper right corner of the screen. Hi. I have a couple of questions: (1) at some point you have introduced a feature to order the actors and furnitures list ascending by distance - it used to work, but it doesn't anymore; (2) is it possible to add a random chance to the equipmentsetdata removal (i.e. to have a 50% chance of removing the torso equipment). Thanks a lot!

Hi dagobaking, I'm working on HHSOutfit2 support script for the new HHS High Heels System. Since some AAF animations are a bit off with HHS running, I wanted to ask if AAF possibly sends an event when animations are played/stopped? I could listen for these events and temporarily disable HHS, if so.

I just tested this with AAF Violate, menu is still hidden during violate event. Don't know why... EDIT: I suspect this is a vanilla issue, when player control is disabled and plays vanilla animation like surrenderIdle, sitting down, the UI is completely hidden and unable to use "tm" in console to show UI unless the animation is complete. However I'm still confused, when use AAF normally instead of another mod triggering animation, the UI is completely visible, I wonder if there is a way to check and force show UI when another mod calls AAF to start animation. EDIT2: I am 90% sure the UI hidden issue is caused by playing vanilla specific animation like surrender, the game itself auto hides the UI until the vanilla animation is complete and player control is re-enabled. For example: when you enter power armor or sitting down at a chair, the UI is hidden by the game until animation completes. Maybe this can be solved by force enable UI when AAF start animation function is called.

Unfortunately, custom UI elements have to be injected into existing UI widgets (unless someone knows another method I havent seen). So, if a mod like the one you are testing with does something to turn off vanilla UI elements, there isn't a way to keep from the custom UI getting hidden also.

New features for controlling facial animation like MFG console from Skyrim? Does it need external DLL support? Maybe a plugin for AAF?

Many people would welcome a plugin like that for FO4. But, so far, it has not been made. AAF can affect expressions. But, without an MFG plugin it is limited to the vanilla archetypes.

- AAF initialization to happen right after mirror scene (face modification) instead of before.

- tag XML type so that multiple entries for the same position ID merge all tags together and removes duplicates. (As a side effect, this makes using the "replace" attribute unreliable where multiple entries exist.)


### Removed

- initialization_delay setting. Not needed since initialization now starts after mirror scene.


### Fixed

- More duplicate listing issues with furniture.

- Case sensitivity for plugin detection to avoid errors when plugins are spelled differently.

- Hotkeys so that they are blocked when the console is open.

- Issue with characters not choosing furniture animations when available.

Got another bug from AAF 56, animation refuses to stop after scene from SexEmUp and RSE brothel. The jittering is gone, and the body morph for males are displaying correctly. How do you turn off the black loading screen when the animations are starting? by the way thanks dagobaking

Thank you Alvin. There is a setting in AAF_settings.xml called "fadeout_during_lock". Change that to false to turn off the loading screen. RSE is being changed to work with AAF directly. So, I am thinking issues with that will get resolved sooner than later.

  • Added morphSet system. Allows changing morphs at beginning and end of positions and also per animation.
  • Added condition layer to both morphSet and equipmentSet. Allows setting conditions for different morphs and equipment (ie. unequip this body slot if actor is female).
  • Improved cancelling routines. So, crashes should recover more often. Cancelling at different stages of animation shouldn't break.
  • Many small fixes.
  • Added AAF_DOF_Patch. This is a patch for DOF. All it does is remove most of the DOF scripts because they interfere with the AAF morph system. DOF must be used with an animation pack that changes morphs for this to do anything.

  • Fixed issue that showed female player characters as male when starting from a brand new game.
  • Improved alignment process for player involved scenes. Appears to align properly every time. But, does still do the fade out. I believe I know a way to eliminate the fade out. But, it will require a significant re-write of the locking code. Putting that as a lower priority since the fade out is a relatively small nuisance.
  • Player alignment on furniture scenes works. But, it then jitters intolerably. I have reached out to jaam to see if there is a possible fix on the LLFP side of things. Fingers crossed.

Fixed issue that had broken 4P Proxy. Tested with 4P SEU and that works. Please let me know if other 4P dependent mods don't work.

Made a significant improvement to animation syncing. Before, animation timing would sometimes be off.

Still working on getting alignment when player is involved to work better again. So, added several "lock modes" that can be switched in settings if you want to try out different methods in your game.

Additional behavior controls, relationship features, user interface elements (menus) and statistics tracking are also planned. AAF has a similar purpose and technical strategy to CE0's Skyrim mod OSA - Skyrim Ascendancy Engine.

The layout and icons are just things I threw together quickly as placeholders so I could focus on development. So, they are not by any means final.

Right now, they function almost like debugging tools. In the future, I will probably remove some of the state-change information and just include icons/info that is about gameplay.

Updates:

Previous version was missing an important file. Fixed.

Added equipmentSetData.xml. This allows modders to define what clothing slots get removed or replaced before and after animations.

Added debugging features to help troubleshoot when things don't work.

Added dependency checks and warnings.

Cleaned up code in various places.

Added offset features to adjust positioning of animations for various circumstances (playing ground animations on top of an object, playing animations positioned in various ways, etc.)

Fixed the "Ghost Disturbances" issue.

I'm excited to finally release this. There are still a lot of rough edges to work out and it might be kind of anti-climactic right now because there are no animation packs available for it yet.

I did include a guide on how to make animation packs. So, hopefully animators start doing that soon.
