Good weekend all, never enough isn't it? Even more so when you've got a deadline to meet!

I'm being more judicious with the scenes I'm sharing now - don't want to give away too much for fear of spoilers!

Now, for this weeks main update - rendering is over 80% done. There's some re-rendering to do. (Because for some reason even when there's only 1 camera in the scene, Daz will not default to that, but instead chooses whatever viewport you clicked on just before you save. Very clever Daz.) But that shouldn't set us back too much.

I really want to get this out soonish, so expect a rollout of a 0.01 and even 0.02 update to come right after as I continue to add features and clean up the code.

Road map for next update

0.15 - Main release! Contains approx 2 releases worth of content. (approx 12,000+ words and 600+ shots.) We have covid to thank for this

0.15.1 - Adds sound and music, wait for this if you can. (About 2 weeks after) They make a huge difference!

0.15.2 - Quality of life improvements. and ???

This next update will also update the point system that's barely been used so far - they'll be renamed Emotion Points and Corruption Points. You'll need enough of them to select specific options. Your choices will finally start to mean something.

The further you go down a path, the less you'll see of the other (eventually). This means you cannot have a change of heart way down the line and expect the outcome to change drastically. Choose wisely.

Lastly, because of the new point system, I'm afraid previous saves will not work.

You have to start a new game, but there'll still be an option in the beginning to generate the story path you've chosen. Bit of pain to implement but it's a highly used feature!

Hey all, a day late but happy July 4th for those in the states - hope you're all staying safe.

It's been another productive week, been squeezing every spare moment out of my machine rendering, if I'm not working, it's rendering. On the downside, it's like having a mini heater in the room in the midst of summer. This thing really runs hot!

Also, a huge welcome to our new Patrons! You are the most beautiful, handsome and discerning group a creator could ask for :)

So recently there's been more and more requests for multiple routes for their favourite character - I'm of the same mind. I'll love to have a different route for all your chosen ladies too! Hang in there, we're going to finish our main routes first, then we'll start looking at the other routes. Perhaps by then we might be in a position to hire on additional helping hands!

Again, hang in there and we'll make it happen :)

Back to the current production - while we are rendering every second we get, the pace which scenes are produced is far outstripping the speed which they are getting rendered. Ergo - I have large amounts of scenes just sitting there waiting to be processed.

I'm estimating about 600+ renders (last update is 294!) so we're looking at a big update but decreased rendering time - since I can no longer render in the afternoons while I'm working on this machine due to me currently working from home.

In so many words, what this means is, we're gonna need a bit more time to process everything. The plan was to get the release out end of the month, but it's looking like next month instead.

Thanks for being patient, this release's been cooking for awhile now, and we're getting ever so close!

Hey all, how's another week of lockdown treating everyone? I know it can take a toll on people mentally, so please take care of yourself!

So this week has been topsy turvey again, this working from home thing means people aren't respecting boundaries as much since we can be contacted at anytime now. And I'm absolutely shattered from all the work from my day job.

Still, the show has to go on, but I don't feel it's fair to everyone while I'm here trying to do two things at once. Hence I've got a big-ish announcement to make!

I'm suspending payment for the next month.

Note that this doesn't mean I'm stopping work. No. It means I'm giving myself time over the next month to get my shit together with my actual work and progress on the next update!

This is so that I don't feel like a jerk taking Patreon donations while doing jack-shit because next month is gonna be crazy busy.

Though you could say, well some Patreons don't mind it...and while it might be true, I don't feel comfortable doing that. So there we go.

Thanks for being so patient and hanging in there with me! This means a lot, and I'm gonna keep going through the next month. And as for weekly updates, I'll still be doing them just to keep people in the loop!

Everyone wishes that they can work from home but the downfall is that you're always at work,so there's no real rest period,my hats off to you man for doing that. I'm still going out to work as part of the essential workers or as I like to call us the suicide squad lol. My hours have been cut almost in half so money is a little tight but getting by none the less. Keeping my family safe in this mess. Thanks for the update on what's happening with the game,it's deeply appreciated, I'm looking forward to the next chapter of this great story,but no rush,it's understandable,life happens. Be safe and take care of yourself.

Crazy week it's been isn't it? This human malware has really been disruptive, didn't get much done this week while I'm trying to figure out new arrangements with work and all. Lock-down is about to happen and I'm in self-quarantine right now.

Hey there lovely folks, how've you been? It's been a pretty disruptive week hasn't it? Hope you're staying safe and washing your hands!

It's hit us pretty hard here too, it's been difficult to plan around and probably didn't get as much done this week as I would like. Nevertheless, as you can see from the preview banner images, there's still been a nice bit of environment work done for the next release- full preview images to come right after this.

Writing is still being worked on in parallel as we speak, and as much as I'll like to gushed about our character's happenings, I really want to keep it spoiler-free, so please forgive the brevity of the description!

Good Saturday all! As you might see from the banner image this week, we've started shot production!

We're going to be spending a fair amount of time here so I'm set dressing this right now, in various states of disrepair.

Much of this week has been dedicated to rewriting the dialogue and events for the next release. As the poll has shown, it's the strength of the characters and their intertwining relationships that people are here for :). Once again, thanks for your support, we'll strive to live up to your expectations.

Back to the progress on writing though - it's become clear to me this update is gonna be massive. I already knew it was gonna be big, but I didn't know how big.

Well, it's massive. We're resolving and building different story threads at once to make this a coherent chapter, and as a result, different build ups needed to be done in a way that makes sense. It really irks me the reader gets teleported all over without rhyme or reason, though I understand why it's done sometimes. I'm trying my best to handle this with care, so please bear with me a little longer as I work this out!

For some perspective, last release was about 6000 words. I'm already at 6000 now and it's barely halfway through. This might be the first 10,000 words release :) (Although I've probably written 3 times that since there's so much constant rewriting going on!)

Lastly, in order to keep to a reasonable timeline, I've also started preparing the shots for the parts that's already been written. It's not optimum because switching head space from writing to shot production constantly is really taxing. Hopefully this should just be the arrangement for a couple of weeks as I wrap up the writing!

So funny story, initially we produced the romance route in Day 3 as a sort of test - to show what the romance route would actually be like once we start getting into it.

As it turns out, people really really liked it! So much that it derailed the plan to ignore the romance route till later.

But the same time, we've also got those who's looking forward to the corruption path we're heading towards!

So now we've got a question for you - what sort of content are you most looking forward to?

Since we're approaching the route split - I'm using this to inform the decisions we make on future updates!

Hey all, welcome to another weekly update - and to all new Patrons a huge welcome!

Thanks so much for your kind support, it really help keeps me going!

So for this week's progress, the writing for the next release is still well underway, I'm deep into dialogue writing as we speak.

I'm really excited to craft this new bit of narrative for our characters! It's not often that I'll feel so drawn into the drama as I do now, we're really delving deep into our character's psyche and how they deal with the changes in their living conditions.

There's just so much going on for them I feel sorry for some of the things they're going through right now! But no worries, it's all part of the journey and we'll need them to be beaten down before the road to redemption begins.

Proper character exploration and dialogue is so sorely lacking in most VNs, I hope you'll forgive this additional time I'm taking to handle this. Good writing is rewriting, and I've rewrote so much it's probably enough to fill a couple of releases!

Well. More like 5 thousand but I digress, sorry for the earworm :)

The next couple days would be committed completely to dialogue writing and fleshing out all the events. God willing, we'll be in shot production shortly after!

I love that you're taking the time to develop these characters,it allows for us the player to sink into the story much deeper, I'm very curious to see what's going to happen with the other characters that were recently introduced into the story,looking forward to the next update,keep up the awesome work!

Hey all, how's everyone doing? This week feels extra long for some reason. Feels like a couple weeks has gone past in the last 6 days. Usually that means it's been particularly boring or, really really busy. Definitely not the former, I don't think!

Now on to the weekly updates -

  • Writing on the next release is well underway, done by next week
  • Started asset prep for next release (Sets, props, characters)
  • Fixed up the Patreon gallery for the Dev Commentary Edition
  • Fixed problems compiling Android APKs
  • Progress chart to come, check back in bit!

You can see why it's been a crazy busy week. On top of all this there's also been some hardware updates, to hopefully squeeze some improvements out of this aging rig. We're now water-cooled and overclocked!

Hey all, how’s the week going? I’m getting absolutely crushed here with work and multiple other things needing my attention all at once!

You know what else is getting crushed though? Animation! :D Just finished rendering and uploading the latest build as I type this.

It’s been a busy week, treatment for the next release is about done too, and we can get into writing actual dialogue next week. For those curious, here are the steps I use in writing;

  • Outline (Story beats)
  • Treatment (Scenes)
  • 1st draft Dialogue
  • 2nd draft Dialogue
  • Final draft Dialogue

The entirety of Mirror Mine has a classic 3 act structure, and we’re right at the end of the 1st act. The next release is the beginning of act 2. (Also the longest act). Story's plotted out to the end and every week we get a little closer to the next part !

There's also been some under-the-hood changes as well in this 0.14.1 release, you don't see it yet but a replay gallery has been implemented, now we can all relive specific moments at anytime! This should also help info you of any content you might be missing from alternate paths.

Also getting worked on under-the-hood, is the Patreon only, Dev Commentary gallery. All the materials are gathered, and graphic for the buttons done. This should be with you sometime next week!

Just to be clear - this edition is for the $9 and above Patreons and do not contain any story elements. It's like a DVD commentary track but for the various assets and tests done in development!

Happy weekend everyone! And welcome to all new Patrons! Hopefully you’ve had the chance to try the newest release, quite a bit of a cliffhanger isn’t it?

Well the next release is already being written even as I work on the animation for this release.

To set expectations right, it’s just 1 scene (those who have played it would know which scene) but you’ll get multiple angles. You should expect it soonish! Might be as soon as next week.

So the burning question on people’s mind is - Next major update, when?

I try to aim for 8-10 weeks to produce each release, so that will kick in after this animation update. Ergo: April release.

However! This next release is a big one. With small time skips to show passage of..well, time. And events taking place over multiple days (instead of the single day events we’ve had so far)

I guess it’s a long winded way to say, the date might slip. It’s such a pivotal moment for our character, we might need to go further then before.

I can’t wait to show everyone where this story is going! Thanks for hanging around, I’ll see everyone soon for another weekly update!

Hey all, so I've had a day or two to finally rest after the last hectic couple of weeks, also had sometime to read all the feedback and gather my thoughts.

We went to a pretty dark place this release didn't we? Emotionally, it was also taxing to write. Really draining. But we're not quite finish yet, this episode ends on a cliffhanger, and we're all eager to find out what happens next.

Hang in there, I'll be putting myself through another emotional wringer soon to write the next release. We'll need to deal with our consequences, and fate is not quite done with our characters yet.

Our characters have met their first real obstacle - And how they deal with this new situation will greatly inform their future relationships...for better or for worse. It's so easy to take the self-destructive path. Holding back your baser instincts and doing the right thing in difficult times is...much harder. And this, is what we'll be exploring in the coming updates.

How will you deal with temptation at every corner?

Well, we'll soon see won't we :)

Hey there lovely patrons and followers, as we approach our 1 year anniversary of launching the Patreon page, we've got some plans for a Tier refresh!

Our setup has served us quite well till now, so there's not much need to do massive structural changes. And as evident by our recent poll, people seems to be happy with the status quo :D, thanks for the feedback everyone.

Still, we need to streamline the tiers a bit, plus give out more exclusive rewards to celebrate our first year! So without further ado, here are some upcoming plans for the tier changes!

  • $9 Tiers and above will eventually get access to a "Dev Commentary" edition of each release
  • There is no (none!) story content lock away in the Dev Commentary edition
  • It's not coming just yet, probably for the next releases on.
  • We're retiring the $2 Tier in an effort to streamline our tiers
  • Existing $2 Patrons will be grandfathered in - if you are an existing patron, nothing changes for you :)

As seen from the feedback, you guys would really rather we spend more time on the release than anything else! I'm totally on board with this, so I'll just includes things that comes naturally as a part of the development process.

Hey all, another quick update - all renders are done! I'll need to add more render time for my next estimates to account for random last minute additions.

So, what's next? Right now I'm doing colour grading and image fixes to paint out errors with intersections etc. If all goes well, all our work will be integrated into code tonight and we'll begin play testing for bugs and story flow.

Around this same time, sound will be worked in as well, there's also a simple animation in there now. It's just a stand-in really, proper animation will start next week so keep an eye out for the upgrade!

Hey all! How's the week been going? Personally I can't wait till it's Friday. But for more reasons then one - firstly let me draw your attention to an update on the current state of things.

Good news first, all shots have been layout, posed and lit! We're at about 290 renders, the most ever for a release, and that's not even counting animation. I definitely did not think we'll churn through so much in just a few short weeks. The last week alone had us doing almost 100 shots, phew!

However, we've hit a bit of a bottle neck, there're far more shots than my pokey old machine can handle. Even the backup plan of bringing out my old laptop is not enough to deal with this.

So there you have it, unfortunately this means we're definitely not gonna make it before Feb. Sorry peeps, bit of technical limitations here. I'm gonna need to push this release back another week or so. This week is gonna be completely dedicated to rendering.

The last couple of weeks has been pretty hectic, but we did it~ this release took about 10 weeks from the last 0.5 release. We were just churning things out 24 hours a day towards the end!

Thanks for the taking part in the polls, it's great to see how engaged everyone is with the current content.

Really appreciate the thought that most people think putting more effort into the game is a reward in itself! Thank you :)

That said, I'm really grateful for the support and am still thinking of ways to give more value to patrons with adversely affecting my workload - and without removing anything people are already getting.

No official announcements yet though, I'm thinking of releasing a 'Dev's commentary' game edition for the higher tiers since I'm not a fan of locking story content behind this wall. All additions should be supplementary instead of complementary.

I'm open to any suggestions so please feel free to mention any ideas.

The specifics aren't decided yet, but we're thinking it'll be something that has the behind-the-scenes stuff the higher tiers are already getting, as a separate gallery option. Including some never-seen-before tests, things that might be too small to warrant a whole post on its on. (Including animation) We'll have a small description on each asset - like a dvd commentary, on the process and thought behind it.

How's the week going all? And for all those celebrating new years this week, Happy Lunar New Year!

We're really close to finishing now, just one last major scene to render, I'm hoping to finish the posing this weekend and we have the rest of the week to render. In the meantime we'll get to coding in the rest of the release plus finishing up the sound design - I've done what I can on that front, now I'll need the actual images to inform my decisions on sound.

Despite my previous misgivings, I'm now relatively confident we can finish everything before the end of Jan, unless the last scenes suddenly requires 15 hours to render one frame. But even if that's the case, I have some contingency in place, no worries.

A lot of this hangs on the amount of work I'm getting done through these two days so I'm going to get cracking, there's still a ton left to do!

Hi all, it's also been awhile since I've did a dev diary type post and catalogue my thought process when it comes to crafting a shot.

So today I'll like to write a bit more about camera and lighting - essentially the work involved as a director of photography in your own project. But first a disclaimer, while I've had a fair amount of experience working in 3D, I'm very far from the best. That said, I'm sure my experiences can shed some light for people interested in this topic. So without further ado;

So, Lenses - The soul of our work, also the main way our audiences perceives the world. Many times I see a render with a 50mm lense slapped on (or worse, 25mm) for every shot, and while that works, it's not quite as effective.

This is one of my favourite render - it uses the scene effectively in many ways.

1) The wide lense makes the character smaller, and makes him feel more isolated - (relevant in this shot). You instantly feel that he's alone. The thing I wrote above about not abusing the 25mm lense? You want to save it for moments like this.

2) There are foreground elements to introduce depth. They also double as set dressing to hint at his character - evidently he's someone who lets his laundry pile up, but still conscientious enough to use a basket.

3) The strong front-lit screen gives a nice contrast to the darker foreground. I made used of a subtle orange/blue light setup so favoured by many filmmakers.

While it's not always possible to achieve this in every shot, it's good to always keep them at the back of your head, essentially trying to tell a story in one image with no text or context. Of course, this is time consuming and finding the perfect angle and lighting would take hours. This shot alone took almost a whole day because it just wasn't telling the right story.

We're not doing this for every single shot of course, because then the game will never get done!

Here you can see a little bit more on using foreground to introduce depth, but this time our focus on the use of colour.

Starting with the top image with the rock, you'll notice the not-so-subtle difference in colour coming in various direction - red on the left, and green on the right. This theme is repeated when you choose to go down either path - one is bathed in green light and the other is red, (not so) subtly connecting them together. The green light further accented when you follow down the path and you find our main love interest covered in a thick green rim light as she gets closer to you. (Can't post here due to Patreon rules unfortunately.)

That's it for this dev diary! I try to add little touches here and there to guide the players along and to enhance the story, hopefully if done right, no one will notice it and it simply just adds to the experience. (Unless you're reading it here of course :))

Now, as I sit here kicking off the render at 3am, it's clear that getting this release out this month is gonna be a push. Hell of a push. There's still sound design to do too. I'm glad we're not putting animation in this one just yet,

So just a heads up if things slip a little, still going to aim for end of the month though, just that this next couple weeks is going to be on crunch mode.

Hey all, it's been a while since the last public update!

We're getting real close the next release now, and patrons have had the chance to see some of the cool stuff that's coming out in the next version!

So what's been happening since our last release?

Well we've not just been busy writing and rendering, but also made a solid push into Blender. Since then, we've been previewing weekly animation tests and renders. It's been a blast and really encouraging. This also means we're slated to have animation from the next release on. It's a time consuming process, but to increase quality we won't have it any other way.

Now, this would be where I'll share some works as an example but unfortunately Patreon disallows nsfw material unless it's locked behind the member's wall. Why? Beats me. We're already tagged as nsfw and segmented off from the main patron pages.

So! If you'll like to share your opinions in polls, see wip renders or exclusive nsfw animation, please consider joining our community, you'll also be directly supporting this project in a tangible manner! (Thank you so much!)

Hey all, welcome to another weekly update. We're mere weeks away from the next release now!

There's quite a bit of buzz over this next release, especially in light of the successful animation tests some of you have seen over the past couple weeks.

That said, the initial release will not have animation yet - the time taken to animate will push the release back another couple weeks or so, so we'll have an initial release first - then followed by a 0.5 update that includes animation.

Now on to the actual release update - I estimate us to be about 70% done at this point, maybe 80%. It's really now close, it's about the time where I start to re-render shots that have errors/not quite good enough.

At this point the biggest bottleneck is the crappy graphics card. But fear not, I'm in the process of saving up everything I can to procure a better card, might take a couple months though, since this project is still relatively unknown to most. We'll get there eventually!

In the meantime I'll do all I can to optimize for timely updates.

Hi all, hope you've had a great week. I'm happy to report that my ear infection is mostly clearing up - at least I'm not getting crazy ringing in my ear now, just a bit of pain. Should clear up in another week.

And for the renders, I'm also happy to report that we've blown past the half way point sometime back. I'm estimating the release to be This Month. This week also marks the start of the sound design for the next release, though the good news is we've stocked a pretty substantive library of sounds from the previous releases.

There's been some rewriting going on in the background as well, as we look at the story as a whole and pace out the character progression. This is the final release before we split the route after all - there have been some hints peppered here and there throughout and it's time to bring them to a head!

Next - The Visual Novel Conference is today! In 1 hour from now actually. I'll be attending this online only event and working on rendering at the same time. It's going to be a really busy weekend!

There should be multiple updates throughout the day as I update more WIP stuff for the various Patreon tiers, including some animation! Please keep an eye out for those :)

That's it for this week, it's been crazy busy despite everything, and I cannot wait to present the chapter in this story to everyone.

Hey all, how's it going? Gonna be a quick one this week - I've had a ear infection for a week now, it's been driving me mad with this constant ringing in the left ear. Self medication isn't working so it's off to the doc next week. Needless to say it's affected my work a fair bit this week. Still, I've managed to do some shots every day, but it's really been less then ideal.

I cannot wait to get this fixed, probably have better news next week. Till then I'll keep trucking along best as I can.

Hey all, how's everyone doing over the holidays? Hopefully you've all had the chance to rest!

Over on my end, our renders have been going rather smoothly, if a little slow. I'm back from my travels and we've got a bunch of renders ready to go. It's looking really nice, though it also means I have a ton of work to do while keeping to this quality!

On the Blender front, I'm happy to announce I've successfully transferred (and animated) facial blend shapes! These have eluded me for weeks, just simply refusing to transfer correctly over, but no longer! Still tweaking these a little. expect to see them as part of higher tier post soon, it's really looking great.

All in all, a pretty decent week despite all the travelling! We should be hopefully weeks away from a release at this point. I'm aiming for January - fingers crossed!

Full sized raw render for the next update, before any colour corrections or adjustments. While it took a fair bit to setup the lighting in this shot, I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out!

Might do a public update eventually with this image as a lighting case-study.

Hey all, Christmas is upon us and before we know it it'll be the new year!

This month really went by in a flash - maybe its the huge amount of work, but everything just sort of blends together after awhile.

Busy is good though, that means we've got a clear path to follow and a plan to execute, and that is exactly what's been going on for the week. We're back to the familiar process of posing/lighting/rendering, and while there's festivities going on through the most of next week, I expect to have more time after that to keep things going at a constant pace.

There's gonna be some travelling required next week, but we've got it planned out - get a massive render going and let it do its thing 24/7. We've got remote access setup and should be able to log in on my phone to monitor things. Really living in the future here.

However that does mean no animation tests for a bit until things quiet down, all time will instead be dedicated to getting as many scenes posed and lit as we can. So that we'll have enough to feed the render farm until my return.

WELL. There's a crap ton of work to do, and not much time. (Never enough time!)

Seeing how successful the previous animation tests have been, I figured I might be able to squeeze a couple out every now and then (Both SFW and NSFW kinds) since the rendering time is negligible (Barely 30 mins for a 30 frames loop. This would have taken a week to render in Daz.)

This would help me test new techniques and develop best practices for animating in Blender.

However, I'm reluctant to use our story characters too much - it cheapens the eventual pay off in the story if we're seeing a new animation involving them every other week. (There will be some though :) just not too much)

So. The big question, what characters then should we use for the tests? I could just grab a random one but I figured people would want to see something they like, so why not?

Here's Liane integrated into a real environment - so what's different from the regular renders? Well for one this only took about 2 mins to render. I think that about says all that's needed :)

Unfortunately all our environments are digital, but we might find a use for this technique yet!

Hey all, welcome to another weekly update!

Let me hop right to the current status - Dialogue is done, earlier then expected actually.

So I've spent a good amount of time this week improving my knowledge of Blender, like how does one do boob physics? (For real, animation test coming soon!)

This week also marks the beginning of layout and lighting of the shots, we should start up the olde' render farm really soon and begun churning out shots within days.

There's not much else to add, it's been a really productive week. Even though I'm still not satisfied with my knowledge of Blender, it's only been a couple weeks, I'm sure we'll eventually 'get it'.

And these are some of the wips. So much better from the renders from last week. Been testing it in various lighting conditions and it's looking pretty good. Again, these are not renders - they're all real-time, acting like a game engine. I especially love how the cloth looks wrapped tightly around Liane's arm.

These don't look better then a proper render from Daz (the software I use for all renders), but I really just need it to be good enough to do animation in. Animating in Daz is like painting with a toilet brush while wearing mittens.

Happy weekend everyone!

As you can see from the banner, I've made substantial progress with Blender. Skin, texture and shaders are working much better!

I've got a plan on what to do with this new found power... patrons on the nsfw tier please hang in there, I'll show some WIP soon as I can!

Back on the topic of writing dialogue, I gotta admit, I got too ambitious with my previous estimate of finishing it within the week, I'm about 3 days out from finishing the first draft. So some solid progress, but not quite done yet.

It's also the backbone of any release so I definitely don't want to rush it just for the sake of hitting a self-imposed deadline - if the writing is bad, no pretty images is gonna save it.

Note that is is just the dialogue though, the main story has already been plotted out to the end of this route. There are some great moments coming up and I cannot wait to chew through all of these setups so we can get those bits soon! So thanks for the patience. We'll make this a good one!

Whats amazing about the above render, is that everything is in real-time! It's effectively a game engine that runs at 30fps with raytraced lights and all.

Though as you can see, the colours are washed out, the hair lacks definition, and it's not casting shadows correctly. There's a hundred things on the list that needs fixing before this is ready to be used for actual production.

Once these are ironed out though... character animation here we come! ;)

Welcome to another weekly update! It's been another busy week. As you can see from the banner above, the rendering looks...kind of different doesn't it?

That's me trying to port the models from DAZ to Blender, it's still strictly a test at the moment, hence the washed out colours. I'm still coming to gripes with the shader. Just getting to this point took hours of experimentation. But still it's looking good!

If we get this working, it means animation becomes a real possibility, and we'll get animations with every update. Gonna take a while for me to figure this out though.

Now for story updates -

I'm happy to note that the whole romance path is already plotted out till the end of what I'll call Act 1. And yes that includes our characters consummating their relationship. Will there be an Act 2? Possibly. But I don't want to artificially extend a story for just the sake of having a longer story. Maybe an epilogue chapter might work better. We'll figure this out once we get closer to the end.

As players of the game would know - our MC is slowly coming to terms with his feelings, he feels a twinge of guilt, longing, and still a little lost in life. He's never been truly tested.

When push comes to shove, how will someone like him react to the circumstances? It's the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the situation. And that, is where things get meaningful for us. All the little choices we make that hints at his character, will slowly devolved into choices that once taken, we can't go back from. As the old proverb goes:

"The road to hell is paved with good intentions." And so there goes his choices...

Hey all, here's the 13.5 release, should you choose to start a new game, you'll now get the option to start Day 4 with two options - Party (Corruption), or no Party (Romance).

There's also been a slew of polish changes stemming from feedback.

Change logs -

Added scenes to work in Romance route from Day3 to Day4

Fixed Day4 grammar and dialogue

Adjusted music loops (They don't loop continuously through most of the game now, instead only coming in certain times.)

Romance it is. Which is just as well, since I’ve finished plotting that path till the end. Dialogue for the next release is in progress now and should be done by end of the week.

Actual progress update post is yet to come, I’ll describe the plot progression in greater detail, our character motivations and plans for the coming months.

Hey all, welcome back for another weekly update!

It's been a really busy week as we churn through the images for a 13.5 release, now the route should flow smoothly when you choose the romance option to stay behind instead of going to the party.

Thankfully since most of the ground work (assets, props, lighting, sound) has already been done, it's been a relatively smooth process. Looking for new assets and setting up the lights truly takes the most time.

As always here are the change logs -
