Another update, sorry....

- Fixed the chillo spell not working when the caster was charged.

- Added Version 2

In version 2, the spells will work as normal if the caster is not charged. If the caster is charged the spells will kill.

That's what I was thinking, you can still use the spells to harass other sims but if you're not paying attention and are charged you could kill one by accident. I sort of love that.

Originally I only wanted to edit the Inferniate spell... but then, I decided to go crazy with it...

This is a master post to collect all the spells, Inferniate, Chillo and ZipZap are now deadly.

Inferniate:

The target will burn for a long time and in the end, will drop dead.

ZipZap:

Will cast a lightning that will kill the target on the spot

Chillo:

Will freeze the target to death

Version 1 - Always deadly

Version 2 - Deadly only if the caster is Charged

Pick only one.

UPDATES:

08/30 - Update for Master Magic Mod, cleaned up the mod and reduced the number of files because it was too messy to update and maintain, sorry. Now there are only Version 1 and Version 2

They can be saved from inferniate (you can extinguish them) not from chillo and zipzap. I could try to tone it down though... I think it gives the player more control like this, because you're sure of the outcome..... With a random chance you're not.

Hopefully familiars will come in handy. I hope there is no autonomy for these spells. :D EDIT: Or it could be based on the charge with overcharged giving a 100% chance. Just tossing ideas here ^^.

I haven't seen casters casting spells on sims on autonomy, and all of them have spells assigned, the randoms too.... the sages especially have them all.... this is the sims 4 after all, nothing is autonomous

I suspect that with V2 it's only deadly in the charged state, but is non-deadly in the over-charged and dangerously overcharged states.

There is no difference in the interaction tuning between charged, over charged, and dangerously overcharged in the outcomes, beside the fact that some of them increases the chance to fail. the outcomes are only 2: normal spell and charged spell, I assume all the charged states use the second one... that's really not so much powerful, just gives longer buffs.

Well then I can't explain why it worked a couple times and didn't work dozens of times. Can it succeed to fire/shock/freeze them but fail to kill? Wouldn't a fail be a complete misfire where it does nothing or where it applies to you? Maybe it was the off lot issue, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't working right in the magic realm either. I'll try the new version.

Yep, stops working as soon as you become over-charged. Even if you initially cast it while charged, if that spell puts you into over-charged it doesn't work. Hopefully you can figure out how to configure the over-charged and dangerously overcharged states, as then you'll be able to configure 4 levels of spell effects instead of just two. That would open up a lot of cool possibilities.

Doesn't work meaning that it gives you the default effect OR it doesn't give any effect at all? Adding to it it's not hard to do... I'd just like to understand if the interaction running is the failure one. I've been taken by the bloodline trait so I haven't had time to test this in my game. Thanks for reporting.

Ehi, I just tested it and it works in my game as it should until you get to overload, then stops as it should as the mage gets uncharged. Quick question though does your sim have the spectral react? EDIT- never mind, I can confirm that it works for me in any case, spectral react or not https://imgur.com/a/v4r41m9 I have no idea why is not working for you.

Not charged, over-charged and dangerously over-charged the spells are non-lethal default effect. Charged the spell is lethal. I don't know what you're referring to by spectral react.

The perk... there are 2 versions of each spell, one is for sims with the perk and one is for sims without, but that's not the problem as the spells are lethal in those states for me in both cases. Did you test it with only this mod inside the folder?

hey wasn't sure if this was possible, maybe you know.. I tried to find the tuning myself and make the mod, however, was curious if it was possible to unlock the spellcaster adept levitated reading on all books for spellcasters of that level? I think it's cute and shame once you master the book levitation you can't do it will all books. any help on finding the right tuning to unlock it or making it would be cool if possible.

That would be absolutely amazing. There are some really awesome blessings and curses that came with JA that would integrate amazingly into RoM. I tried doing something with them way back when JA came out but alas my skills in the art of mod making are horrible at best. More like my skills at the art of last exception making. lol

Indeed, all about learning. I'm having a slight problem getting this to work in my game and it completely disables the zipzap spell for me. The other two spells work like they normally would but no death, and the zipzap spell gives xp, removes friendship but thats it. No zapping or death.

I need to know your mage level and perks and if the sim you're casting on is a mage charged. Charged mages are protected. Also, are you casting on lot or outside lot?

Mage Level Master. Perks are knowledge is power blender arm discharge experimenter incredible forager power shunt Tried on 3 different lots on willow creek park magic hq glimmerbrook bar I tried it on regular non spell casters and just spell casters the game made.

Okie dokie, I used it at home on a family member and it killed them properly. So it seems like I can only kill my family? I invited over a sim and got the same result from last time. No zap animation, no death. Just friendship loss and xp gain. Quit the game. Cleared out the cache and the same thing happened. I can kill anyone in my family (I added 3 townies and it killed them all once they were a family member but not before) but no one else.

No, it only resets it, just like potion of youth from rewards store. It's weird though that "Immortality" usually means to never age and stay young forever. Though I hope it's not that hard to change the tuning of that?

UPDATED: instructions to protect played sims from the purging inside

This is for people who had pre-mades turned into spellcasters in their saves

>>>>>>PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION<<<<<<<<

DO NOT PLAY WITH THIS MOD INSIDE YOUR FOLDER!!! This is a one time fix and you need to follow the instruction. The mod to stop the premades from becoming spellcasters is HERE

Playing with this mod inside your folder will cause your sims to get removed as spellcaters every time you load a lot or your game!!!

Before installing the MOD:

To protect your played sims from the purging, load your game, open the cheat menù and enter testingcheats on, select your played sim as active and enter in the cheats menù traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_SpellcasterPremade, do the same for all the sims you want to protect;

- Save the game twice in two separate saves before installing the mod, and to be sure, make a backup of your save

- Install the mod

- Load the game

- Enter Live Mode (you need to load the household or teleport the sims you want to turn back into an active lot)

- DO NOT SAVE - check that the sims you wanted to turn back into humans are in fact back to be humans

- Check that the pre-mades spellcasters are still such

- Check that your played spellcasters are still such

If everything is fine, you can save the game, exit and remove the mod from your folder

YOU NEED TO LOAD IT ONLY ONCE

Please report back if it worked.

you can fix the played sim with cheats traits.remove_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult and traits.remove_trait trait_Occult_WitchOccult_Manifested while he's played and selected... I'm not sure what's going on in your game, try deleting the cache

Yeah, they made a mess with this GP and this mechanics... I wish i could do more and hope MCCC gets updated soon, as you can select and humanize NPCs with it. Till then this is the most I can do.. those NPCs can still be turned back with cheats but you'll have to play them.

MCCC teleport. You can do this: install this mod again, following the instruction, load the game, pause, use MCCC to teleport world Sims to the played sim you have loaded. As soon as they will be loaded into the lot, my mod will remove the trait automatically.

Last night I went through all my NPC's in CAS to see which ones were witches. Then I turned the ones that were back. Then the game turned two more into witches that were not showing as witches in CAS.

You're welcome. I looked into maxis filter again and can confirm that the played sim should not have been turned ever, that's one of the only two exclusion they did apart from excluding other occults and special sim like grim... pretty sure there is a bug going on there.

yeah that's the problem. I noticed this too... it shouldn't remove it unless those sims are loaded in the active lot, one way is to load the game paused with MCCC and keeping it paused as you teleport world sims into the lot... this way your played sims do not spawn as walkby.

Now I have noticed the game forcing one of my played sims to go to the realm and it also has turned a npc into a spellcaster. I have the portal only spellcasters and don't turn npc into spellcaster. Not sure what is going on

do you have a previous save? if you do, check if they had the NoOccult hidden trait (you can use this mod to check it http://modthesims.info/d/576053/show-search-sim-info-mod.html) in the hidden trait category. the only reason I can think about is that they did not have this trait.

Have anyone tested it? Does it work? I will right know but i am kinda panicing..Thank God i runned into your mod first so my townies wernt turned in spellcastor but the homples one from my list were..And some were actually nice looking because i made them, so i dont have ugly genareted homeles townies..I dont know what is problem in them to just let us create our own spellcastors or maybe if they made turn off /on option..What would that be if in every world there walks by 20 spellcasters agggghhh. I sorta wanted to make witches some kind of deep dark secret, and that portal a secret place you can enter as human also but only for some sims. You actually need to find it and discover it. But for sims youuu controll and they have that storyline. This way it's ,made like being a spellcaster is just some regular thing for everybodyy to become.

It's like what they did to vampires.. everyone knows about vampires and no one is afraid or scared by them. I tested it but I don't have may unplayed spellcasters in my main save right now, and I didn't have time to set up a testing save for this.

So I went and put in the command "traits.equip_trait trait_Hidden_SpellcasterPremade" and made saves and backups. I installed the mods, loaded the game and my sim that I wanted saved got purged anyway.

The sages are still there, a couple that I recognize as premades are still there. Was the Landgraab son changed to a premade spellcaster? He is still here.

Malcom probably escaped the purging. The only possible reason for this is that you didn't enter "testingcheats on" before the trait cheat, and your sim was not given the spellcasterpremade trait. Or for some other reason, the trait was not given.

I dressed them like that for... testing... purpose...

Added a version of this mod to be used with:

Magic Sages in Household by Merkaba

Because it can happen if you make them playable and have a mod that stops the random generation of townies, that they will not show up at all if when you play them they have a job... so this version of the mod will assure that:

- They will ignore the job while you don't play them and show up at the MagicHQ,

- They will not be replaced by some random pear.

I never managed to reproduce that problem... Also I had to suffer a great deal to make a mod to really remove the Sages for my game.... I don't know how to fix it... Let's hope the person who managed to make it work will share how.

Just letting you know when I tried this it made my Sages (or any Sages for that matter) not show up / be in the Magic Realm at all. 0_0. It was like the role was completely removed from the game and not even randomly generated replacements were generated. Other spellcasters came and went to and from the Realm as normal however.

Now that's an EA bug, premades spellcasters are blacklisted from getting the random mages outfits, but the way they set up it makes it so that they will always wear the job one ... i had multiple of them dressed as bartenders.

Ehi, sages and premade mages are blacklisted from getting the random situation outfit in game, my mod doesn't touch them ... It was never supposed to... But I can look into disabling the situation outfits for sages too.

Oh thanks for the quick response. Aha I had no idea, but it makes sense, because I played for 2 days with the sages wearing what I chose them to wear as everyday clothing, but for some reason 2 of the swapped to another piece of clothing the other day and has just decided to wear that in the magic realm :S. That's strange... I use my mod in my save and didn't see a situation outfit, apart from the jobs ones (bartenders and such) you are still seeing the random outfits though, right?

Those townies were mostly pre-existing and I have a mod (the times I didn't have all mods removed for the test) that lets me change people's outfits and I can see what their everyday outfits are etc, and no, the weird outfits are not their own. They are definitely situational, as they're not part of the sims wardrobes.

Found a way (yay!) with this mod, only spellcasters will go in and out the portal, no more Nancy Landgraab... also, they will not be given the situation outfit. If you don't have enough spellcasters, though, the game will generate them.

Use either this or the other mod (no npcs in and out the portal) not both!

You will need to either use this one if you want just spellcasters to move in and out or the "no NPCs in and out the portal" if you don't want anyone, not both. Make sure you delete your localthumbscache file in your game folder and launch the game again.

Are they residents in other worlds (pre-mades) or randoms? if they're random then it's how the mod works... the game will pick your mages or generate new ones. If you don't want anyone to go to the portal then you need the other mod

I'm still having issues with random generated spellcasters coming into the realm of magic. How many Spellcasters do I need to make in order for the generated spellcasters to stop?

The game needs between 4 and 6 intermediate and between 2 and 3 novices in the venue. I can make a mod to reduce it, if you want (I had it in my mod folder for a while and didn't have randoms) but then the lot will be a bit empty. BTW this mod here is only for the residential world.

Ghosts are not affected. I don't get many randoms in the realm, the game will pick existing ones first. I don't know if you use my other mod for stopping non occults from being turned into occults, but you may want to try bienchen one instead, her mod will still change npcs into casters but as I get it, only the homeless existing ones. I'll post a mod to reduce the casters required by the venue anyway, i have it already done.

I don't know if this is game thing or this mod 'cause I haven't played ROM without these mods as I don't want random townies enter the realm or townies turning to spellcasters but anyway, my cat familiar is unable to enter the realm. Is this mod allowing pet familiars enter the realm or is it game thing that they can't enter?

Maybe this is just me, but seeing Nancy Landgraab and her husband going in and out the magic portal as if nothing dressed in the stupid spellcaster role outfit totally ruins the magic of magic for me. Unfortunately, the only way I found to stop it is to stop NPCs from going through the portal all together.

The filter used is the one for the joggers... editing it would edit the walkby situation in every world.

I played RoM for about... 10 minutes.... as soon as I entered the magic realm, all my pre-mades were turned into spellcasters. I don't like it, thank you very much Maxis...

This mod should stop the madness, the game will use premade spellcasters or generate new ones for the role. Let me know if it works fine, I tested it but I need more inputs.

sims4me_townieoverhaul_lessfame_onlyrecruithomelessspellcasters conflicts with Don't Turn My Sims into Spellcasters difference is: Bienchen's mod only converts homeless NPCs, mine totally stops Non Occults from becoming Occults.

Hi! Thanks a lot for this mod, but I think that it doesn't work if you have the "Import from tray" option on from MCCC. I still see random townies coming from the portal and when I install Bienchens mod with this one, (even when I have spellcaster saved on my library) it just doesn't generate any Sim so it uses ONLY the ones who live in houses I think.

The game generates them... you have to make a couple of full spellcasters households for the game to stop generating them, the count spawn is between 1 and 10 sims on the magic venue, so it needs a fair amount of them. Also, the pre-mades spellcasters do not count for that role. The mod only stops non occult sims from being turned into occults.

Hi. I loved your mod but I’m having an issue. It works great with NPCs, but ever since I’ve started using it no matter how much my sims know the Sage (they’re best friends at this point) he says he won’t teach magic until they know each other better. I don’t know if maybe it’s conflicting with other mods I have but I tried to delete the ones that could do that

Really appreciate the quick save you did for us with this mod, I installed this before I even opened the new game because the minute I heard it was changing random pre-existing npcs into Spellcasters I was like HELL NO. Lol. I love occults in my game but I also like them to be fairly rare...I tend to have specifics Sims in my stories that are meant to be Supernaturals. Brings back memories of Sims 2 when the npc vamps would start turning people at random...didn't like it then, either. xD

hi, thanks a lot for your work. I just wanted to say that this mod conflicts with another one that blocks the generation of random npcs. It's not free anymore, so I removed it anyway from my game, but, there is any chance that you can create a mod that prevent the creation of randoms for the other jobs, like bartender, vet, librarians and so? basically I would like my resident non played sims be able to work in the world and not to turn into spellcasters. You mean NPCC? What conflict does it have? I use it and didn't notice. You can try Bienchen's townies overhaul to block the randoms.. it works pretty well and I can look at possible conflicts as that mod is modular.

yes, that one. not really a conflict, but when I had it on, your mod didnt work. residents still visited the magic realm and became spellcasters. once I removed it, the game begin to generate randoms to populate the realm, but also the stores from other worlds. maybe I had wrong settings? I'll try again and Ill try your suggestion too.

Is your version of NPCC updated? You can get it on down with patreon if it's not.. I haven't seen the problem but I also use Bienchen's mod. I really suggest you to switch to that. NPCC is useful to remove the careers from townies but Bienchen's mod works like charm.

I just added a test to stop the game from turning NPC non occult sims into Spellcasters, it stops non spellcasters sims from entering the realm, but it doesn't stop played sims from doing it... non spellcasters weren't allowed in it already, the moment Bob Pancakes walks through the portal, is turned into an occult in vanilla game.

Hey! I absolutely LOVE your mod so thank you first! I wanted to let you know that I'm having the same problem where the rest of the socials aren't showing. I even tested it with the same couple twice. I got the "Apologize for Cheating" and "Confront for Cheating" but that's about it. I also couldn't confront the mistress sim either nor "Demand an Explanation". Just wanted to keep you posted, but I REALLY love your work.

Yup, go into cheat sims info and remove buff (not remove all buffs) and on the list check that your sim has at least one of the IR- buffs (they all start with IR- for example IR-GUILTY) then check the other sims too.

It should work just fine, but it relies on Maxis broadcast reaction... if the sims don't react then the mod can't work... that was the only way for me to track things.

I love drama autonomy in my game, lol. I'd love an autonomous version. For the other mod; Yes, I fixed it by temporarily removing the mod until it's fixed and the exceptions are now gone. Been playing for a few hours now. But theirs no rush for a fix because I play with better romance mod and I don't notice any cheating or flirting in my game so far.

I'm not sure about ask if single, but a simple flirt doesn't either apparently, truth is.. the romance bar is invisible until it reaches 20 points or so, but a simple flirt too is enough to set the relationship bit to romantic.

My sim was getting a tense cheating moodlet when she was flirting with her partner the same sims who are married also get an embarrassed moodlet for sleeping with a married sim even though they are married to each other I hope I'm explaining this well but essentially this sim couple I have aren't cheating they don't have any other romantic interests apart from each other and one sim thinks she is actively cheating on my other sim with my other sim even though that makes no sense and there is no socials available to resolve the cheating so its like the game kinda realizes it's wrong it's a mess but im going to do more testing to find out if there is anything that causes this to happen.

Ok well just to update I temporarily uninstalled this mod and played with another household in the same world and I saw one of my sims mentioned above was angry so I switched to her and found out that her spouse was, in fact, cheating somehow some way even though autonomous flirty introductions are off shes just bad news. I deleted the household, too sad for me I like this mod for the expressing love and being faithful options so I will continue to play and hopefully I won't encounter any heartbreaking scenarios.

Hi! I'm having... doubts? Are the new: ask to be lover and ask to be sex friend interractions supposed to add something to the relationship panels? (because I think they don't) Is it normal for them to appear even after being perfomed already (with the same sim?) Also, I love your mods. Love the feels my sims get.

Ehi, nope... I looked into adding it to the panel but I couldn't find enough documentation and it seems to have the potential to cause save game problems, so I decided to not to go there. And yep it's normal, without a relbit removing them after being performed would remove the possibility for a sim to be multiple sim's lover or sexfriend. Sorry.

Oh, I've been hoping someone would make mods that would allow for more complex gameplay. I love it, though I've encountered an issue. The mod seems to be working fine with romantic interactions in the game but it isn't working with WW interactions. The latter are triggering only the game's jealousy buffs.

as far as I know, WW uses it's own jealousy system.. I don't really use the mod (the only use I have for it is disable the headlines and I have no animations installed right now) so I didn't really test it with it.

Thank you for answering! I only know that WW jealousy system triggers buffs that are already in the game and has about the same impact on the relationship as witnessing woohoo would have. In my game WW interaction had no impact on the "promise to be faithful" interaction, which is how it caught my attention.

Yes things to get very intense i have WW and Nias Whicked perversions with it the only thing is when my sim flirts with some one else he gets the got caught cheating buff last for 4 days. He also has had all 3 together, got caught cheating, got caught cheating with married sim ( but the sim he was with he's engaged to) and got caught cheating with taken sim, the embarrassed that was really bad buff, the feels bad for cheating buff, i'm going to just play with your mods for a while and see how it goes or i'll just give him his players trait back LOL....This mod is awesome you did a fantastic job, Thank you again....

I was playing my main save, and Caleb got promoted to Sous Chef... he also was so very happy about it, and it pissed me off, the same way it pissed me off that he could not tell the family I gave to him and Lilith that he was turned into a vampire by Miss Hell, that he couldn't tell anyone about it... so I told him to wait, turned off my game and fixed it.

Three new interactions (for now):

- Share news on your promotion.

- Share news on your engagement.

- Share news on your relationship (got a boyfriend/girlfriend)

- Talk about the camping trip (only after camping)

- Complain about missing home (only during camping)

- Complain about workload (only stressed from work)

- Complain about stale surroundings (only materialistic/stale surrounding buff)

- Obsess about new purchasings (only materialistic/love new things buff)

- Complain about lack of exercise (only active/not enough exercise buff)

- Talk about workout session (only active/good workout buff)

- Complain about lack of videogames (only geek/need gaming buff)

- Complain about lack of promotion (only ambitious/promotion anxiety buff)

- Brag about Masterpiece Painting (only painted masterpiece buff)

LANGUAGES

French (Candyman gaming)

Available as long as the EA buffs are active.

So now Caleb can obsess everyone about his promotion!

Is there a way to expand on/change ask about children/ siblings so that, instead of just telling you if they have any, it's more like you're asking how they're doing? I'm not sure exactly how this might look, but if I ask someone about their family, I'm not just asking if they have one.

Just as a small suggestion building on the camping feedback (I haven't done this in a while so not sure if there are any buffs to link this too) but what if they could talk about trips and missing home when travelling to Salvadorada. Also perhaps brag about finding rare artifacts or complain if they came home with poor / fake artifacts. Perhaps even being able to mention seeing / speaking to the skeletons that guard the temple or swimming in the healing springs (I'm fairly sure there is a buff for this)

I have an idea my sim just fininished strangerville and I can't brag about it ! would have been nice to "talk about the fight with the mother plant" or/and "brag about saving a town" and/or "complain about beeing possesed" and/or "warn the sim that he seems possessed" and/or "complain/brag about loosing/winning a fight with the mother plant ( or any other sim as well)" I also have an actor sim and I would love to be able to share that i got the audition or not

Another great addition! There are several things that you could potentially add which build on the EA buffs. I know there are plenty; like "Brag about Extinguishing Fire" (confident) or "Obsess about recent fire" (tense), "Complain about losing popularity" (Get famous, celebrity level loss) etc. There are countless possibilities ^^ If this is just about "Sharing news on..." I might need to play a bit and see what might come up which could potentially fit.

Added a bunch of new interactions, I'm still working on them though:

- Ask to be Lover: That's open for everyone always, if there is a romantic relationship between two sims and they are not in relationship. it's not very likely to succeed, the interaction must be very successful to give a positive outcome. Good and Jealous sims are never going to accept. Noncommittal, evil and romantic sims are more likely to accept. The jealousy reaction will change if the sim involved is your lover.

- Break arrangement: to end a lover relationship with someone, it's a friendly interaction with no loss in relationship, after all if they agreed, they knew from the beginning the nature of the relationship.

For the Cheated on Sim:

- Confront partner and confront other sim: has a mid chance to have a positive outcome.

- Demand explanation from partner and other sim: has an higher chance of giving a positive outcome.

- fight partner and other sim: never going to give a positive outcome.

- Tell partner that it's all good: I left this open for guilty targets too, because my system could fail to identify correctly a guilty sim, this will gain both friendship and romance, and it's intended for the cases in which the game penalize the player unfairly.

Also, added a package to stop the jealous sim from walking away like an idiot. the reactions still need a couple of seconds to kick in.

One of my sims keeps getting a moodlet for her boyfriend called "unresolved problem" and I'm not sure why or what to do to fix it. Is that from this mod?

Yeah, it's a feature I'm still refining.. it will go away on its own when the timer of the buff is over, you can get rid of it by using one of the interactions, or you can use mccc to remove either the buff IR-FINAL-GUILTY or IR-FINAL-CHEATEDON.

so... what happens in the "ask to be lover" if the sim is both a romantic and jealous lol? also, why require a romance bar if the intention is more no strings woohoo? I guess because you need a certain percent for woohoo without mods? I have woohoo disabled so I'm not sure what it is anymore.

If the sim has both trait I think you get two interactions to choose from with the same name... then I guess it's a question of luck. It wouldn't make sense to have it open without a romance bar for people who play with the strings on or without WW.

ah yea makes sense, haven't had woohoo in my game in over 2 years now so lol, but if it could detect ww that would be cool. like I've mentioned one of my saves, my sim is married but has a no-strings committed 3some partner so the whole ask to be lover would be interesting to sort of storytell that arrangement.

- New: Added interaction "Inquire about strange feelings" for the lucky sims who got the randomly assigned special traits (That's "vampire lover" and "afraid of vampires"). They will not split it out right away, the interaction is successful only if very successful (conversation needs to be pleasant) I had to ask Caleb 3 times before he told me. It will not bring a relationship loss if the vampire refuses to tell you, only if the interaction badly fails. Beware that it will NEVER succeed if the vampire is evil. When successful, the Sim who asked will get an happy buff, as long as this buff is active the chance to improve the relationship with that vampire are multiplied both friendly and romantically. The special trait will be replaced with a positive opinion on vampire (negative, if the vampire was evil)

Sorry I'm dumb... I found another error in a test I didn't fix before...

I had the relationship check set in reverse, that's the reason it was failing so often unless the other sim had the positive trait... and in testing, I used Mila Munch which I just found out... has the good trait.

- The Cheater Sim should now break the conversation with the other Sim upon their partner reaction and not going on flirting like a perfect dick.

Fixed some testing. The mod should now recognize trouples correctly (I'm going to add an option to ask people to be a trouple when I start to add the interactions) and all the temp traits are going to be removed from sims in 3 sims hours automatically.

Some tests weren't running right, I fixed them:

- Friends and up were supposed to accept the confession almost always, but the test was failing.

- Made the interaction more likely to succeed.

- Made the random assignation of the negative traits less likely.

How to gain the trusted vampire status: find a Sim with the good trait, Good sims are ALWAYS going to accept the confession, even if you insult them first. Trusted vampires can talk things through and that's going to remove all the negative traits from other Sims.

- Vlad complained because "Confess to be a Vampire" was.. kinda too nice. So... you can now REVEAL to be a vampire under the mean interactions. This is going to do wonders for your reputation.

- Evil Vampires will now not care anymore to be un-disguised.

- No more Deep Drink in the middle of San Myshuno without consequences, people will now notice (if they react at all, but that's not my fault), will be scared and will automatically have a negative opinion on vampires.

Still can. I added it just for roleplay, mostly... not everyone wants to play a good vampire. Just... don make good vampires do it.. especially, if they completed the relative aspiration.

Parenthood Proximity Buff System Applied To Other Relationships

Have you present how Parenthood introduced that little buff Sims get from having a bad or good relationship with a family member?

I went in, and applied the same logic to all the relationships in game.

I was meaning to post it on MTS after my Vampires Mod but whatever…

What is this mod?

This mod will make so that every decision you take will have (mostly) long term consequences. No more breaking up in the morning, getting the bar up again in the afternoon, and getting married again in the evening… because the Sim you break up with will get a proximity buff around your Sim, as will your Sims around them.

Starting from the most neutral relationship:

- Friends and good friend get a +1 happy buff around each other.
- Lovebirds and up until Lovers get a +1 flirty buff
- Lovers get a +1 flirty buff
- Soulmates a +1 happy buff
This until they are not in a committed relationship.

For Girlfriend and boyfriend and up:

Nothing changes, but if the relationship starts to go down instead than up, they will feel bored. As it starts going into red, they will start to feel tense.


For married Sims is the same:

But if the relationship goes into dangerous red zone, they will feel VERY angry.

A Soulmates Marriage gets a +1 Happy buff.


Special cases:

- Awkward relationship will feel embarrassed.

- Hot and cold have a randomized change to get bored, angry, flirty or tense.

- Enemies with benefits will get very flirty.

Broken up and Divorced Sims:

- In red: angry.
- With romance: sad
- Relationship starts working again: happy or in case of divorce very happy.
- Divorced friend will just get a small buff happy +1 "happily divorced"
- Awkward relationship broken up will feel embarrassed.

Despised/disliked sim: +1 tense
Enemies: +2 angry.

I gave up and manually fixed this. Re-added some missing languages, the rock group medium bug should be fixed. I added a line to the string tables. Changed the mood of the BFF to happy because it was annoying me.

I was trying to edit your Good Marriage buff with my own text but I'm getting a ''Small Rock Group 01 '' error in my moodlet = https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/596869879454498856/690560911965945946/unknown.png I was wondering how I may fix it and what I had done wrong. Also what is Faithful exactly? Is it a hidden trait? or a Relationship Bit? I can't seem to find out the interaction that will trigger it. Sorry for all the questions!

I canNOT believe I'm just not finding out about all of your mods, they are AHMAZINGGG I am SO excited to try all of them that I shut my game down right after starting gameplay after hearing about a review someone did on youtube (which takes like 15 minutes to do and another 20 to start back up-so I'm pretty excited lol)! hi Taylor, i was a previous macbook owner trying to use mods! To get mods like this to work, you need to get a zip extractor for mac, my personal favourite is Archiver xx. i know this is like really late but i hope it helps! :))

I love that you’re making these mods. More complex relationships have seriously been lacking in the game. I don’t know if you’re taking any suggestions but I have some ideas for more varied and complex familial relationships if you’d like to hear them 😊

1. I love how you’ve introduced the different romantic dynamics between sims that are relationships and how it affects them after they split up. I think what could be pretty cool is if the relationships between parents could also have some effect on their children. For example, if parents have a good relationship and become affectionate in the presence of their children, this could cause a „happy home” buff for the children. Maybe this could also generate a hidden trait that would allow them to get positive moodlets while being around affectionate parents and they could build their own romantic relationships more easily. If their parents have a bad relationship, that could generate „unhappy parents” buff. The kids could then become tense while being in a room together with their parents and it would affect their future romantic relationships negatively as well. 2. Next, we more negative and positive relationships between parents and their children that would have a bigger impact on the children and the household. For example, if the parent performs enough mean interactions on their child (and strict parenting interactions), this could cause the child to start feeling tense around said parent. The strength of the moodlet could vary, depending on the circumstances. For example, if the parent would be in fine or happy mood, the tense moodlet the child would be weaker but if the parent is angry or tense, the moodlet the child receives would be stronger. Furthermore, strict parent could also get corresponding moodlets. If the child gets a lower grade at school or behave in an unwanted manner, they could become angry. They could also get annoyed with their children if they get sad. The negative relationship between the parent and the child could also affect other family members, making them feel tense whenever the parent and child are in the same room. If the relationship with the parent remains negative when the child turns into a teenager, they could be assigned a hidden „insecure” trait, that would give them various moodlets and would affect their friendships and relationships negatively (I’d have some ideas for potential moodlets if this was ever something you’d consider implementing). The relationship children had with their parents could affect how they would feel about becoming parents themselves (specific moodlets during pregnancy and after becoming parents). 3. On the flipside, if parents perform a lot of friendly interactions on their children, the children could get happy and confident moodlets around their parents. Parents would also react positively to their children’s succeses. This could result in a hidden „well-adjusted” trait for the children that would affect their future relationships positively. Basically, the exact opposite of how the negative relationship would affect the child and the parent. 4. Parents and children could react to each other’s partners and get specific moodlets around them. Based on whether or not they liked their parent’s/child’s significant other, they could have happy/sad reactions to them splitting up or getting engaged/married (cheating could also factor into this). Even if the have a positive relationship in the begining, parents/siblings/friends of a sim could end up disliking their partner if they cheat on them or just break up. It could be cool if sims could „introduce” their partners to their family and have them react accordingly (and their reactions could be based on things like traits and reputation, as well as their relationship with the child). Parents (depending on their traits) could have negative reactions to seeing their teenagers perform romantic interactions with their s.o. 5. If parents get divorced, children could blame one (or both) of their parents for the divorce, causing the relationship to become strained. 6. Sims that have lost their partners/children to death could feel overprotective about their other/new partners/children. That’s the general list of things I came up with. I do have more detailed ideas for each of the points above (specific buffs and interactions) but I didn’t want to go too much into it in case you wouldn’t be interested in implementing any of them. In any case, thanks for hearing me out :)

New Gameplay Options For Vampires


This Mod was redone from scratch, so be sure to read what's changed and what's new.

Confess to be a Vampire

Most people will now just not believe a vampire that confess. Friends will be more likely to accept. The outcome is a bit randomized so you can never be sure of what they're going to say. Other occults are more likely to accept, mermaids though are less likely due to the fact that vampires can make packs with fish.

Confessing will now display a notification.

Ask Opinion on Vampires

Everyone can do it now, different people will have a different starting opinion on vampires. The interaction will now show a notification as well, so you can have an idea of what the other Sim thinks.

Offer to Drink From You

High enough relationship required and must have “knows is vampire” relbit

Will make the vampire actually drink with permission from your Sim.

Confessing to family

Now the vampire will have to ask the family member they confessed to about their decision, the option will be availlable after 12 hours from the confession. The outcome is based on relationship.

Declare opinion on vampires

Your Sims can now decide the opinion they have on vampires.

Fear System

This had the major restyle. The random Vampire instinct traits are now actually rare. You can still Talk About the Weird Feelings with sims with those traits. Sims with a negative opinion on vampires can still spread the panic. Sims with a negative opinion will still get tense around vampires but it will not be forever, they will be hostile only for about 2 days.

Integration with the Maxis Interactions

In a separate package, the Maxis social interactions will now work alongside the mod. For example, confessing the fear of vampires will have a small chance of giving the Fear of Vampires instinct random trait, also, sims with a positive opinion cannot confess the fear.

Integration with Maxis Reactions

In a separate package, the reactions sims get fro seeing a vampire drink from another sim or using powers will expose their vampirism.

Relbit

You get a relbit with known vampires or sims that knows about the vampirism.

Integration with my other mod Vampires Can Kill

The drinking interaction too will expose the vampire to the sim they're drinking from. Not all of them, if the Sim faint he will not remember, but has the chance to get the Vampire instinct.

Quick question. So how is the rework affecting non-vampires. I have been testing out some things but the option "Ask if Vampire" doesn't show up.; is it because the Sim has never encountered one or has zero knowledge about it? EDIT : Another Sim had the option. hmm... more testing to do :D

Regarding the flirtatious feelings around the vampire, it seems to be contagious in a way. I had the sim's roomies (3 sims in total) feeling flirtatious around vamps as well. Is this related to that specific vampire ? Not sure if another mod conflicts with this one; the last ones I added were"Vampire Cheats Simplified " to tweak with some NPC vampires and the IR Cheating mod.

So I did play test with the Roomies again and it seems as if they all eventually got the Tense buff around vamps (and I noticed other townies being tense too, though that could be from another source). Are the two moodlets (tense, flirty) random upon being around a vampire or is it like a hidden trait that a Sim acquires upon meeting a vampire, which is then removed upon having an opinion? Does the opinion become a hidden trait?

it's an hidden trait that is given once when the main trait is assigned... I should have fixed the problem in the new version I'm working on.

I'm downloaded the XML injector and placed the mods in my mod file but it doesn't seem to work because I can't seem to find any of the interactions. Is there any specific instruction I might have missed?

Did you try to view your custom conten ingame? If the xml injector doesn't appear under script mods you placed it a folder too deep since script mods have to be placed in a different way

First thing, test the xml injector. There should be an interaction on PC, Mailbox and Sims to test it.

I occasionally get 2 choice for "Confess to be a Vampire" under friendly - one gets tagged as a mean interaction while the other as friendly. Both have the same name. Also what triggers the "Undisguised" tense buff? I asssumed it apepared when moving around in Dark Form.

You get undisguised when a vampire has confessed to someone already and there are sims opposed to vampires around... I don't think there is a buff I can link to it for the dark form but I will look into it. I'll look into the duplicated interaction too, thanks!

Joaquin Le Chien is very opposed to vamps in my save game. Who knew ^^ In fact it feels as if all Spin masters are secretly vampire hunters :D EDIT: On second thought I didn't mind the undisguised as an idea since you explained it :) It would be nice to see reactions to dark form although I have no idea on how this can be done (like the reaction to nudity I guess?)

I love your mods. Do you think you could maybe add notifications in the future? I ask other sims their opinion on vampires and I don't actually know their opinions because I don't get a notification.

I can't, the interactions are added by the injector. Download it from the comments section and test it via one of the testing interactions without other mods in the folder to see if the injector is working.

I believe this actually does conflict! At least with the most recent University patch. I find that when I have both of them in my game, my entire household disappears, as well as the UI. The only remaining thing is the Aspiration box that says either 'invalid' or 'missing' string. I spent about 4 hours going through my mods and isolating all of them to find the conflict. All your other mods work perfectly fine with NisaK.

it's possible that she was assigned the trait, but if it gets assigned too often, then i'll need to tone it down a bit more. it gets assigned when the main trait is given to the sims.

I removed The Vampire Cheats mod and Immersive Vamps to "Reset" it and test it again. For now at least, I got a blank slate (a shame really since it would have been interesting for my Sim). Will let yolu know if I notice too many occurences.

A small question : my teen sim has recently stumbled on a vampire they often meet in a Nightclub. The Played Sim has the constant tense buff but with no option to inquire as to his nature under "Friendly". Do I need a specific relationship with the target vampire to have the option?

I have a question, are non-vampires supposed to be able to offer themselves up for a drink? I have a spellcaster who has a full friendship bar with a vamp, and is romantic interests with her, but they haven't had their first kiss yet. I'm pretty sure she just confessed to him, and he has a positive opinion on vamps, but I am not seeing an option under friendly or romantic to offer himself up to her.

the option is not present if the sim has a negative opinion and if the sim doesn't know about the other sim vampirism. check that they have the know is vampire relationship. the confession is not autonomous.

Weird! I totally thought she did, cause she invited him over in the middle of the night, saying she had something to ask him, and her first interaction was to share a secret. He even had a moodlet for awhile that he heard a juicy secret. I had him ask her if she's a vamp, but it didn't seem like anything happened. Thanks for the info!

Oh that's a Maxis drama node... if you wait 15 minutes or so the vampire will ask to turn your sim.. maxis though forgot to exclude other occults from the event, so if a spellcaster or a mermaid are invited, nothing happens at all. If they have an high relationship you can ask her if vampire, she should split it out and give you the relbit.

hi, i Have a problem. perhaps i made a mistake by installing. Xml Injektor works, i installed vampire can kill and immersive vampire in the same Directory. the killing works. but by the sozial options under Friendly the Vampire Options are empty, i don't see what i say to the other Sims. I hope someone can help me. i testet this by delete all other mods and same problem. The xml injektor is from site four of the comments. in short words: i see the new Options, but they don't have text.

Is it normal for a non-vampire Sim to get the "They know!" tense buff when being warned about vampires? That specific Sim has the Good, Self-Assured, Ambitious and Gregarious traits. I assume that since he's good he doesn't appreciate the discrimination? :P

it's normal if he has a positive opinion on vampire, he's worried about them.. and if a vampire confessed to him he has a positive opinion for sure since he's good.

Makes sense. As a good sim he'd have a positive reaction. Not sure which vampire it was. There is this randomly generated vamp in my game with the good and child of the islands trait so I suppose she might be the one. Autonomy in my game is going very far! It's fun though :D I use "have some personality please" for this reason :)

is it possible for a Sim that was previously Tense around vampires and inquired about strange feelings, to also develop the Flirty reaction later on? I have a feeling this might have occured in my game, around Lilith this time around. Is it expected?

Thanks. I found out it was an issue with the XML injector as the main download one on MTS isn't the correct one, with the correct version instead being on page 4 of the comments. Thanks again for the reply

this mod goes great with the tasty flesh mod... least if the vampire is trusted and their meal likes them. always wanted a way for my sims partners to offer themselves to him since it seems weird you cant. especially if the sim likes the vampire in question. also fits with how I use kiss neck directed at my sim from his human partners as a sign of trust and understanding.
