Hey all, hope you've been enjoying the new update!Sorry for the blurry banner, it's a direct viewport capture from a wip shot.

Those hanging out in the discord channel would have noticed my status popping in and out of Daz and Scrivener the entire day. That's the next update slowly taking form!

Since I've started writing this awhile back I'm glad to report that writing and dialogue is all done now - it'll still be continued to be refined over the next couple weeks of course, but it's largely all there!

It's not a massively huge update, mostly to tie in the Day 3 Romance route (By not going to the party) into Day 4's route in a way that makes sense.

Being able to essentially reuse most of the lighting setups and scene layout saves a massive amount of time. Usually lighting a shot alone would take days, before it's finally good enough to be used as a master lighting file for that scene. As a result, I've already chewed through a good 20% of of the new shots need. Some shots will see some reuse, if it makes narrative sense of course.

But this is the easy bit, there's the morning conversation bit that needs a fair bit of new shots and posing characters takes time, especially fingers. So many finger joints! Pose libraries can only take you so far.

So, wasn't gonna post an update so soon but I feel like there's been enough significant progress to warrant a shout-out!

One important thing to note! I realized that if you've stopped at the romantic route (Stay home instead of going to party) It'll look like nothing has been implemented. Huge miss on my part.

Reason why it's like this, is because I work on main route/romance route alternately until we reach the route split.

This will be smoothed out in the 13.5 update that's coming, to hook up better then the new content.

Sorry if it's confusing, I promise it'll all work better once the 0.5 update is out!

In the meantime, please start a New Game and select Jump to Latest Day.

Hey everyone! so after a couple day's rest, I finally gathered my thoughts and feedback thus far.

Thanks so much for your support everyone, people has really been anticipating this release, and it has been largely positive! When most of the comments are 'we want more', I think we're on the right track!

Getting this one out has been a major milestone for us, as the story starts to coalesce and the intentions of our character becomes more clear. That said, just because one's choice is clear, it doesn't mean we can instantly act on it. Rather, it acts as a beacon for our future actions when choices are called into question - to whichever ends it leads to.

We are rapidly approaching the route split and I can't to finally sink our teeth into the meat of the story!

That said, there's also been some confusion as to the different routes and their state of progress. This definitely should have been clearer, so here's a chart!


So in simple terms - 0.5 releases added the romance sub route, and we should expect another 0.5 update soon to tie in the last route into the current update!

It's not incredibly different from the current Day 4 aside from the morning bit with Liane (Since we never went to the party in the romance route.)

Please expect this in the coming weeks!

Now on the more logistical side of things - the last 4 weeks has been a none stop whirlwind of last minute fixes and changes. Plus, the late decision to add sound surely hasn't helped improve my workload! I've missed multiple self-imposed deadline to improve things further and I hope you'll find that it's a much improved experience.

Writing has already started on the upcoming updates a couple weeks ago, currently we're putting the story through its paces to make sure the route split is convincing - this is not a decision our MC can take lightly after all!

There's a hundred other things I'll like to talk about but this'll have to do for now, there's more work to be done and I've got writing to get back to, see you guys soon - maybe in another midweek update if I've the time!

Hey remember earlier this week when I thought I'll just build a sound library from scratch and integrate it into the game in one week?

Yea about that..

Turns out gathering sound assets, doing sound design, editing it, and coding it into the game is a metric ton of work. Who knew?!

I apologize for my English, I use a translator, but this update is just fantastic !!! For a long time I was looking for something similar in games from other developers, but you came closest to everyone! It is as if we have shared secret dreams with you, which you embody in digital images, musical accompaniment and narration on behalf of the main character. But what struck me most was how you show the main character. The fading beauty of an adult woman - in my opinion, you have shown excellently! I have seen many works of this genre, but you are beyond competition! Keep up the pace and get more patrons! Unfortunately, they have not yet seen the potential that is inherent in your work, but I am sure that this will change.

Just finished another play through of the release, and I'm happy to say it's effectively done at this point. Sound really adds a ton to the experience. That'll probably be my focus for the rest of the week - building a sound library and integrating it.

I gotta say, I feel like I wanted to tell more of the story when I reached the end of the release, despite having almost double the amount of content it's still not quite enough! But one can only wait so long for a release hm? No worries, already working on the next release after this as we speak!

You know what else makes the experience even better? Bespoke music for each emotional state our MC is in. These are terribly expensive unfortunately so I'm afraid that'll have to wait!

Post release polls will be up a week after release so Patreons, please keep an eye out for those!

Hey all! Hope you've had a great Halloween! Myself? I went as Tired Game Dev. Loads of fun, that one.

Now the more eagle-eye amongst you would have noticed the banner image today looks suspiciously familiar...and it is! Without further ado, here's the full res render (colour graded and post work done)

For those new, this is a shot I was working on a while back, getting the right pose and expression took a long time, then getting the lights to hit it just so (note the slight orange rim light on her shoulders, and slight blue tint on her lips.) took even longer!

I strive to hit a certain quality on every shot, though not always successful, sometimes rendering times gets in the way.

Now on to news of the next release, it's almost done! Turns out I do need the extra week or so , it's just furiously rewriting dialogue to fit and syncing sound effects to each scene. (Yes we're getting sound design!)

Still, there's just one of me doing the main dev work, so apologies for the delay,

Holy hell it's the 20th already? Of Oct?

Welcome back everyone, to another weekly update!

So, if you take a look at the banner image this week, you'll noticed it's really blurry. It's annoying but another it's something that I've been busy fixing all week (All the blurry odd images that is, not this one image.) There's about 6 - 8 renders to fix, so it's not a big deal. A little annoying, but not a deal breaker.

We've started integrating the rest of the images and coding in the dialogue (which was written weeks ago, so no problems there!) Not completely happy with the flow, so we'll be working into that while the images continue to render. Our goal is to finish this release by the end of the month, but I'll not put out something half-arsed. If one extra week means a significant increase in quality, then I'm gonna give it that extra week or so.

Meanwhile, watch this space, my machine has been so busy rendering every second I'm away/sleeping I've had no time at all to render pinups and now there's a massive backlog! They'll be next on the list as I push out this release, thanks for hanging in there!

Time for another late update! Awesome news this week, to get to the point - all renders are done! Some fixes left to go (eg: missing shoes because I forgot to add them to our scene in a few shots) but otherwise it's largely done! This means I can spend the next week just hammering out the dialogue with the final renders, also means a ton of rewrites to get the story to flow right.

It's crazy how much work it took, but I'm really looking forward to this update, I hope you are too!

One thing I like to do when writing a new update, is to replay the game incessantly - lots of time right from the beginning too. This takes up quite a = bit of time, and I like to do this without skipping any of the dialogue.

But why though?

There are many reasons, one of which, is to get myself back into the 'feel' of the story, and the flow of the proceedings. What might just be an hour of gameplay, takes months to make. And in that process, it's very easy to lose sight of the ebb and flow of the story - because while it feels like a lot of time has passed on my end, when no time has passed at all for our characters.

This could be a reason why in some games the characters sudden rushes into relationships and the explicit so quickly. It's so easy to lose sight of the pacing.

So whilst I work out the kinks in the story, thanks for coming by to read the updates for another week, and for being patient as I hash everything out.

Hey all! Welcome to another update - I'm mostly just churning out shots now. I also realized I've made a bit of a mistake with some of the past renders.

I've been rendering a whole segment at 4k resolution. So that's why it's taking so long no matter how I optimized. Good news is, you'll be getting about 50+ images worth of 4k renders with the next update. Hah!

Hopefully the renders will be done within the week and I can start integrating them properly by next week!

Hey all, it's been a busy week for me, with multiple renders going out every night as I crunch through this last bit!

Well at last I can say the posing and lighting is finally done! That really took much longer then I thought it would, owned in no small part to the larger amount of renders, higher quality renders, and my incessant nitpicking even when it meant I had to redo large parts of my renders.

So, what's next? For one, nightly renders will still be going out - we have about 200+ shots this time (compared to just over 100 last time), of these about 160 are rendered, so about 40+ to go.

I'm not gonna just sit and wait for the renders though, its time to integrate all the assets into renpy and start going through my scripts and rewriting it. I wish I could go faster - there's still so much story to tell and we all want to get to the end!

Just a quick sneak peek as I start working through the last scenes today. I'm gonna be here allll night. There's multiple branching paths in this update and everything needs to be rendered! The paths aren't long but figuring out the routes and story behind has been time consuming. That's not including the major love/corruption paths either. These are just smaller minor branches within the story - I think I haven't turned off my machine in months!

Welcome back to the final weeks of this update!

Good god, has another week went by already?? But..I still have so much to do!

One subject has pique my interest these weeks - and that's transition scenes, interstitial scenes that occurs between one main event with the next. Their uses is of great interest to me as a storytelling tool, or rather, in the case of most visual games, the lack thereof.

Precious few are those where the story gives you a solid grounding in the physical location of your characters - often times the author will simply yank the audience from one location to the next with little though given to the traversal. Even fewer are those who uses these seemingly 'boring' moments to introduce character moments, to let our audience understand our characters at a deeper level. Mundane as it might be.

In my opinion, the mundane exists to give contrast to the more colourful moments. And who's to say we can't use those moments to foreshadow a future event, or just have a bonding moment?

Of course, there are no set rules in storytelling, and breaking them sometimes makes for an amazing moment, but as a general rule, yanking your audience all over the place exhausts their attention and is a rude break in immersion.

Thanks for sticking with me for another week! Still lighting and posing the very last scene now, fingers crossed I can get this done in a week and next stop - final renders!

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope everyone had a great week, sorry I couldn't post this earlier, there was batch of renders I really wanted to get out and that pretty much paralyzed my machine until it was done.

We're reaching the point where I'm just focused on churning out shots, good news though, we're on the last scene! After which it's just rendering everything and implementing the script and code in the branching paths! I've already done the ground work for this though so fingers crossed, this will be out soon! I'm already starting to plan for the release after this one. So much story to tell, so little time to do them!

Hey folks, time for another update! We're reaching the end of this dev cycle now, with just a few scenes left to go! I've put more effort into the amount of renders we get per scene to bring us closer to the characters.

What does that mean exactly? Long time players of VNs will surely notice that sometimes you get wall-to-wall text describing a sequence of events/actions....without actually showing you any of it! Sometimes this is necessary to keep the story moving at a reasonable pace, but sometimes this also happens in story critical moments. I've been trying to identify moments like these and adding more renders to show the action better.

When this release is done I'm probably gonna take a step back and look at places where I might have overdone it - your thoughts here would be really helpful to help inform my creative choices. I'll likely make a poll after reach release just to get a sense of how people are feeling.

Good Sunday everyone, wouldn't you know it it's September already! Time really files when you're busy!

So last week's poll gave some me some concrete answers to the kind of pinups to show here, I'll be trying my best to reserve the best for the game and not give away too much here!

Back to the actual progress update - Another batch of scenes done, and are ready for rendering, we're getting a bit of a branching path worked into this update - some content are exclusive to each path. So you'll want to start getting judicious with your save files soon! It also means we're doing double work for the same amount of story progression, I'm hoping everyone will like this!

Hi everyone, I hope it's been a great week for you.

There's so much to talk about this week! So first off - progress on the renders- I'm chunking through a sexy bit of the update and I'm not quite satisfied with how it's coming out. Probably need to re pose and render this segment, it does mean a bit of work is wasted but well, part of the process I suppose. I could say screw it and just move on to the next scene but... I'm sure everyone here has come to expect a certain level consistency!

Next up, animations! So I've been ceaselessly chasing after this - how on earth can I do animations when one frame takes hours in Daz3D? A simple 1 second animation (@24 frames per second) would take a week to render! Not to mention my machine is essentially frozen for the entire duration of the render.

But then 2 weeks ago saw the launch of Blender 2.8, it's a massive massive upgrade. The last time an update this big came out was about 9 years ago, so I've been doing some tests in it and yowza. I'm getting real-time feedback (like a game engine), and while the real time render is not as pristine as a proper Daz3D render, it's more then sufficient for our needs. Even taking reflective surfaces into considerations (the bane of any raytraced renders) it's blazing fast. I'm talking instead of 2-4 hours per render, it's now just mins. :mindblown:

It does come with some setup costs though - every single model needs to imported into blender, and the textures and shaders re-setup for it to render. Human characters will also require rigging setup, face blend shapes, body blend shapes, plus the aforementioned shader/texture setup. That is to say, there is no way we're gonna be able to fit this into this update.

I might be considering doing a 0.5 update (AFTER this current update is done) just to introduce some animations into our current scenes. Lets see how that goes, if it takes way too long I'll just focus on the next update instead. But still this is exciting news! I can see the possibilities!

Good Sunday everyone! How quickly another week just passes by!

It's been crazy busy on my end as we inch towards the next release, I feel like I've been at this forever, just grinding at it day after day. Good news is, another chunk of renders has finished and we're making steady progress.

We spend almost a month doing mostly writing at the beginning of this release, and it has paid off quite a bit, informing decisions on scenes, locations and characters. I imagine this would continue to pay off down the line as we move on. I wish I have another pair of hands, but for now, thanks for being patient, it's been a comforting source of encouragement for me as I march towards the next release.

Hey all! It's about 3am here as I type up this update. So much to do, so little time. Would it that I can do this full time. Nevertheless, we've made some progress this week!

So things done -

  • Render times shrunk further down to 100 mins per render, I seem to be reaching the point where any further tweaks will have an uncomfortable impact on quality.
  • 20+ new shots done, was hoping to get more but I ended up spending a couple days building the set needed. With this out of the way, there should be just 1 more set to build for this release!
  • Catching up on backlogs of renders to the scenes posed.

I still want to take some time out to do some sexy renders for you, dear patreons. Rest assure I haven't forgotten.

Gonna kick off some renders and have a rest, tomorrow's gonna be another busy day.

Hey all! Gonna make a short(er) one this week so I can jump right back into posing - Good news! 11 hour renders are no more, they are 3/4 hours now. I want to get this down to 1 hour if I can. I really don't want to go back to the muddy renders but a balance needs to be struck. Optimizing is slow (gotta wait hours to see if it worked) but we're slowly getting there!

Next up - I underestimated how big this update will be D:

Our previous major update have around 130 renders. (Initial release had barely 80!)

I've already hit that 130 figure (which means its about ready to release had this been the previous update!) and turns out..this is just over half done. Yikes.

Something something Best laid plans..

It is my self imposed deadline but still. It's taking too long, I have shots to pose and renders to do, thanks everyone for being patient. It's much appreciated. I'll be grabbing a coffee and doing some serious overtime time for the next couple weeks.

Hey all, it's the end of the week and time for another update!

This crazy heatwave finally looks like its about to be over - my pc restarted by itself once while I was away. I'm not certain it's the heat but it's never happened before! Not much harm done otherwise thankfully.

On to render news - we've got another full scene done, though some needs to be re-rendered (renderer picking up wrong camera, depth of field has wrong settings etc) would it that I can catch everything before I render, but when you have 100s of shots, some inevitably gets missed.

The speed of rendering though is giving me some concerns, maybe it's due to the high amount of reflective surfaces, but some shots are taking 11 hours to render. That's completely unacceptable. This means I'm barely rendering 2 shots a day. And I can't work when it's rendering. It might be worth the time to just spend a couple days to figure out how to optimize the scene.

So while we're past the half-way mark on scenes posed and lit, we're a couple weeks behind on the actual renders. It's not ideal..but we'll get through it.

That said, the renders are all looking amazing, none of that muddy looking renders you see in the previous releases. Thanks for your patience and I'll see you next week with more updates!

Here I am sitting down, crafting facial expressions when I finally manage a look of exasperation and amusement. Just what did our MC say to her? I'm rather pleased with how this looks so I'm releasing this to everyone as a quick mid-week peek!

This is just a screengrab from DAZ, final render with colour correction will look much better!

Edit: Looking at this again, I realized this might be a great chance to show the sort of things that I look at when crafting an image like this and why it's so time consuming!

  • Slight highlight on her lower lip, getting the right angle and amount of light to hit is really hard.
  • Reflection on glasses. Some of these are faked with an off screen light source, tuned just to hit that perfectly. Without it the glasses look fake.
  • Orange rim light on her shoulders, makes her pop out better from the background, getting that to look right without her skin looking orange is an art unto itself!
  • Blue light catching the screen left side of her face, placed wrongly that will fight with the other lights causing unpleasant shadows and skin tones.

That's of course on top of the usual scene lighting, finger posing, expressions and wardrobe and getting that depth of field to look right. I've taken to painting out intersections in Photoshop so that should be less of an issue now.

Most of these are subtle but adds that touch of realism and gives it a more cinematic look. Hopefully this gives a better insight into the process needed to bring this story to life. Every frame a painting indeed!

Uhuu. Just started in Daz3D as a total noob, becaue I have some really good ideas for a Ren'py story (noob too). When I read what good artists do to make their renders look like the look I am getting quite depressed about the upcoming learning curve ... Can't wait for more of this excellent MILF!

Thanks, please look forward to it! As for getting a good render, don’t be afraid to spend time to pose and light your character, it’s not unheard for to spend hours just getting expressions and posing right. Especially with how twitchy Daz is with posing. As for lighting, I’ll suggest starting with the basics - read up on 3 point lighting, it works great in most situations.

Not sure where to vote, but I always prefer mostly romance with just a bit of corruption to eventually make sex possible. Great story so far. Looking forward to the progression

Hey all, it's another progress update - hope you've had a great week!

We're slowly but surely churning through our scenes, I've been rewriting a few scenes because of how it hooks up to the next next update. Downside - I need new assets and layout for this rewrite. I'm sourcing them as we speak and hopefully won't have too much of an impact on our release.

I'm been picky with the posing and it's costing me some time, but I believe this extra care will show in the final result! Thanks for checking in, and have a great weekend!

Wow, another week went by just like that and we're halfway through July! I wish we have more hours in a day. There's just too many things to do and too little time. I hope your week was well spent!

On my end, we've been crunching through shots steadily. We're got some really nice renders as you can see from the preview banner above! It took a long time to get the lighting and reflections to hit just right though (not to mention the posing!) I've seen far too many odd posing and broken anatomy to allow that in any of our scenes, I won't be able to sleep like that!

So there we have it, this week's progress. Starting next week we might get too deep into spoiler territory so I'll need to curate the sort previews we see here. Don't worry if everything looks like it's in a similar location - I'm holding back stuff!

Happy weekend all, thanks for being patient - That was a painful week but I'm off painkillers now and things should be back to normal.

So what's the progress like now? Well we're back to the previous track of lighting/layout/posing 20-30 scenes each week, and finishing up everything over the next couple of weeks. While this is taking place, I'll also be busy with the surprise I've mentioned earlier, hopefully everything works out the way I have in my head and we'll have a great update coming your way soon!

But what's progress without some form of deadline? Looking at the amount of work that needs to be done, I'm going to say 5 weeks ++ to get them all to a releasable form.

Indeed as I type this, I'm already working into getting the new poses done - I want a chunk of shots finished each day so we can dump everything into the render queue.

So without further ado, I'll get right back to work on the next release, thanks for checking in, and I'll see everyone next week with our new progress!

Hey all, I hope you've all had a lovely week. I've got a bit of a painful news this week - I've had to have a tooth taken out due to an impacted tooth causing infection. I'm on painkillers and it's been hard to work...

I'm still rendering daily (there's a back log of scenes that needs rendering) but the work rate has slowed down in afraid. Hopefully I'll be good as new in a few days.

A combination. Hesitant , conservative, but hinting at her what she's feeling until she lets go, then sensuous and passionate. I really like the female MC in the romance path a lot. Some signs of age around the edges, but toned and sexy.

At least he changed his clothes this time before dozing off, you'll notice that he still hasn't gotten around to dealing with that laundry basket.

I really like our morning scenes, the low sunrise makes for some beautiful shots.

Just a note about wip shots like these - lighting might not be final, and there's no grading done to them, so this is about as raw as it gets. None of the finals will look like this so if you like exclusive behind the scenes renders, this is the only place to see them!

Good Saturday everyone! Time for another progress update - so what's new this week?

  • We're deep in scene setup and posing now, and averaging 15+ poses/layouts a day, this includes lighting the shot.
  • Layout is long because good cinematography takes time, eg: It's not just pointing a camera at our character. Rather, using the camera to invoke emotions plus generate interest.
  • Rendering is taking place whenever I'm not at my machine to maximise uptime!
  • My machine is slow however :( there's a hard limit on numbers of renders per day.
  • Typically this is the longest process for each release, taking up to 5 weeks sometimes. This is partially my fault because I do a ton of re-renders when I'm not happy with how a render looks. "Every frame a painting" is something I try my best to strive towards.
  • Getting nice contrasts and silhouettes takes patience and time!

I estimate us to be about 10% done for renders, and going up by about 20% per week. The percentages are moving smaller each week because this update is a fair amount bigger!

Otherwise, this is the main gist of this week's progress. Everything is clipping along nicely and on schedule. I'm holding back some nice surprises until I can get a better idea if we can pull it off on time, so watch this space!

Welcome to another update folks. Hopefully you've had a great week, if not - well it's the weekend now!

This week has been really busy, for one, I've finished writing both the story and dialogue for the next release, plus fleshed out more of the story outline for the next two.

You'll see that the progress for both story and dialogue is now at 90%, for those new here, 90% is how I denote something is being "done" here. The last 10% is for last minute fixes and changes as we progress through the update. You'll see some changes as we march towards our next release, but it is essentially done!

So next up, the visuals - character and environment tests have started, this is when I essentially do a 'Master' light setup for each environment we will use and set dress it as needed. That way we can reuse both the lights and environments when we start the actual layout. There's almost 10 new environments this time round so it's a fair amount of work! (Each environment is counted when there's a a substantial change in the props and set. Eg: Dressing Room is a separate environment from the Store Front even though they are technically the 'same' location." As is dressing room Exterior vs Interior)

This update is shaping up to be the biggest one by far! I cannot wait to finish it and hear your thoughts on this!

Lastly, there are some character test renders and..sexier versions coming soon for the Cookies and Pies. It's cooking in the oven right now!

Happy weekend everyone. I hope you've been well, I'm suffering through a bit of power outage right now but fingers crossed, all should be well come next week.

But perhaps that is just as well that I'm focusing on writing instead of trying to push renders this week, things have an odd way of working out eventually :)

So as some of you might know, we're taking this week and most of next week to do some heavy writing - not just for the next update, but also to properly flesh out the character beats and set moments for the rest of this chapter!

For for the benefit of those who joined us later in the party here are some quick points on our current story progress and what's been planned - We're fast approaching day 5/6 in our story, this is the moment where all our decisions made so far is going to have the most significant impact on our story moving forward. Or more precisely, the split between the love/corruption route.

What's significant about this? Our MC has been struggling with his feelings thus far, unsure of how he should deal with them even as he occasionally succumb to his baser instincts. Eventually he's going to need to make a choice, make a decision on where he stands. And that moment is fast approaching.

So what happens after that? Well, if our dear MC is now clear on where he stands.... then it's time to see if we can get our love interest to come around to his way of thinking.

Through Love? Or Corruption?

So as I've detailed in an earlier post, we're fast approaching the point where our main character needs to make a decision (which will then allow the more..sexy things to happen.)

We need to be careful here so as not to push the bounds of realism, the setup has to be right or nobody's going to be convinced this is something that could possibly happen.

Writing has always been the main focus of this game, and we've received many encouraging comments to that effect. I believe we set a high bar compared to most other games in our genre when it comes to writing. However that doesn't mean we're happy with it...quite the opposite rather. I think we can do much better. As such, I'm going to take the next couple weeks to do a thorough script revision to set us up for the future.

While it does means this will push back our next release by a few weeks, I think in the long run, this is for the best. I already have a few ideas ruminating (and hinted at in game) and I'm just dying to get to it.

One more thing.

So this is the biggie, and something I've been holding back from talking about for the longest time now - and that is Animation. I've a bit of experience animating. So that means obviously I'll want to get some into my game.

Unfortunately Daz3D is absolutely horrible for animation, just terrible. I'm looking at porting the models into Blender/Maya to get around this but it's been a huge technical mess and frustrating to deal with. Not to hype this up too much but it's coming. Probably not in the next release, but it's coming.

Obviously people will now want to see what sort of animation quality we are looking at? Well it's not Pixar I can tell you that :) I'll be posting some examples later. Due to Patreon rules however, these has to be locked behind Patreon posts unfortunately, sorry :(

Just randomly stumbled across this game and wow, I love it! You're doing something that's a bit different than what most do and it's definitely refreshing. The 'romantic interest' actually looks an appropriate age and the build-up, while slow, is very titillating and thus enjoyable! Definitely don't rush things! This is really good so far. Keep doing what you're doing and support for it will surely follow.

Hey all, the new release is out and Patreons have access to it right now.

Public release will come in a week so watch this space!

So as usual, some thoughts on this release -

This is a 4 week release, as oppose to my usual 8-10 weeks. Therefore it's a bit on the smaller side, but as it should be, since it's just a side branch off the main story. Or more specifically, the first real bits of the romantic route. I made this as a proof of concept of sorts - just to give a taste of what it'll be like once we start down that route!

The real route split will come in around day 5/6, after which we split off for real - there's no turning back. We're fully invested in our choices.

So for those here for the first time, welcome and I hope you'll like it here. And for the older fans, thanks for hanging around. Hold tight, we're going down this rabbit hole, lets see where it leads us!

Happy Friday all! After some quick last minute renders, the new release is finally ready!

This is probably the fastest I've worked so far, having to write, render, and light everything in 4 weeks. With the extra rewrites, re-rendering and cloth simulation giving me trouble, I'm glad this made it out at all! But without further ado, here are the links.

Welcome to another week of progress update everyone, and likely the last one for this next release! Our renders are done, minus some some patch fixing that needs to happen. 1st pass writing is also done, I'm now busy coding everything in. Usually this is the point where we'll find that an extra image or two is needed to tell the story better.

I'm starting to reach the point where it feels like some audio cues are needed to bridge the scenes better (eg: hearing the sound of cooking before going into the kitchen.) Maybe an audio patch in the future to improve the experience? Regardless, content updates still comes first so - we'll got a week left and plenty to do!

I'm putting my nose to the grindstone now and I'll see you all next week! (Or sooner!)

First thing you'll noticed is that this image is massive - twice the normal size to be exact!

In an effort to reduce graininess, we're now doing double size renders and scaling it back down to normal size. The results look stunning! Which also means, yes, this full sized image is exclusive to this post.

Behind every successful cloth simulation (both her inner and outerwear in the image above have physics simulation) is a whole mess of failed attempts. Part of the process in our pursuit for ever higher quality in each release.
