Hi guys, the time has come for Regolo Engine 1.12, and as always we will try to explore uncharted territories.

This is also the first step of the migration from old system to new one. It will take a bit to finish since the old one is very complex and it's not trivial to reshape its intricacies, Anyway some of the new features in here are a good start.
Still a net separation between the "on the couch" world and the "freedom" one but I begin to see the light.

Two important notices before going on.

Video is a bit better but still sucks. Considering getting a new cpu+mobo+ram probably just for VaM πŸ˜‘ . Tried everything, from fresh windows install to memtest, fps is a disaster for me lately.

Also, since new cowgirl is very dynamic I posted a full session video too from which I took all the shots in the promo video. It's without audio because I'm a noob but it gives an idea of the versatility and stability of the new behaviour.
I wrote a little paragraph about what you see in the video and what I did in it (like the head grabbing).

What's new

Here's an overview of the new stuff, check the next paragraphs for insights and instructions on some of them.
The new behaviours and the girl-UI are accessible from the wanderer mode and from the standard dance mode.

behaviours

  • new omni-behaviour: cowgirl
    - a brand new cowgirl that lets you interact and change actively the pose
    - very versatile while keeping the penis inside, a lot of variations
    - you can trigger it anywhere you want
    - adapt body parts to perceived stance
    - respond to boy's hands and head in different ways
    - girl-UI options to customize the experience and to trigger/stop it
    - drunk mode
  • girl now knows how to come walking near you while you're lying, stand over you and sit on you
  • new girl idle horny state
    - you can trigger it while in idle touching/penetrating her
    - two arousal levels
    - she will eventually kiss you and/or masturbate you
    - UI options to customize the experience
  • new dance style, hip hop 1
    - first hip hop style dance
    - it turns towards you while dancing and supports complex mobility mechanism
    - now you can change dance speed in the girl-UI (only for second generation styles)
    - triggered by gestures and/or girl-UI

UI

  • new girl-UI
    - new UI that automatically knows the behavioural context and adapts to it
    - follows the girl and never overlaps to her or to you
    - you can change dynamically the visibility level
    - first real tangible meeting point between old and new system, at the end this will be the main control point of the whole experience
  • it's possible to disable girl-UI from general UI (this enable again manual triggers if they were disable)

walking

  • now the girl walks if the target behavour is too distant because of your positioning (i.e.: she moves before turning back for rubbing up or doggystyle and walks near you before cowgirl if you lie down too far)
  • now girl turns correctly when stops near you and in general (she did unnecessary turning)

config file

  • a new param to disable girl-UI at start time has been added to the config files

fixes

  • if you ask her to dance and there is no song in the folder now it's managed and no crazy behaviour will be triggered
  • fixed an error in hands movement in standard dance style 3

current known bugs

  • discovered that changing girl look while plugin is running creates issues, don't do that please (in case change look before the execution)

As always, if you notice something that is not working fine please let me know and I will try to fix it asap.

The girl-UI

So this is what I hinted to a few days ago. Finally Regolo Engine has a world UI. The new girl-UI lets me begin import some behaviours and concepts in the wanderer mode.

Let's start with some usage info and then let me vomit some concepts πŸ˜‚:

  • you can change visibility level using the +/- buttons
    - first level: nothing
    - second level: accessible behaviours
    - third level: options for the current behaviour
    - UI will remember your visibility choice.
  • you can change girl-UI options clicking the double arrow grey button. There you can modify the following:
    - H e V ui offset
    - always on
    - transparency timer
    - transparency value
    - enable manual trigger (default is disable, also this doesn't switch off girl reaction like hands movements or kiss)
  • gently follows girl during wanderer
  • adapts to user distance so you will never have it too near
  • adapts to girl height

So I'm very happy about the final result, since the new UI is:

  • contextual: only shows what really is related to the what the girl is doing in that moment, or that she can do form there
  • tiered: only shows what you decides is important, with first layer to be the potential next behaviour and the second to be options related to it
  • mobile: it always follows the girl but it never overlays to her, and always tries to be far enough from you. This way it's supposed to be always at hand, near and not invasive too
  • self-referential: all the settings related to it's visibility, transparency, position etc it's directly and always accessible from it
  • fancy: that is, I'm happy about the animated transitions πŸ˜‹

All of the above makes it minimal but also versatile and functional. If you want it can be just a "+" in the sky, otherwise you can have the control room of the experience (well, not many controls so far though)

Why it's so important? Well first and foremost it's a way to simplify the accessibility of information by the user. Obviously it can't be all nested in the plugin ui that instead it needs to become something related to the general functioning of the engine.

But more important the girl-UI lets the engine to encapsulate the context and give an easy and perfectly sized control point. This will be also perfect when making the old system and the new collide.

Ok, I talked too much, time to talk about the other main guest...

The second omni-behaviour: cowgirl

I have been thinking about this for a while. Cowgirl was a signature behaviour of the "couch" world, so I wanted to bring it in the freedom world as soon as possible. Now I did it and I can't complain, at least till I will feel the urge to do a third version 😁 .

So, some info about it. Not sure where to begin, a waterfall of interactions here:

  • you can trigger manually (going down with your head) or via girl-UI (please remember that manual triggers are disabled by default, you can enable them again in the config section of the girl UI)
  • also you can trigger it anywhere you want
  • she will automatically change pose, rear and front without any issue, she will adapt body parts to perceived stance
  • you can also grab her head and move it to change pose actively
  • new balancing system for hip, you can move her head where you want (reasonably), movement will not stop and cock will stay in. Try it and have fun
  • if you grab her head she will lose mind, suffer a bit, leave hands, turn back head and speed up
  • if touch her lips she will try to kiss your hand and will speed up
  • if you touch her hands with your while she is in a straight pose she will follow them and block the girl's pose
  • you slap her face, she will react to it while fucking
  • if you possess the boy (or not) and uplift the torso she will adapt her head to your head and will never go past you, like it would be normally
  • she will use her hands to balance her posture while very bent toward the floor
  • you can exit uplifting your head above a certain threshold or use the girl-UI

There are also some options accessible form the girl-UI:

  • head still: she will move the head but not change the inclination
  • drunk mode: gravity wins, she will not be able to maintain the head weight and will fall often to the side (It was an experiment and sometimes produces bad postures, but I had fun with it so I kept it as optional mode)

New interactions (aka the horny idle)

As you surely notice from the video, now girl can be aroused while in idle and even start to masturbate you. I started planning it as a reaction to user touching her while in idle, but then I enlarge the scope and became this.

Here some useful info about it:

  • if you touch her pussy she will enter in this state and react with all the body
  • you can trigger it touching/ her vagina with something (hand or better a dildo)
  • can access to it from the girl UI and from gestures (touching her pussy)
  • it will change depending on the depth of the touching
  • different poses
  • she will eventually touch your cock and masturbate it
  • you can move while she touches you, her hand will adapt to your pose (with limits, obviously)
  • you can force continuous handjob in the girl-UI
  • if you go near with your arm she could grab it while you touch her
  • you can freeze an arousal state in the girl-ui
  • you can force the girl to masturbate you when arousal from the girl ui
  • please remember you have to stay near to let her do most of the available action (like touch you or the handjob, or grab your arm only if you are near her pussy with the hand)
  • it ends when you stop touching her pussy or while you stop forcing one of the tow states form the girl-UI

About the full session video

So I decided to post a full session cowgirl video. Unfortunately it has not the audio because I'm a terrible video-editor, but luckily it shows a lot of the good stuff form this release.

Firstly all the clips in the promo are from this session. This shows how one single session was enough to collect all the needed material.
Then basically makes the viewer understand how much versatile and stable it is, and can give some hints on how to have fun during it. A lot in it could not be shown in the promo video.

For example during it I move her head a lot and reposition it even in extreme ways (yes, every time you see the head speed up to a side or to the rear/front it's me dragging it around).
Near the end you can also see how the girl relocates herself if you raise your head changing your torso inclination.
Also it shows what "head still" option in the girl-UI does (you can make it to maintain more or less the same inclination, it is useful if you want to bring her to a specific position and have her to stay there).
I enabled the drunk mode too in it, so have fun seeing her collapsing around while in it.

Obviously you will not see any VR specific action in it (hands follow, lips touch, slapping, since the sessions was filmed in desktop mode and some of them are not easily accessible from it.

Lastly, I'm very proud of the fact that a single shot of my plugin created what is basically a computer generated xxx movie, so I allowed me to celebrate this with an additional video 😊.


How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.12 has been built and tested on VaM 1.19.2.2.

  • download your version
  • put the zip file in the VaM folder and extract it there:
    - dll and config file will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Scripts/RegoloVR
    - room files will be placed under <VaM>/Saves/scene/RegoloVR
    - Audio and Dance folders will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Sounds/RegoloVR
  • [optional] put the songs files you want the girl to dance in the <VaM>/Saves/scene/RegoloVR/Dance folder
  • [optional] edit the proper config file (RegoloEngine_E.json for Enchanter or RegoloEngine_I.json for Illusionist )
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.12_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.12_I for Illusionist).
  • [optional] load the skeleton room instead if you plan a merge load with another scene
    possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] change the UI options as desired

Detailed instructions about dance folder and dance UI can be found in the 1.8 release post.

It's highly recommended to disable soft body physics to enhance the experience and avoid undesirable effects. Infact the many random frictions caused by most of the behaviours generated by the plugin cause unpredictable soft-physics reactions.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Please remember the furniture list known by the girl, below. You can delete and add duplicates but there always must be one and only one couch with the guy over it. Also, don't create steeplechases and create a regular environment as the standard room provided, please.

"AptSofa" (mandatory and just one) beside the sofa there should be at least one of the following known furniture (PlayerNavigationPanel for example, and they can be also more than one for type)

Limitations and caveat

- Consider always that anima and obsessions are mutually exclusive. Every time you choose one of them you lose the previous settings. You can check your current choice looking at the yellow info box at the lower left corner of the UI.

- The Enchanter room tries to load 500+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin. The songs for the dancing load at the beginning too (but can changed and reloaded in real time via UI).

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs.

- Some behaviours have really a large spectrum of possibilities, so some unlucky variations are unavoidable.

In the end

So, another step in the right direction in my eyes, soon I will make the two worlds merge and I think the engine will grow once more.

Next release will add a new missing link and I also have in mind a new exciting experiment that I hope to deliver.

Regolo Engine 1.13 will be out in July.

This is a really interesting use of VAM and looks like it has tons of possibilities, keep it up! One question i have is how do you move the male around the room? I've tried turning off all nodes except the head but he seems to be stuck to the couch. Do you know what I'm doing wrong?

Hi stabby, thanks! All of the last functionalities (like the free locomotion mode and basically all of the animations you saw in the 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12 promo video) are available selecting the "wanderer anima" in the anima drop menu. Just load the plugin, select "wanderer anima" and wait for the boy to stand up. Starting from there you will be able to move him by possession or using the keyboard arrows. The girl will walk near you and then you will be able to interact with her. Also there are a lot of additional info on controls, trigger, reactions and more in the previous three release posts (for example, if you look at her she will not follow you, otherwise if you are far enough she will move). Feel free to ask me if you feel stuck again or want insights πŸ‘.

Thank you! Not sure if it;s just me but everything (animations, speech etc) feels a little slicker in this release. The new menu system is cool and i can see the potential. Having the menu follow the girl was a little disorientating at first but i soon got used to it and the freedom cowgirl is my favourite behaviour so far. Really nicely done and the level of variation is great. Drunk mode really is too funny. Glad you left it ;) I'm curious about the general direction going forward - the thing i love best about the engine are behaviours like the mix@chair where the girl essentially become autonomous and feels like she has her own mind to decide what happens next. Do you intend to have similar behaviours available in the freedom world? Having a girl with a personality and ability to mix things up without explicit instruction is what makes the engine really special and unique from other button driven scenes IMO. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to doing some more testing later today :)

Hi Darren, thanks for asking. Yes the final aim is to make the "couch experience" available everywhere, so ultimately the possibility for the girl to choose autonomously what to do as in the mix@chair behaviour (and beyond that, in my head). That is what I refer to when I speak about the two worlds that collide. Obviously, since there are no more fixed reference point like the couch, I needed to create a more robust basis before then. It's no easy task, so I'm proceeding by steps. First I needed a locomotion mode different from the destinations system in place till then, for the boy and the girl. Then an evolved animation system robust enough to compensate positional variance. Then an UI that would give access to the different contextual information that now can change a lot. All of this (and a lot more) has been developed in the last three releases, before then it was impossible to translate a rail experience like the "couch engine" to the "freedom" one. Now a good number of tools are available, so from now on a more evident translation can take place more easily. I think you will recognize some of the old traits in 1.13 already, along with some crazy experiments I always love to do πŸ˜‰ .

Hi guys, welcome back. Let's walk another mile in our trip toward the perfect virtual encounter.

With 1.10 I promised you mobility and realism and here we are, Regolo Engine 1.11 will deliver. Perhaps too much realism, infact I expect this to be a controversial release because of some of the new interactions.
So let's start with a couple of disclaimers.

Two important notices before going on.

First, no virtual girl has been injured during the recording of this video πŸ˜‚
Jokes aside, it's important to underline that every interaction in the Regolo Engine must be considered part of a role-playing game in which both actors are consensual and willing to do so. I hope this doesn't hurt anyone's sensibility and obviously it doesn't want to promote violent acts on women.

Second point, I think one of the last Windows updates killed my pc. Decreased performance and random BSOD made me very difficult to work and even more difficult to create a decent video. SO this month just the 1080p (with some lag spikes), I'm sorry. I hope I will not be forced to retire my old cpu, it served great till now.

What's new

Here's an overview of the new stuff, check the next paragraphs for insights and instructions on some of them.

behaviours

  • first omni-behaviour: doggy style
    - you can trigger it everywhere
    - dynamically follow your position
    - manual or automatic boy's hips movement

  • now you can save walking settings in a file named walking.wlk and load any walking file .wlk previously saved
  • button to reset all the walking stats
  • button to randomize all the walking stats
  • changed terminology of walking stats using more appropriate pitch/yaw/roll
  • now you can modify yaw/pitch/roll of chest and hips
  • now you can modify feet's yaw

controls

  • now it's possible to control the boy during wanderer mode using the arrow keys for going forward and back and turning, and shift + left/right for strafing, and shift + up/down for vertical movement
  • now you can choose to invert wanderer locomotion and move freely the head as default, while having the body to follow using the L key, touching the belly or pushing both triggers on Touch controllers

config file

  • renamed first section of config file as "general"
  • new config file section for walking, where to choose the default walking file and if it has to be loaded at start time
  • added a wanderer anima section in the config file to choose the locomotion mode

misc

  • audio atoms have now a name different from the standard ones, so they don't conflict with preexisting atoms when merge loading with other scenes
  • now distance from girl butt to make her come close is smaller to avoid unwanted triggering

enchanter

  • [ENCHANTER] custom expression and sound for doggy-style, sounds in sync with your hips movements
  • [ENCHANTER] custom expression for when you slaps her
  • [ENCHANTER] custom speeches and sounds for when you slaps her
  • [ENCHANTER] custom expression for when you push her away
  • [ENCHANTER] custom speech for when you push her away
  • [ENCHANTER] custom expression for when you touch her lips
  • [ENCHANTER] custom expression for when you touch her nipples
  • [ENCHANTER] custom speeches for when you touch her nipples

Fixes

  • major bug found this month that could have created issues to behaviours executed after mix@chair because of physic stats incorrectly set, so if you noticed some inconsistencies in that scenario now they are probably fixed
  • new sentences from last releases were not added to cunnilingus behaviour

Current known bugs

  • If you start dancing while in wanderer without any song in the dance folder the girl will go crazy and plugin will stop working correctly. Please don't do it, a fix is planned for next release.

1.11 has really a lot of content, so if you notice something that is not working fine please let me know and I will try to fix it asap. Testing alone this stuff on a slow pc was a nightmare time wise.

Walking improvements and styles

Walking has been improved a lot since 1.10, even if it's still not perfect. You can think to previous one as a prototype compared to this.

Now girl turn more fluently e rapidly, forget the trajectory nightmares of last release. Also movement is a bit smoother, step is never too long or off, turning is on point. Even hands movements have improved, and now they avoid hitting the butt when possible.

Now you can modify rotations of chest and hips and more important you save your walking style to one or more config files that can be loaded later then.

So try change walking options and save it using the red button in the UI walking section.
When you save for first time your walking style a walking.wlk file will be create in the script folder. You can change name to the .wlk file and store more of them. When the plugin starts all the .wlk files are loaded, you can select one of them from the drop down menu, load it and overwrite it. If none is selected, just create a new one (always named walking.wlk)

This way you can create a lot of walking styles and change them as you wish. You can also share them here if you think you found some Naomi Campbell tier walking πŸ˜‚.

There are also a couple of new handy buttons to reset all the stats and random them, but this can be create something really strange, so I suggest to use it with caution.

Also You can invert locomotion styles, even if it's a bit hard to keep hands position in front of stomach while moving.

The first omni-behaviour: doggy style

This is what I had in mind when I decided to change direction and come back on the freedom rails in 1.10. Behaviours (sexual or not) that girl can do everywhere, with an high level of interaction and adaptability.

This is a new approach to sex in Regolo Engine, free from the spatial constraints. A lot of possibilities from here.

Doggy style can be triggered while the girl is rubbing up her butt against you. You have to push down her head and she will understand what you want.

You can go forward and back, turn your hips, even go up or down, the girl will follow and adapt to your stance (with some limitations of course, don't exaggerate).
Also the boy will change pose accordingly to maintain the penis inside.

You can drive the pushing with your head movement (as for the walking) or let the boy do it automatically by pressing the "k" key
You can also change the speed of the hips pushing using the "v" key. This change manual and automatic movements speed as well.
Please remember to have VaM in focus on the screen while in vr to have the key press to be detected.

Also, if you grab her head/hair, she will lose her mind and will to move, and will lean the head and the arms back. Moreover you will be able to move her head freely.

If you pull out the penis and take it far enough from her vagina she will go back to idle.

So I'm very happy with this first sexual behaviour, it gives a lot of freedom and has a good variety of gestures. You can calibrate the stance and unleash your creativity, sitting, pushing her on the wall, or trying to sit with her somewhere.
I personally had a lot of fun experimenting.

The new interactions

All of the following new interactions are active during idle.

  • slapping

Let's be honest, who didn't try to slap the doll at least one time πŸ˜‚ .
Now you can slap the face/head of the girl and she will react accordingly. You can also do it more time in a row and she will be bend under your punishment.

  • dancing

Grab both her hands while in idle to start dancing. All the styles are available in wanderer mode (you can select them in the UI dance section), even if I suggest to try out the new one since is more dynamic.

Grab her head while dancing to make her stop (not always easy, I know).

She will try to turn towards you during dancing style 3 (check the video), so she will give the impression to dance with you

  • pushing her away

In order to trigger the effect be sure you're pushing it on the chest, approximately between the nipples, applying a constant force without beating. Keeping the push at the end also helps.

If done correctly she will step back and lose equilibrium temporary.
This is not always easy to trigger, will try to tweak.

  • touching her lips

During idle try to touch her lips. She will lean back the head and (in enchanter) will lick your finger and do lewd expressions.

  • touching her breast

As for the lips touching her breast during idling will trigger a reaction of head and hands. She will look boy's hands and bring hear hands near the tits.

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.11 has been built and tested on VaM 1.19.2.2.

  • download your version
  • put the zip file in the VaM folder and extract it there:
    - dll and config file will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Scripts/RegoloVR
    - room files will be placed under <VaM>/Saves/scene/RegoloVR
    - Audio and Dance folders will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Sounds/RegoloVR
  • [optional] put the songs files you want the girl to dance in the <VaM>/Saves/scene/RegoloVR/Dance folder
  • [optional] edit the proper config file (RegoloEngine_E.json for Enchanter or RegoloEngine_I.json for Illusionist )
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.11_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.11_I for Illusionist).
  • [optional] load the skeleton room instead if you plan a merge load with another scene
  • possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] change the UI options as desired

Detailed instructions about dance folder and dance UI can be found in the 1.8 release post.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Please remember the furniture list known by the girl, below. You can delete and add duplicates but there always must be one and only one couch with the guy over it. Also, don't create steeplechases and create a regular environment as the standard room provided, please.

  • "AptSofa" (mandatory and just one) beside the sofa there should be at least one of the following known furniture (PlayerNavigationPanel for example, and they can be also more than one for type)
  • "DreamHomeWebTV"
  • "DSBR_Bench"
  • "AptPatioChair"
  • "AptBookShelf"
  • "DSBR_Bed"
  • "AptChair"
  • "AptCoffeeTable"
  • "AptSmartTV"
  • "AptSmartWebTV"
  • "AptTVStand"
  • "PlayerNavigationPanel"

Bugs and caveat

- Consider always that anima and obsessions are mutually exclusive. Every time you choose one of them you lose the previous settings. You can check your current choice looking at the yellow info box at the lower left corner of the UI.

- The Enchanter room tries to load 500+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin. The songs for the dancing load at the beginning too (but can changed and reloaded in real time via UI).

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs.

- Some behaviours have really a large spectrum of possibilities, so some unlucky variations are unavoidable.

In the end

So this release is a continuation of the 1.10 work. I'm more and more convinced that this kind of freedom is an improvement of the experience and that will move the engine on the right path, in particular when it will start merging the old and the new world.
Perhaps it will move slower since it's more difficult to design and code, but I'm confident the path will bring us farther.

IMPORTANT: please be aware that an interaction available during doggy style was not mentioned in the first version of the post. I edited it adding it in the summary and in the related section. Basically if you grab her head/hair she will lean back head and arms totally under your control, powerless, and you will be able to move her head freely. It's even present in the video at a certain point. Even if it's a minor feature I like it and I hope you will not miss it πŸ˜‰

Hey keycode, did you manage to install the enchanter zip file in here? Consider that since a couple of releases the zip file replicates the internal VaM folder structure, so you have to unzip it in the VaM home folder. You can find the main dll under Custom/Script/RegoloVR. Perhaps I didn't understand well the problem, or I screwed up something with the link and I'm too tired to recognize it πŸ˜‚.

Hi everybody, welcome to the Regolo Engine 1.10 release post.

This release represents an experiment I wanted to do for so long and was able to assemble only now. It's very different from the last ones but it's also the most exciting for me. It's an important evolution step and it's the perfect base for merging the two engine's souls, mobility and realism.

Let's have a look together!

Two important notices before going on.
Firstly, the new behaviours/functionalities in this release work through real time interactions, all of them. Be sure to check how to trigger them in the related section below.

Second point, I changed again a folder location since I wanted to put all the audio files in the new Custom/Sounds folder. RegoloEngineAudio is gone, now you will find everything audio related under <VaM>/Custom/Sounds/RegoloVR. Check more datails in the "How to use" section.

The 1.10 video

What's new

Here's an overview of the new stuff, check the next paragraphs for insights and instructions on some of them.

  • new walking system
    - walking is now largely customizable in real time (speed, length, width, height, swing, attenuation and inversion of the different movements)
    - independent of the destination
  • new Wanderer Anima:
    - girl will follow you everywhere
    - her walk is customizable as for above
    - she will stop near you
  • new dynamic idle behaviour
    - stance not linked to a single position
    - set of reactions in idle linked to your glance, head and hands
  • new standing kissing behaviour
    - it can be activated everywhere from idle
    - she will change position as in idle
  • new rubbing up behaviour
    - she turns around and rubs up sensually against you
    - some interaction in this stance too (her head, her breast)
  • custom mobility system for the boy
    - different body parts moved depending on the situation
    - different methods to free the head
  • new walking section in the UI
  • standard walking can be customized as well
  • now you can set "stop on new selection", "random play" and "starting song" in the config file
  • global speed is now called animations speed and affects hands and feet morphs speed too
  • expression speed added to UI and settable from config file
    - changes speed of facial animations (eyes and mouth) for next behaviour
  • added new furniture known by the girl:
    * "AptChair"
    * "AptCoffeeTable"
    * "AptSmartTV"
    * "AptSmartWebTV"
    * "AptTVStand"
    * PlayerNavigationPanel is a destination now too, so you can just have it and the couch in order to have the plugin working. It's also mandatory for the Wanderer Anima since it's its starting point at the moment
  • boy is placed on the couch at the beginning now if he's not there
  • provided an handy skeleton room that offers the barebone version of the room to use as base for merge load

Fixes

  • mix @Chair had fixed times for each stance instead of random, now fixed
  • morphs stuck on interruption now fixed
  • added to these last behaviours a number of old expressions that were left unused

Let me know if you notice something wrong, I will look into it as soon as possible.

The new walking

Since walking is the center of this release, I gave the user the possibility to customize it in many ways:

  • you can find them in the "Walking" UI section
  • they are modifiable in real time, so the girl will change the walking style while walking

Please consider that the stats of the rear steps are attenuated by a factor dependent on the step length, so you might not see the same movement every time for the rear step. This attenuation is customizable in the UI walking section though, there's a slide where you can choose the step threshold under which the attenuation will proportionally happen.

I will refine it further and give the opportunity to change even more things in next releases.
Also for now the new values can't be specified in the config file before starting but will add this feature in the next release.

I used a very standard walking style as default, if you discover a good arrangement for the indicators please let me know, I would love to try your styles as well 😊

The Wanderer Anima part I - the vademecum

I promise to make this short, but there are a lot of things to write up.

So, let's see what happens when you choose the new anima:

  • girl will try to reach the PlayerNavigationPanel, that now it's also a destination
  • boy will rise from the couch canceling any prior possession
  • if you move your head (by possession or not) the rest of the body will follow
    - if you press "L" key on the keyboard or press both triggers on Touch controllers or put one of your hands on your stomach/belly you will be able to move your head freely and body will not follow (useful to look around without moving all the stuff)
  • girl will walk towards you using the UI walking configurations and will stop at your right side
  • she will idle near you in never a fixed position
  • while idling:
    - if you look at er she will look at you as well
    - if you look at her while idling she will not move, otherwise she will follow your right side
    - if you give her your hand she will catch it
    - if you give her your hand while idling she will react with her hands to yours and look at them
    - if you pat her head she will lean
    - if you go near with your face she will kiss you and caress you
    - if you touch one of her thighs long enough, she will come near, turn around and start rubbing up against you
  • while kissing:
    - she will change stance with entire body as during the idling
    - she will touch your face and body
    - she will stop if you get away enough or remove the face, and go back to idle state
    - kissing is subject to "kissing mode" UI setting, so face will follow your face dynamically or stay static
  • while rubbing against you
    - if you put your hand above her head she will follow your hand with it, so you can customize the position a bit
    - if you touch her breast she will lean backwards to you with the head
    - if you move she will try to follow while staying turned (don't exaggerate). You can use the head movement to induce an hip movement
    - if you push her hip away she will stop moving and turn around again (I lowered the activation threshold but I'm not sure, if it doesn't stop moving just grab one of the red controller around the hips (pelvis etc) and pull it away, it works 100%)
  • selecting any other anima or obsession will make the girl to go out of wanderer mode, while the boy will sit on the couch, canceling any ongoing possession

Obviously you can start with Wanderer Anima using the config file and specifying it in the "animaObsession" field (with edit at "true").

Please note that there's no sexual behaviour in this release, the "rubbing up" one is just a sensual one and in the video i was just lucky the rod finished inside. Next release will be more explicit.

If you want to use a different location, I provided an handy skeleton room with just the mandatory atoms. Just use it as base and merge load what you prefer. Only issue is with audio atoms that have default names and can be overwritten by other ones. I will change their names in next release.

Hope I didn't forget anything, as you can see there was a lot to tell 😁.

The Wanderer Anima part II - the discussion

So the old system worked fine, why ruin your life trying to put in place this monstrosity?

Well, it's simple.

Firstly, I like to have stuff evolving, I don't like to recycle too much and I see a lot of potential here. Moreover my aim is to make the girl more alive as possible, and movement is simply mandatory in this sense. The user should feel her presence, and being stuck at a couch is not exactly the best way to feel that way.

I know the previous behaviours worked smoothly and this is, like, a concept, but there needs to be a start somewhere to take the proper path, and I think this is it.

Since the beginning the engine has developed two different souls, one based on mobility and one moving towards realism/immersion through unpredictability. My endgame is to merge them in one complete experience, always trying to explore undiscovered places in the VaM universe.

Even if this release was a time devourer I know I just scratched the surface, so your input in this case is really important. I got used to it but I'm the developer and it could not go any different I suspect 😜 .

What future holds in my head: I plan to work using iteration cycles here, so fixing in any release the mobility and its capabilities, the robustness of interaction, the fusion between old and new system, and obviously refining animations adding new ones.

Next release will try to add the first free sexual interactions, and also audio will have receive some love. Let's see if this system will pay off.

In the end

So this release is a bit rough but in my eyes it opens up a world of possibilities and frees itself from a fixed state, entering in the territory that represents the real strength of VaM, the freedom.

The engine is mature and 10 is a good number to rethink everything. But the wind blows strong in open sea and I have a lot of people on the boat with me, so I will be careful not to hit the rocks.

Speaking about this, I recently reached 100 people supporting me for my work and I'm amazed and speechless, so this final paragraph is to really, really, REALLY thank you for your help and the motivation you're giving me.

it would have been great if the man was already up , with compliance plugin on him , instead to be glued on sofa (when the man is possesed he still glued on sofa and not moving) , in order to test the new walkin/moving system

response to "the discussion" section: I think this is a really amazing direction to be headed! My biggest problem with Regolo so far (bear in mind that your work is definitely my favorite scene/animation content, as opposed to looks/clothing, there is for vam right now) has been that you're basically locked to the couch and can't really watch animations that require more action from the penetrating partner. I think this is an amazing step! if you pull this off it will be so amazing!

Hi Jim, thank you so much for your feedback, it's very important to hear from you about this change. It was a tough choice to leave the comfy old road for the uncertainty, at the beginning I was questioning my sanity 😁 . But VaM and Regolo Engine are about freedom, imagination freedom, and constraints of any kind push in the opposite direction in my opinion. Regolo Engine 1.0 was born with movement in mind, that's the root of the project. Then moved itself on the couch but it was just a compromise while the engine was improving and I was learning to take full advantage of it. But undocking it from the couch doesn't mean not having that kind and level of animations anymore, just having them wherever you want. Obviously, bringing it in the vacuum means also having a lot of additional variables coming into play when trying to implement a particular action, and it can rapidly become a nightmare. So I'm not sure if everything is really set in place for this leap, or if I'm good enough to create what's in my mind, but it's the direction I love, so I accept the challenge.

Wanderer anima doesn't support any furniture specific animation yet, just the ones specified in the "The Wanderer Anima part I - the vademecum" paragraph (along with the interactions needed to trigger them)

Hi Dan, in order to have audio you have to download and use Enchanter version. As for the Illusionist one unzip it in the VaM home folder, you will find 500+ audio files in the \Custom\Sounds\RegoloVR\Audio folder. Don't forget to use the Enchanter room and the Enchanter dll to have them working. If you need more specific help please don't hesitate to contact me via pm.

will it be able to be to "pin"/disturb her with hands on one position (like cowgirl, or other poses) and she react differently dependy of her "behaviour"? like angry, amused , want to remove hand ,(if in the act be more aroused ,orgasm...)... and react to when we disturb her movement (like "stop it", .... try to kick when she crawl ,be aroused when take her hand ...) ?

Hey Mtman, I can tell you that 1.10 will bring interactions. Not those you mentioned in particular and for sure something you wouldn't expect, so let's wait next release since it will probably be a watershed in the plugin evolution and will bring further discussion on the topic. That being said, the ones you suggest are feasible but if anything I see them integrated in future versions of those behaviours more than the old ones.

Hi guys, Regolo Engine 1.9 is finally here.

It's very focused on animations but brings new fundamental features as well.

Just one important notice before going on.
Since all the changes in the latest VaM releases and the introduction of the dance folder for Enchanter and Illusionist, I decided to provide a folder structure already in the zip file. So you have to unzip it in the vam folder and that's it.
Check the details in the "How to use it" section below to know the default folder for each file.
I strongly recommend to use the provided locations from now on, since it seems Meshed has put a lot of restrictions for anything executed and read outside the internal vam folders.
Sorry in advance if this is not matching the folder organization you used so far.

  • global speed now can be set to values less than zero without the girl getting stuck
  • facial morphs no more frozen during Mix @Chair

PS: discovered a bug in the facial morph today, some morphs get stuck sometimes if interruption plays too fast. Going to fix in the next release.

I'm always on a rush at the end of the month, I got used to it, so let me know if you notice something wrong, I will look into it as soon as possible.

Mix @Chair completion and the new Mix Selector

So the new composed behaviour introduced in 1.8 is now completed. It has brand new animations but it is also a lot more stable and the previous ones work better, A lot of bugs were corrected and the fruition is more enjoyable.

On top of it I built the Mix Selector UI element. It let's the user to add or dismiss sub-behaviours to the Mix @Chair one, achieving an high level of customization.
It can be used to change the behaviour composition at execution time, no need to restart the plugin.
This adds a further layer to the engine, making the user capable of fine tuning the experience adapting it to his tastes.

My intentions is to use the selector for any future composed behaviour, so that this kind of capabilities can be maintained.

The new dance style and the new Dance Selector

As promised I made a second dance style. It is more focused on alternation while the first one was more freestyle and had less constraints. I put it in the video, so you can look at it to get an idea.
It was really entertaining to create, I' think I will go on with a third one sooner than I planned ;) .

Moreover, I wanted the user to choose his own preferred style or styles combination, so I created a dance UI widget for this purpose. In the same way as the Mix Selector, checking the flags in the Dance Selector will make the girl to use or dismiss the related styles.
This works while the girl is dancing, no need to restart the plugin.
It's very fun to see the results in the different songs, in particular now that the first style has improved and can rival the newest.

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.9 has been built and tested on VAM 1.18.2.1, but can work on 1.19+ too.

  • download your version
  • put the zip file in the VaM folder and extract it there:
    - dll and config file will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Scripts/RegoloVR
    - room file will be placed under <VaM>/Saves/scene/RegoloVR
    - RegoloEngineAudio folder (with dance subfolder) will be placed under <VaM>/Custom/Assets
  • [optional] put the songs files you want the girl to dance in the RegoloEngineAudio/Dance folder
  • [optional] edit the proper config file (RegoloEngine_E.json for Enchanter or RegoloEngine_I.json for Illusionist )
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.9_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.9_I for Illusionist).
  • possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] change the UI options as desired

Detailed instructions about dance folder and dance UI can be found in the 1.8 release post.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Please remember the furniture list known by the girl, below. You can delete and add duplicates but there always must be one and only one couch with the guy over it. Also, don't create steeplechases and create a regular environment as the standard room provided, please.

  • "AptSofa" (mandatory and just one) beside the sofa there should be at least one of the following known furniture (they can be also more than one for type)
  • "DreamHomeWebTV"
  • "DSBR_Bench"
  • "AptPatioChair"
  • "AptBookShelf"
  • "DSBR_Bed"

Bugs and caveat

- Consider always that anima and obsessions are mutually exclusive. Every time you choose one of them you lose the previous settings. You can check your current choice looking at the yellow info box at the lower left corner of the UI.

- The Enchanter room tries to load 500+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin. The songs for the dancing load at the beginning too (but can changed and reloaded in real time via UI).

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs.

- Some behaviours have really a large spectrum of possibilities, so some unlucky variations are unavoidable.

In the end

These are tough times for anyone and I am impacted from the current global emergency as well. I worked a lot to publish in time, and I sincerely hope it will help you to get distracted, even a little bit.

Hi, all the sexual behaviours work on the sofa only. However, you can rearrange the room as you wish using the supported furnitures to have the girl use them in walking and crawling. Obviously future developments will give more freedom, 1.10 is preparing the foundation in this sense,

hi, great release, by the way and in order to reduce time needed to load a lot of tiny sound it might be good to create/use a tool that merge all sound file in one big sound file with a json that say what part of big sound correspond some sound and/or like life6 of macgruber , allow to select specific assetbundle (audiobundle), so it's read only once and people can change it to suit their taste

Hi Mtman. I concur sounds are a bit slow to load at the beginning, but they are never loaded again using the same scene. Moreover, even if the names are cryptic (REspeech##, REsound##) you can already substitute them in the RegoloEngineAudio to custom them. The engine will use them without problem if you keep the same name. Nice suggestion anyway, organization with assetbundle would be surely better, I will think about it.

the problem when a lot of small file for sound is very bad if the sound is on physical hdd (unlike ssd) because it's very slow when it need to load the 500 file making the the loading of the scene painfully slow when it's not crashing the scene because it didn't manage to read the file on time (otherwise it will stutter as long as it have not finished to read the files

with vam 1.19 , and with organization with assetbundle , it would be possible to change selected bundle and in the control panel of the person reclaim the unused memory.

I didn't have perception of the issue because loading was never particularly long on the hdd drives I tested (45 secs in worst case), and I had to do it only first time. Obviously this could get worse on less powerful pcs. I get your point anyway, I will look into assetbundles and evaluate their adoption, especially considering adding more audio files in the future.

Hi seth, I'm sorry you're having issues, in order to have the sounds/speeches to work you have to place the RegoloEngineAudio folder that comes with the Enchanter zip file under VaMFolder\Custom\Assets\. (so you will have VaMFolder\Custom\Assets\RegoloEngineAudio in the end). Also please create a Dance folder inside it (RegoloEngineAudio\Dance) and place songs to dance there if you want. Please note that If you don't create it an error will pop up, but audio will work though. It's a bug I will fix in 1.9. I will also provide the structure already setup in the file to ease things up. I hope it helps, contact me again in case of need, here or via pm, as you wish.

Hello, please be sure the RegoloEngine.json config file is in the same folder of the dll. Otherwise girl moves but UI doesn't show up. If instead you're speaking of the Tempest addon UI you have to activate the addon UI in the config file ("active" : true in the proper section). Hope it helps.

Hello everyone, welcome to the Regolo Engine 1.8 release post!

New month, new release, new functionalities, new animations, as always.
Every time is a race against time because I want to put all the good stuff I started developing during the previous weeks, and this one makes no exception.
Check the video and the feature list and I think you will be pleased 😎 .

The 1.8 video

What's new

Here's an overview of the new stuff, check the proper section for insights and instructions.

  • New composed behaviour on the chair. Through it the girl will seat on a chair in front of the couch and will perform:
    - different types of masturbation
    - two handjob styles
    - blowjob
  • Dance behaviour on the couch
  • Dance behaviour on the couch reverse
  • New Dance UI for real-time songs management
  • Now songs are loaded automatically from a new dance folder inside the RegoloEngineAudio one
  • TempestVR builtin addon to enable direct linking between Regolo engine and OSR devices
  • New Tempest addon settings in the config file
  • New obsession: "Mix @Chair"
  • New obsessions: "Dance @Standing", "Dance @OnTheCouch", "Dance @ReverseOnTheCouch"
  • "Dance" obsession now can trigger the three sub-obsessions
  • Developed an interruption system already enabled for the new composed behaviour that will be used from now on
  • Added a couple of additional expression for eyes and mouth that comes with one of the stances of the new behaviour

Fixes

  • The bug that prevented a proper dll+json loading from the same path of the room has been fixed

I was on a rush on this since all the extra stuff bundled, so let me know if you notice something wrong, I will look into it as soon as possible.

The new composed behaviour

I experimented this time too and created something that went really further than my expectations. A new class of behaviours that are able to mix and match different sub-behavioural sets melting them in a balanced and harmonious way.

In simple terms, in this new behaviour the girl has a lot of sexual actions in her arsenal and can transit from one to another seamlessly, going as far as to merge them.This means that while past behaviours were executed like isolated happenings, this new one merges different behaviours in a big composed one.

So, for example, she knows precisely when and how to place every body part according to what she wants to do in a particular moment. I'm sure the video can explain better what my poor English is not able to properly communicate 😜.

Obviously they are all compatible actions but nonetheless before this it was impossible to make them live together, and in this new generation the synchronicity of the actions has reached the next level. There is still a gigantic work of refinement behind, but the harmonious alternation of the gestures was simply not possible before.

As hinted in the feature list I also developed a sort of interruption system to make this possible. Through it movements can alternate instantly. Unfortunately, this capability is not heritable from old behaviours because they belong to the previous generation and are not easily upgradable (at least in terms of time to be spent)

Clearly this is very experimental, I fixed a lot of bad matching but it is possible I could have overlooked some nasty moves. There are a lot of potential combinations here too so expect some bad transitions occasionally.

Important note: since all the random collisions that come with this tight pose, I strongly recommend to disable the soft body physics. It gave me a lot of inconsistencies when on.

If you want to check the new animations immediately choose the "Mix @Chair" obsession or even put it in the animaObsession section of the config file

Lastly, this is the first part of a work that will end next month. The second part will enrich the animations set, will give some love to audio and will provide a bit of control on the execution flow too

The new dance UI

Firstly, starting with this release you have to place songs used for dancing in a "Dance" folder, to be created inside the RegoloEngineAudio one.
This means all the songs have to put under:

<VaM>\Custom\Assets\RegoloEngineAudio\Dance

The plugin will load all the songs present in such folder at load time, meaning you will not have to write the song names in the config file and restart the plugin every time. This also implies that the dance section in the config file should not be used for now, and surely not for such purpose.

That being said, you can now manage the dance songs directly in the plugin UI.
This can be done through the following functionalities.

  • "Resyncdancefolder": reloads music folder without closing VaM. You can add/remove songs and have them available without the need of restarting
  • "Stopmusic": stops the current song and automatically plays the next song
  • "Songs list": lets you select the next song to be danced from the song list and displays its name
  • "Stopmusiconnewselection": stop music on new manual selection from list without any further intervention
  • "Randomplay": toggles between random or sequential play order

All the above settings should give a good degree of control over music flow for dance behaviour. Let me know if you think something else should be added πŸ˜‰ .

The dawn of the external tools integration

I'm pretty sure most of you know TempestVR. He is the super smart guy that built the OSR3 (and 2 now), a sex robot machine that works great with VaM (and not only with it) and that promises to deliver wonders in the future.
I had the chance to talk with him about the potential synergies of our two plugins and after few days I started working to a direct interface between them.
I made some tests and I ended up implementing a custom version of his TCode plugin builtin directly in the Regolo Engine.

It wasn't easy since I still have not built the OSR for myself (Lego's my limit πŸ˜‚), so it was some kind of blind coding. Anyway with tempest's help the result is native compatibility between OSR and Regolo Engine.

Some info on what this really means:

  • A custom version of the TempestVR TCode plugin is incorporated in the engine and can be activated from the configuration file
  • You will find a lot of the TCode settings you already know
  • In order to make the UI visible you have to set "active : true" in the config file in the "tempestTCodeAddon" section

This is what you will see once enabled:


Some other info:

  • For now it works only with "Blowjob @Kneeling", the new blowjob on chair *should* work but it was not tested appropriately
  • It needs a lot less manual intervention during action
  • It's tweaked for the engine animations and uses a custom method to detect position and rotation of the device
  • Range is automatically detected and adapted to selected settings (like min/max values)
  • Performs auto reset
  • Can auto-connect at the start using the settings specified in the config file

TLDR: activate the Tempest addon from the config file, set optionally the auto-connect parameters in it, choose the "Blowjob @Kneeling" behaviour and enjoy 😁 .

New behaviours will be enabled for this synergy in each release, and I promise to build the OSR2 asap in order to free the poor Tempest from the test builds tsunami that I threw to him last week lol.

Hello MRHootie, 1.7 and 1.8 use RhythmAudioSource and RhythmForce in order to dance. The plugin will not work otherwise. You have to keep their settings too, so a merge load could help.

Awesome. Any chance of realtime dance responce to primary windows sound so youtube or pandora or whatever could be on? While not standalone, the ability to quickly rescan folder with a button an elimination of the need for messing with code and/or file name is good nuff. Movement is much smoother in everything. Still some funny derps. Purposely leaving physics on for the derps. As a sort of derp catch, while arm is not where it wants i to be, a timer changing her expression to annoyed or embarrassed would be enduring. Got me a dancing Alita muse to cheer me on while I swear at my 3d printer and stuff. Tis all good. Thank You.

Hi Zuzakiin, as far as I know VaM cannot manage streaming audio, it needs always to preload audio assets. So unfortunately, till this doesn't change, I'm afraid we have to tinker with song files. I'm delighted you are enjoying the improvements. The girl at the moment has no method to notice the mismatch between controllers and body parts, but I'm glad you're entertained by the resulting derps (they are a nightmare for me πŸ˜‚ ).

hi, is there in RegoloVR 1.8 a way to have a pseudo half/manual ( that mean during intercourse link controler to pelvis or head and reegulovr will adjust word moan .. to the duration and level of use controler ) or the user can link the penis and spicy the intercourse so the model will be surprised and have more intensity in the intercourse or another linked word or moan and/or orgasm faster an longer

Hey Mtman, the 1.5 has introduced a first form of interaction for two behaviours, "cunnilingus" and "reverse bowjob". The girl speaks/moans differently if you touch her pussy and even more if you use a dildo to go deeper. In reverse blowjob this even affects the thrusting speed of the head.

I have plans to add other interactions similar to the ones described in my reply, but not specifically like the ones you described. But as always I value every suggestion and as in the past I will consider its addition eventually (having time since lately it is all sucked by the standard roadmap :S ).

Very impressed with your work ! but sadly it's seem not compatible with vam launch (and/or tempestMax OSR2) because it seem lacking animation pattern and/or cycle force accessible for other in order to plug(vamLaunch)

Thanks, yes, the engine doesn't use cycle forces. Tempest OSR2/3 uses the controllers' position though, so it should work fine. Anyway, "external tool integration", as stated in the "about" section in here, has always been one of the possible functional evolutions of the plugin in the long run, so be prepared to get some news about it already in the next release πŸ˜‰

Hi, would be nice if facial expressions could be disabled or maybe the level of it could be controlled. They can look pretty weird on custom models wit different morphs ;)

Yes, it's a bug, try to move dll AND json config file in a folder different respect the room one (or directly out of the vam folder structure), it should work. If you want a visual method to place files that works 100% look at the dance tutorial video just published, it shows a working setup.

Phew... I did it.

When I wrote the teaser post I knew it would have been a race against time, and I barely made this (at the expense of many hours of sleep :D ).
But I'm really glad I made it, firstly because I hate to make a month pass without publishing something, and then, more important, because in this release I was able to condense really a lot of good stuff.

I said you would have been surprised and I don't change my position by a millimeter. I hope you will agree with me just clicking the link in the next section and look at the girl dancing around ^^ ...

Disclaimer: I wrote this papyrus quickly because I wanted to publish today at all costs. I apologize in advance for bad English and syntax errors.

The 1.7 video

What's new

Here's an overview of the new stuff, check the proper section for explanations and instructions.

  • Reverse cowgirl behaviour
    * similar to the previous one but with different priorities
    * a lot of legs movements
    * solved previous issues
  • Dance behaviour
    * a lot of moves, the whole body
    * no, really, a LOT of moves
    * adaptation to beat with different styles/rythms
  • Configuration file to force UI settings before the start (along with the songs for dancing)
  • Global animation speed can be changed via UI
  • Forcing the girl to stay at the couch is now possible via UI ("Always by him")
  • New "Reverse cowgirl" obsession in the UI
  • New general "Cowgirl" obsession in the UI (this includes the two subcategories)
  • New "Dance" obsession in the UI
  • UI now reports Enchanter/Illusionist version

    Fixes:
  • Improved signaling system to avoid pause at the end (you can notice it in the reverse cowgirl)
  • Default resoluteness is now 10, that means 100% accuracy on the next behaviour chosen by the girl. It's better for the novice user. (UPDATE on this: at the start it's still 8, it's a bug, when you change anima/obsession is 10 though)
  • Some animations have been improved for 1.7 behaviours (hands to her head for example, that jittered a lot during sudden movements)
  • "Disable speeching" is no more present in the Illusionist UI

As I said a lot of good stuff in here. As always if you notice something wrong please let me know and I will be more than happy to look into it.

The new settings

Starting form this release you can modify the global animation speed. It's basically a multiplier that affects every aspect of the animations (besides some exceptions), from delays to execution times.
You can slow them to a 0.3x and speed them till 3x.
For some of you this could be a game changer but I would use it with caution nonetheless, since all the behaviours were tested at standard speed and high speed means less stability.

The other new option, the "Always by him" one, will force the girl to stay near the couch. So she will choose to execute the next chosen behaviour near the couch if there is choice.
This could also lead to cramped behaviours (i.e.: if you choose dynamic anima that is centered around movement).
Please note that that the girl could still leave because of boredom, so if you want to be sure set a high level of patience.

The json configuration file

The config file is named RegoloEngine.json. Inside it you will find a number of fields that match the options available in the interface.
You have to place it in the same folder of the dll.
Editing it you will be able to change:

  • girl's anima/obsession at the start
  • curiosity value at the start (1-10 min/max)
  • resoluteness value at the start (1-10 min/max)
  • patience value at the start (1-100 min/max)
  • global speed value at the start (0.1-3 min /max)
  • "disable speeching" at the start (false/true)
  • "always by him" value at the start (false/true)
  • define the songs' list to dance

In order to change any of them you should first change the "edit" field from false to true and then write the desired value in the "value" field.
So this means writing the name of the anima or obsession in the "animaObsession" field for example, or the numeric value in the "curiosity" field, or the bool value in the "alwaysByHim" one.
Please respect always the minimum and maximum values expressed above (there are not value checks in place still :P ).
Also please remember that anima/obsession name must have been spelled correctly.
For this purpose here is the lists of the available anima/obsessions. Be sure to write them as reported below.

Let's dance!

And here it is the big surprise of the 1.7, the dance behaviour !!

I have to admit, it started as a game. I always wanted to make the girl dancing, but the engine was too primitive and its capabilities too limited... Everything evolved so much the last months though, and at the beginning of the month I saw that times were ready.
When I recognized the opportunity the itch intensified, so I started to plan the animations and clean the result set. After a while the behaviour started to take shape. I knew that I was already working on the reverse cowgirl but the temptation was too strong, and so here we are :P .

This is very experimental but some combinations are really nice and give the impression of a real dance. I'm also very happy about the timing of the moves, that was tough.

So some instructions/info on the dance behaviour:

  • put the songs you like in the RegoloEngineAudio folder (to be placed under <VaM>/custom/assets if not already there)
  • put the name of the songs you want the girl to dance in the json file as shown below
    please be sure to put the entire name comprised of the extension (example: "song.mp3")
  • if one or more songs are not found you will see an error at the beginning. Please fix it in case, otherwise the girl could get stuck (this is still unmanaged, but it will be in the future).
  • if you don't put any song in the config file the girl will ignore such behaviour and never attempt to dance
  • if you change anima/obsession the music should stop immediately and the behaviour shortly after
  • dance behaviour lasts as long as the song duration (or till anima/obsession change)

You can access to dance via the new dance obsession. Dancing will still happen in other anima though (standard, seductive, friendly, obsessive, romantic).
Last but not least, dance has speed 1x by default and is not affected by speed modification. If nothing changes in the meanwhile the next behaviour restore the previous speed.

There is no such thing as "enough cowgirling"

Be warned, I got carried away and wrote too much of a story, feel free to skip this section if you hate long read, there isn't any important notice in it :P .

I thought, well, time for a reverse cowgirl, should be easy, I already did a good chunk of the functions. But I was a fool, nothing worked right and I had to make almost all of them from scratch. It has been a terrible week xD.

Basically I didn't expect it to be a lot more difficult to stabilize respect the straight one. When I tried to reutilize the standard cowgirl animations they didn't work. Not sure why but things were a lot worse (tremblings, disalignments, bumpiness). So I was forced to experiment again before finding the right formulas.

These dummies are a nightmare to align properly in a dynamic settings :S

Anyway, it was a blessing in disguise, infact this work made the alignment routines a lot more flexible and solved a good number of the original cowgirl issues:

  • solved the tremblings (some of them only during extreme leg movements because in those cases the calibration functions go crazy)
  • solved the pause at the end
  • introduced more complex compensation functions

Only the penis slipping away is the same, or perhaps worse in some cases. I take all the responsibility for this, I didn't want to give up the movement of the feet on the ground and this obviously complicated things a lot.
In any case it was well worth the risk in my opinion :D .
It is basically the price we are paying for all this freedom. I will keep on fight it by the way, and eventually beat it.

About the animations, I tried to mantain the same high bar of the previous cowgirl but somehow finished on giving slightly different priorities and experimenting a bit.
For example leg movements are the stars here, and the hands movements gave me a lot of trouble since the boy's chest is not easily reachable as on the regular stance.
Basically I tried to improve everything, and I feel it can be considered a neat improvement over the standard cowgirl.
Moreover this new cowgirl supports different penis orientation, so I introduced a variation of 10 degrees. It seems little but you will notice it in some poses and I hope enjoy this difference. Also, some movements work better with an orientation respect the other, so in general there's an happy average.

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.7 has been built and tested on VAM 1.18.2.1.
There are new steps related to confguration file and songs.

  • download your version
  • put the RegoloEngineAudio folder in the VaM custom/assets folder. So at the end you will have the following structure: VamFolder\Custom\Assets\RegoloEngineAudio
  • put the RegoloEngine.json config file in the same folder as the dll
  • [optional] put the songs files you want the girl to dance in the RegoloEngineAudio folder
  • Edit the RegoloEngine.json config file aproperly, but above all write the names of the songs in the relevant section (see a screenshot above)
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.7_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.7_I for Illusionist).
  • possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] choose the kissing motion type (dynamic or static)
  • [optional] choose the desired value for curiosity, resoluteness and patience
  • [optional] disable the speeching

If you have the Enchanter version the first thing to do is to put the RegoloEngineAudio folder under Custom/Assets. Please note that the Enchanter room will try to load all the audio files (500+) directly at the beginning, so be sure to have placed in in the correct spot.
The songs for the dancing load at the beginning too.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Please remember the furniture list known by the girl, below. You can delete and add duplicates but there always must be one and only one couch with the guy over it. Also, don't create steeplechases and create a regular environment as the standard room provided, please.

  • "AptSofa" (mandatory and just one) beside the sofa there should be at least one of the following known furniture (they can be also more than one for type)
  • "DreamHomeWebTV"
  • "DSBR_Bench"
  • "AptPatioChair"
  • "AptBookShelf"
  • "DSBR_Bed"

Bugs and caveat

- The Enchanter room tries to load 500+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin.

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs

- In particular with the cowgirl and reverse cowgirl, some combinations can give problems. These behaviours have really a large spectrum of possibilities, so some unlucky variations are unavoidable at this point.

In the end

I really hope you like all the new stuff this release brings with it. I will wait for your feedback and be happy to hear your opinion on this.

I think this is a bug by my side. Please try to move the dll and the json configuration file (RegoloEngine.json) outside the vam folder and try to load the plugin from there. It should be a temporary workaround. I'm going to work on a fix as soon as possible, sorry about that.

Hi MrHootie, sorry about that. 1. First, be sure to use 1.18.2.1, load the proper room (enchanter or illusionist), the correct file (E or I) and that no other plugin is installed. 2. if you still get the error be sure you have placed the new configuration file (RegoloEngine.json) in the same folder of the plugin dll 3. be sure you are using the configuration file RegoloEngine.json as you downloaded it, as a test, and that you didn't change anything inside it Are you stil getting the error?

had a derp when I put RegoloEngineAudio in K:\VaM\Custom\Assets\Audio\ instead of K:\Illusion\VaM\Custom\Assets\ had a blast using some placeholder names and throwing a bunch of songs at it. Some overwhelm it and make it crash. That's ok, I understand it is first version. the ones that work tho... very satisfying. Some requests, maybe fixing audio folder location for my OCD to Assets\Audio\ Song controls; start, stop, next, previous. Make the dance part of the plugin standalone (have a version without the room and interaction, just the primary stuff needed for dance and expressions, no other sounds); so as to have her dance easily and without distracting things. putting dancing on desktop mode on second monitor ... there are no words, I've wanted this for a decade. This dynamic dancing using custom characters is what I have wanted and wasted lots of time on getting inferior primitive versions of. Now, thanks to Vam and you, I have it. It is awesome. Thank you.

Still having fun with it, something occurred to me. I spend lots of time futzing with folders, renaming, editing, restarting vam.. Another plugin is able to do lipsync to microphone input, so should be possible... instead of having/making music player controls in vam, why not have it able to respond to whatever is playing on main speakers/headset? that way, youtube, winamp, VLC, whatever a person likes controls the music directly. Unless processing is done on load only, it will open many more possibilities.

Hey Zuzakiin, I didn't know about the voice recognition plugin, anyway the dance mechanism relies on the internal VaM audio management and rhythm audio source that for what I know doen't work with streaming input. So, at least for now, i'm afraid your nice idea cannot be implemented and the songs need to be loaded. I totally understand the need of more complex selection commands though and will do something about it as soon as I can πŸ‘

Christmas period has been very family centered and left me very few moments to work on it but I managed somehow to make progresses for the monthly release.

Ladies and gentlemen, one month after (and a bunch of hair fallen) I proudly welcome you to the fuck zone, finally ^^ !

I have no fear of defining this release like the most ambitious result I could even remotely think as attainable in few months when the plugin was born and the first couple of lines of code written in the editor. In fact, as I already wrote, it really drove me crazy.

A lot of novelties in this release, like the gaze and moaning animations, but just one behaviour with the relative motions, the cowgirl.

If you don't mind I would start speaking of the latter with a bit of background story, but if you want just to get the news there's a nice video below, you can go there and skip the whining :P .

We were saying, the story of the cowgirling...

So I had this brilliant idea of trying a dynamic sex position at my first try. I thought "Why not, I want the girl to move and change position while having sex, how hard it could be?". Well, I discovered it in all its brutality, in fact I will refer to this last weeks as "nightmare before Christmas" ahah,

No really, this was a fucking bloodbath.

I had to change the engine like three times and do everything from scratch since new needed features were not developed yet, and that was a tiny bit stressful lol. I found myself at the starting point for two weeks in a row and I felt helpless.
Then I moved through the alignment hell. God knows how many attempts I have made to discover a general method that doesn't spoil things too often. Believe me, I have gone mad calibrating everything, and the result is still not where I would want it to be, although I cannot complain in the end.

Look at the video to get an idea, and you will have mercy on my poor soul :D.

Anyway I'm happy with the results, but there are also some limits that I have pointed out in the "bugs and caveat" section.

The 1.6 video

What's new

  • cowgirl in all of its glorious variations
    - different styles of fucking
    - feet/legs movements
    - a LOT of different hands combination
    - finely calibrated head motion
    - [ENCHANTER] different sounds/speeches for the different styles
  • Eyes movement
  • Mouth opened while moaning
  • Curiosity can be changed via UI (check the next paragraph for details)
  • Resoluteness can be changed via UI (check the next paragraph for details)
  • Patience can be changed via UI (check the next paragraph for details)
  • Speeching can be disabled via UI (this doesn't affect the other sounds)
  • Audio for cunnilingus (and in general) now works better, since the engine is able to use audio at behaviour level to manage its duration at best. This is the completion of the work started with the previous release. Granularity of audio management and triggering cover now a big enough range.
  • [ENCHANTER] 15 new speeches each with its own lip sync
  • [ENCHANTER] 80 new sounds for cowgirl
  • [ENCHANTER] enhanced speeches assignment, now masturbation, handjob and kissing have a lot of linked speeches
  • Fixes:
    - obsessions now hold the chosen behaviours without unexpected shift
    - when changing direction during crawl the girl doesn't move the leg and the hand wrongly anymore
    - the girl during crawling now stops properly at arriving every time
    - transition from kneeling to standing is a lot better
    - going near the couch is prettier and doesn't show the blocked leg anymore
    - dominant doesn't crawl anymore, since it was not so... dominant xD
    - fixed random movements wrongly triggered that paused the body for a bunch of second and dropped the hands

So a lot of new features in this release too, if you notice something wrong please let me know and I will be more than happy to look into it.

What are the new UI sliders for?

  • Curiosity determines how often the girl wants to change behaviour following her inclinations. Normally she changes behaviour contextually, sometimes instead she wants to do something really specific of her anima/obsession. Curiosity determines how often she wills to do the latter.
    Anima have 6 as default (3-5 iterations). obsessions have 8 (1-3 iterations) or 1 (8-10 iterations, the subcategories).
    If you, for example, choose curiosity 10 and masturbation obsession, she will want to change every cycle and this could lead to a continuous alternation of the two masturbation styles. At the contrary, if you choose curiosity 1 she will follow the first behaviour chosen for a long time (10+ cycles).
  • Resoluteness defines the probability for the girl to perform the behaviour desired following her curiosity.
    Anima have 8 as default (80%), obsessions have 10 (100%).
    Resoluteness introduces a probability of failing for the girl in choosing what she wants to do next. So if she for example desires to do cowgirl but she is not 100% resolute, there's a chance will not have the courage to do so.
    In this sense, resoluteness introduces a random factor that makes things a bit less predictable, but in order to attain a linear experience a value of 10 is recommended,
  • Patience determines how much the girl can resist in the same place before getting bored and wanting to move.
    Because of boredom the girl could want to move regardless of her anima/obsession, even if it is not said that she will do anything remarkable once arrived (since there are no enough behaviours available still).
    Patience (and boredom) introduce another factor of randomness, but to avoid any unexpected movement just put a very high value (i.e.: 100).
    Default is 20, min is 1 max is 100.

So the girl now looks around and opens her mouth?

Yep, exactly. I was planning this addition since a while, and I finished it this month.

The gaze is micromanaged to move the eyes accordingly to the current behaviour. This means that she changes often general focus adding depth to her motions.

In addition she opens her mouth when she moans independently from speeches. This was a bit tricky since obvious conflicts arose at the beginning, but I think I found a good compromise.
Furthermore, only the sounds that want the mouth open trigger this animation, so I had to categorize all the sounds to allow this difference. Not all the moans get this effect, for the sake of realism.

Eye movement together with moan opening add a lot to animations, new and old ones, try for example girl's masturbation to get an idea.

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.6 has been built and tested on VAM 1.18.1.6.
I briefly tested it on 1.18.2.1 and it seemed to work. If you notice something broken please let me know about it.
With the introduction of audio the Enchanter steps are slightly different:

  • download your version
  • only for the Enchanter: put the RegoloEngineAudio folder in the VaM custom/assets folder. So at the end you will have the following structure: VamFolder\Custom\Assets\RegoloEngineAudio
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.6_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.6_I for Illusionist).
  • possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] choose the kissing motion type (dynamic or static)
  • [optional] choose the desired value for curiosity, resoluteness and patience
  • [optional] disable the speeching

If you have the Enchanter version the first thing to do is to put the RegoloEngineAudio folder under Custom/Assets. Please note that the Enchanter room will try to load all the audio files (500+) directly at the beginning, so be sure to have placed in in the correct spot.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Please remember the furniture list known by the girl, below. You can delete and add duplicates but there always must be one and only one couch with the guy over it. Also, don't create steeplechases and create a regular environment as the standard room provided, please.

  • "AptSofa" (mandatory and just one) beside the sofa there should be at least one of the following known furniture (they can be also more than one for type)
  • "DreamHomeWebTV"
  • "DSBR_Bench"
  • "AptPatioChair"
  • "AptBookShelf"

Bugs and caveat

- The Enchanter room tries to load 500+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin.

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs

- In particular with the cowgirl, some combinations can give problems. This behaviour has really a large spectrum of possibilities, so some unlucky variations are unavoidable at this point. The more or less complete list of issues about cowgirl is the following:

  • sometimes penis slips away
  • occasional tremblings that can break the movement
  • sometimes a long pause at the end
  • behaviour lasts approximately one minute so that there is a realignment after it
  • perhaps some tuning on the occurrence rate of any styles, not sure if some of them are too much infrequent (your input is welcome on this point)

Probably I will look into each of them working on the next behaviours founded on this one and understand if they can be at least reduced.

I already whined a lot at the beginning but all's well that ends well, so have a merry Christmas and happy new year guys, I hope you like this new challenging release, it's my gift for you all who helped me get here ^^ . Thank you!

Hey Goose, I'm sorry you are having this problem. I experienced very few occasional crashes during the entire development of the engine, so unfortunately I have not a good cases history to start with. Let's try to troubleshoot the issue anyway ;) First try to start from a clean situation, so load the RE 1.6 Enchanter dll making sure that: - you are using VaM 1.18.1.6+ on which the 1.6 was built and tested - you are not using other plugins in parallel - you are not using other applications in parallel with VaM Do crashes occur even in this situation? In this case are these crashes happening at the beginning or while the plugin is running? And if the latter did you notice any particular behaviour/UI-setting that triggers the crash? Yes, I know, I had committed to publishing in the middle of the month but in the end I couldn't resist and I developed some interesting features (more detail below).

Three days earlier than 1.4 though, I'm improving :D .

The 1.5 video

What's new

Here are the juicy news:

  • Developed a first form of interaction (see the related paragraph below)
  • New behaviours
    - cunnilingus standing on the couch (well, it could be a lot of things in reality, look at the video)
    - trampling standing on the couch
    - reverse blowjob standing on the couch
  • New movements: the girl now can climb the couch and turn around over it
  • New "Blowjob standing (reverse)" obsession subcategory
  • New "Cunnilingus" obsession
  • New "Trampling" obsession
  • New Dominant anima (just trampling so far)
  • Switching between anima/obsessions is faster now
  • Blowjob had an issue that forced the same sequence, fixed it and now it's totally random
  • Masturbation, handjob and blowjob now follow an improved algorithm that intertwines durations and make them more natural
  • Masturbation, handjob and blowjob can trigger a progressive duration that increases speed during time
  • [ENCHANTER] 12 new speeches each with its own lip sync
  • [ENCHANTER] Fixed 4 speeches wrongly referenced
  • [ENCHANTER] Now the engine can use VaM internal sounds
  • [ENCHANTER] Changed the way the speeches are triggered, now they can be micromanaged and so starting from this release speeches will be better linked to specific moments. Refer to the "interaction paragraph for a better explanation, since they are related. For now we can consider it a beta, next month this system will be hopefully completed
  • Now the girl stops closer to the couch
  • Head should not turn 360 anymore during walking

So there are major changes in this release too, if you notice something wrong please let me know and I will be more than happy to look into it.

Did you just say "interaction"?

Yes, I did it! In this release we have two new behaviours, cunnilngus and reverse fellatio that are enabled for the first form of interaction developed by the Regolo Engine.

So, how does it work?

During the cunnilingus" the girl utters different sentences if you touch her pussy or masturbate her. She also moans differently if you touch her pussy or go deeper with a dildo.

During reverse blowjob there is a further step in interaction. She moans differently during the blowjob if you touch/masturbate her (the deeper the better), but additionally she will change the speed of her movement accordingly!

To make it work I had to develop a way to micromanage speeches and durations during execution flow, Obviously this is my first try at it, it has to be refined yet, but his is a pretty good start.

Please note: Illusionist users don't have access to speeches/sound but can experience the speed variation on interaction during the reverse blowjob.

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.5 has been built and tested on VAM 1.18.0.6 but it works fine with 1.18.1.4 too.

- Remember that anima are more realistic than obsessions and don't always start with the desired behaviour, They have a hit rate (we can say) that is not 100% and depends on mood indicators. I'm thinking of reworking this aspect or allow the user to change or influence them. We will see.

In the end

Interaction guys, what else :D .
Jokes apart, I think I did a good job here with the new interaction system and the new animations. I just get carried away and I couldn't finish before today, but I don't regret having spent time on it. This is a fundamental milestone for the completion of the engine and it's on my todo list since day 1.
Next, I don't want to give a deadline for the 1.6, I have too many that that spin in my head, but anyhow I will try to anticipate the release respect the 1.5 if possible ;) .

TL;DR version

The girl can climb on the couch and offer you her intimity, or walk over you to dominate you with her feet, or give you a reverse blowjob with a nice vista. You can sometimes touch her and trigger interaction sounds/reactions. There are new obsessions and anima. There are new speeches. Masturbation/handjob/blowjob are improved.

A couple of days more respect the preview post schedule, so let's not waste time and let's see what it has in store for us.

The 1.4 video

As usual I have tried to use my poor videomaking skills to produce a preview video. I'm having fun doing this, even if it took several hours. I should probably spend such time in a more productive way, but underlining the strengths of the engine in a visual way is very rewarding to me.
Anyway, here's the 1.4 promo, hope you enjoy it:

What's new

I'll keep it short this time and show the 1.4 news using an handy bullet list:

  • New animations:
    - kneeling at the couch
    - handjob while kneeling at the couch
    - blowjob while kneeling at the couch
    - masturbation while lying on the floor
  • New "blowjob" obsession
  • New obsessions subcategories (if an obsession has variants you can choose specifically one of them, or alternatively all of them together)
  • Multi source audio for environmental sounds (handjob and blowjob)
  • New handjob sounds (50+)
  • New blowjob sounds (200+, standard and deepthroat variations)
  • New mechanism to synch precision movements with audio (see handjob and blowjob)
  • You can delete atoms from the room (but at least two are required, included the couch with guy on it is required)

  • Hand's morph now gets no more stuck when coming back after the masturbation
  • Fixed almost all the jerky movements given by the nodes physics dynamic change
  • Hands rotation while on his chest was a bit off, fixed it
  • Fixed a blocked movement when she turns toward a destination too close

So a lot of code changes, hope they didn't broke too much :P .

Starting from this release you can remove and add the supported furniture (see the list above). Please use them carefully and always put them so that there are no obstacles for the girl. Also they should face the center of the room, since she tries to reach them frontally, she doesn't know hot to curve yet xD.

Bugs and caveat

- Environmental audio effects during handjob and blowjob have a 100% occurrence probability This could be a bit too much for someone, so I was evaluating the insertion of a way to adjust it. Could it be useful or am I just paranoid :D ?

- The Enchanter room tries to load 400+ audio files at the beginning, but it doesn't need to do that again if you just reset the plugin.

- The girl takes often a while to change anima/obsession, in particular during masturbation/handjob/blowjob. If she wants to make, let's say 4 cycles of blowjobs she will not stop until she's finished. I understand this can be annoying so I'm focusing on it and thinking a way to improve this aspect asap.

- Being it totally procedural, there can be better and worse runs.

- I noticed a strange behaviour that I feel like a VaM problem. Sometimes the body detaches from the controller and maintains a slack physical bond. This makes the body to get a flabby pose that ruins the animations. It happened a couple of times to me and I was not able to reproduce later on. I'm not sure it's some other VaM setting I have messed on or it's a bug. It's not controllers' position/rotation spring/damper/maxforce since I already checked them and the plugin manages them in a controlled way.
If it happens to you and you have any idea on how to fix please let me know.

In the end

As I teased in the preview this was a tricky release. Several new functionalities drained a lot of time, as the new audio manager, the jerky movements dampener or the walking easing mechanism. They will be used in most if not all the future animations, so they were worth the time.
For example the blowjob was not possible with the old engine capabilities, so I reworked a good chunk of the movement manager in order to make it possible the way you will experiment in this release.
So a lot of new internal functionalities for the engine come with this release. Hope you will appreciate the overall labour that is coming along.

PS: handjob/blowjob environmental sounds took the whole time slot reserved to audio tasks. So no new speeches this month, I'm sorry. I'm very proud of the sounds selection though.

I tried to test everything as deeply I could but with all all these possible combinations it's tough. So if you notice any major reproducible issue or any recurrent wrong behaviour, please let me know and I will try to fix it.
Also, if you have any suggestion I'm here.

TL;DR version

Hey, there's already a super handy bullet list, how much short do you expect it to be xD ?

Joking, see you in November for the 1.5. I'm thinking of making it an animations only release (with a couple of exceptions) and produce it faster to align with a mid-month recurring average scheduling.

Great work! I use https://ttsmp3.com/ to create voice Mp3 because you can do a lot with the patterns. I tried to recreate one of yours but it didn't seem to take. I didn't attempt anymore because I thought I might break your program. Can I do that or not? Thank you for all your hard work. DeepMind would be great, however she might bite your dick off and then beat you in Go.

Hey Pete, thanks to you! About the speeches change, if you use Illusionist you can use whatever texttospeech and lipsync program you prefer, since in that case the engine doesn't use any audio source nor changes any viseme (and facial morphs in general). If intead you are using Enchanter you can substitute my speeches mp3 files with yours if you want, but: 1. you could hear some phrases out of context if you don't use something that has the same meaning of what you're going to substitute 2. lip sync is manually handcrafted so if you use a vocal sound with different timings the mouth animation could result a bit (or a lot) off I know https://ttsmp3.com/, if I recall correctly it uses Amazon Polly. I'm using Google Wavenet to produce texttospeech voices. They are really convincing but Tacotron2 can't come too soon :) https://google.github.io/tacotron/publications/tacotron2/index.html Obviously then we would become her slaves and yes, we would be beaten at Go for eternity.

Hooray, finally the 1.3 has seen the light. Let's take time to into it, and if you are in a hurry please take a look at the TL;DR version at the end of the wall of text :D .

About the new video

Lets start with a note on the new video. In short let's say goodbye to Youtube and welcome Mega. Since we entered the explicit territory I obviously cannot use anymore the popular platform. This also gave me more freedom, so instead of one general video I produced more focused ones.
This is not written in stone and depends on the time I can put in editing and stuff, but this month it seems I was lucky enough to produce the following videos:

As you can see there is a lot to be shown. Since audio has been introduced as an Enchanter only feature I separated it to be more visible respect the animations, at least for this release (but Illusionist now has hand gestures, check the section below for extra details).

Anyway if you have any suggestions on what is the best method to host a NSFW video and share it on Patreon your opinion is welcome ;) .

The audio

So let's speak about the main guest.
I teased it in the 1.2 post and I spoilered it later on. Yes, it's the audio! I worked on it on the (few) free spaces of august and came out with audio playable in the engine.

I think it adds a lot to the experience.

There are speeches and also sounds. Everything has been carefully crafted and tied to the right spot. Hope you appreciate the effort on this.

Speeches are always associated to a lip sync sequence, sounds are just sounds (like moaning) and don't have any mouth animation linked. So for example sometimes she moans with mouth closed, just to depict the worst scenario. Not sure this can be a good compromise or instead any sound (or some of them) should have some facial movement. I want to hear your opinion on this since implementing it can be very time consuming, but at the same time i don't want to sacrifice the immersion. Thanks in advance.

I'm happy with the final result anyway, in particular with how the engine is able to synchronize the sound with the behaviours. I think that is the important part, so I'm ok so far.

I will try to add more speeches and sounds in every release if possible, and expand them as I do with the behaviours.

For now there are a lot of generic sentences added to give completeness to the overall audio experience and cover all the behaviours added so far. Sounds instead are triggered during the main intimate experiences (kissing and masturbating). Later will try to add sentences to them too.

Also, the speeches are not triggered every time, they have a percentage of activation, so they will not annoy you with the same sentence over and over again. Instead they are tied to the gestures, soyou will probably listen to the same phrase in different contexts.
In the speeches video you can see as the speeches are perfectly intergrated with the facial expressions too.

In the end this is my very first attempt at audio, hope you will enjoy it.

A caveat: lip sync is severely limited by the framerate, because of the fast sequence of lips movements. It needs a minimum framerate. If it cannot be guaranteed then the lips movement will go slower than the audio. This happens for example on my (old) laptop. There's nothing I can do to fix it, so if you notice a slow mouth movement, well you know what causes it :P .

The Patreon tiers modification

About the audio there's an important issue that I want to address here and now. Audio is a vital feature that could have been a separate patreon tier alone. I will not do it nonetheless, and instead I have included it in the Enchanter tier without any price modification. The main rationale behind it is that I have added the hands gestures to the Illusionist pack.

Here's three reasons why:

  • this way additions to Enchanter and Illusionist are more balanced
  • unlike facial expressions I doubt someone has the will to set hands gestures for the Illusionist, so in my head it's a very good service for them
  • there are already behaviours that cannot take place without the proper hand posture (guess which ones :D), and I don't want to deteriorate the Illusionist experience totally depriving it of even one behaviour.

I hope you understand these points.

PS: Enchanter has had from the beginning a basic breathing routine that I never advertised too much because its simplicity. Anyway for clarity I added it to the tier description.

The new animations

I told you at the end of August I was already working on some new behaviours that I envisioned for the 1.3, and here they are:

We have:

  • sitting
  • masturbating her
  • masturbating him

A lot of realistic variability in this new behaviours. Just look at the video to have an idea. They kept me very busy because the masturbation needed to be very precise and that took the engine to its limits.

Since the huge spectrum of possibilities given by the different combinations of distances, angles, inclinations, collisions, etc.. it could happen that sometime she could lose her grab. Wait for the next cycle and don't despair, she will eventually take again possess of your... magical staff.

So the standard run is still very good but you know, these are procedural constructs so some runs can be good and other less :P .

Hope you enjoy the average case anyway, since I'm really proud of it.

The new UI selector

Last point is the decision algorithm enhancement, that has lead basically to the possibility of choosing the girl behaviour. I improved the granularity andnow you have a double layer of choice. The anima and the obsession. I really thought a lot about that and it turned out the best option to avoid becoming crazy with the decision tree,preserving the simulating nature of the engine while giving enough freedom to the user.

So you can now choose a behavioural obsession (like masturbating her for example) and that will bring the girl to perform such action in a compulsive way. That is, if you select an obsession the girl will be INCAPABLE of performing any other behavioural type.
Otherwise you can select an anima and it will perform a larger set of behavours (like caressing, kissing and masturbating him for the romantic one), following a narrative or anyway focusing on a progression. As always the default is the standard anima.

The obsessions introduced in the 1.3 are:

  • Kissing
  • Masturbating (M)
  • Masturbating (F)

Please note that if you choose an obsession the last anima selection will be canceled. They are EXCLUSIVE to each other for now, so if you choose an obsession the selected anima will be overwritten by the obsession settings.

If you have chosen a different anima/obsession please check the info box in the lower left corner of the UI to have a confirmation of the current selection.

I also introduced a new Anima, the Lewd Anima. Obviously this will perform only obscene behaviours. I think this is a must and I was only waiting to add some sexual behaviours to introduce it.
Seductive anima at the contrary has been confirmed as a teasing one and will only come up to the the kiss, (almost) never crossing that line.

I think I will describe better the various anima and obsessions in a future post, just to make it clear what priorities and exclusions each of them has.

For both anima and obsessions please remember to give the girl a minimum of time to realize and execute your will. I have lowered it further from 1.2 but the change is not instantaneous.

In conclusion I think I'm putting in place a system with good robustness and a lot of freedom in perspective, that I will be able to use to manage the (already) big set of behaviours that I will monthly add to the girl's backpack.

Give the anima system time to mature and show its strengths boys, I feel it's moving in the right direction ;)

How to use it

Regolo Engine 1.3 has been built and tested on VAM 1.17.7.1.
With the introduction of audio the Enchanter steps are slightly different:

  • download your version
  • only for the Enchanter: put the RegoloEngineAudio folder in the VaM saves/assets folder. So at the end you will have the following structure: VamFolder\Saves\Assets\RegoloEngineAudio
  • load the proper room (RegoloEngineRoom_1.3_E for Enchanter or RegoloEngineRoom_1.3_I for Illusionist).
  • possess the boy or align with him
  • load the plugin on the girl (the dll file)
  • [optional] choose an anima or obsession
  • [optional] choose the kissing motion type (dynamic or static)

If you have the Enchanter version the first thing to do is to put the RegoloEngineAudio folder under Saves/Assets. Please note that the Enchanter room will try to load all the audio files directly at the beginnning, so be sure to have placed in in the correct spot.

Also an important recommendation: safest way to start over the plugin execution is to clear it, reset girl's pose manually (from the person -> control panel) and then reload it. The plugin tries to automatically reset the pose at every start but it's not always perfect.

Bugs

A lot fixed and a lot to be fixed yet, but among the first set, one that bugged me a lot it's the wrong head rotation during the cawling. It's gone now, damn bastard. Among the latter ones still some jerky movements here and there, will try to get rid of them all soone than later.
