So while I was away in Spain during August I felt very inspired and wrote down a whole list of art ideas I had come up with, stuff I'd love to work in the near future.
I hope you guys don't mind but I felt like sharing some of these ideas with you! Feel free to not look if you'd prefer to keep these ideas a surprise though!
Or feel free to not read at all (lots of text), but for those that are curious about just some of the stuff I have planned, read away! :)
1) MLP Carousel Horses:
I've seen this idea done before, and honestly I'd love to draw my own versions. Doesn't even have to be just the mane six, or even gen4 for that matter. Also depends if people really like them or not, but I'd love to do a whole series of these carousel horses. Just thinking about all the themes I could give each character and all the detail I could include is what sparks my interest for this idea.
2) A group picture with all my top favourite characters:
Anyone who follows me or knows me well will know there's certain characters I obsess over and love to bits. So I thought it'd be interesting to actually draw them all together in a sort of group shot, nothing fancy. These characters consist of: Mercy from Overwatch, Sunset Shimmer from MLP, Eevee from Pokemon, Isabelle from Animal Crossing, and Rain from Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron. Might include other characters in there too like Spyro the dragon, I guess he counts (I used to obsess so much over Spyro as a kid lol)
(speaking of Spyro)
3) Spyro fan art:
I really need to draw more dragons, especially after the positive feedback my Sunset and Starlight dragons got. I'd love to draw actual Spyro fan art, with backgrounds based on some of the levels from the original games.
4) Pegasi birds:
Now here's something interesting I had come up with, as well as something that could be a potential challenge. Drawing birds but as pegasi, giving pegasus the markings of certain birds, or basing them on birds. This probably doesn't make sense, but I really liked the idea, and when I say pegasus I mean realistic ones, not MLP related ones. :) Again, I could do a whole series of them if I find the project enjoyable.
5) Horse sonas:
Design myself a horse-sona, a horse character for myself. Still redesigning my feral foxsona, but since I'd love to draw actual horses more in general, why not give myself a horse character too?
I put a question mark because I'm not sure on this one, but I have considered it, especially if anyone shows interest to purchasing any adoptables I design. I'd like to at least give it a go one day, see if anyone has enough interest in my character designs one day.
Besides my digital art, there's more I could do with my traditional art, like making sculptures for example. I actually used to make little sculptures when I was younger, but I'd love to make them again, even offer them as commissions once I start to improve with them and get the hang of making them. I also have a keen interest in making customs. So far I've made some MLP g3 custom ponies, but I'd love to eventually branch out onto making doll customs. Seeing dollightful's videos on her making the eeveelutions into dolls inspired me on this :) Check her out!
8) Klausen (graphic novel)
I still haven't given up on Klausen. My characters mean so much to me and I still want to tell their story, as well as have a comic to work on. It's a project I've wanted to work on since I was 14, (not necessarily Klausen, just have a comic to work on in general). I'm going to take it slow though before jumping into the comic straight away.
I'm going to draw many concepts, many artworks of my characters, polish up the story, make sure I'm 100% happy with it before I start. People have told me I should go with the flow, but last time I did that I kept redoing the comic over and over and nobody wants that.
I'm not sure when the actual comic itself will start, probably not even until next year, but when it does I will certainly offer comic-related patreon rewards for it. For example: certain pledge tiers will gain access to the next page(s) a week early from everyone else. Higher pledge tiers will be allowed to have their characters drawn as a background character in the comic. And even higher pledge tiers will have their character have a spoken scene in the comic!
I'm so excited to work on my comic, but I don't want to rush into it. I want it to be worth it, and in the meantime I'll share all my concepts with you guys! :)
Anyway, that's everything for now, I have a few other ideas written down but these are some of the ones I really do want to work on. Hopefully they'll all become a reality. Right now the priority is the comic.
Thanks for reading if you did!
