Hello! Thank you for using yiff.party!

We hope you enjoy using it. yiff.party operates on a non-profit basis, and as such, all the server expenses are paid by our users. We don't want to run ads or infect you with crypto miners. We depend on users like you to keep the site running, and to preserve years and terabytes of amazing content—some of which is no longer available from its original creators!

Because of the nature of the site, many users are reluctant to donate. That's OK! yiff.party was created so everyone can enjoy the content we host without any restrictions or paywalls. But if you value the service we provide, and are able to, we—and our users—would be tremendously grateful if you considered making a donation.

Donation progress for January 2020

So far, approximately $182.48 has been raised out of our target of $280.00. We're about 65% of the way there! Please note: this tracker is updated manually—don't worry if your donation doesn't show up immediately!

yiff.party's server costs are due on the last day of each month. So, we need to meet this goal before 31 January!

How to donate?

At this time, yiff.party can only accept donations in numerous cryptocurrencies. Please select a currency below to display the relevant donation address.

Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Litecoin (LTC)
Why can't I donate through other means (eg. PayPal)?

Due to the nature of sites like yiff.party, it is very difficult to find payment processors who will accept clients like us. If we were to accept donations via PayPal, it wouldn't take more than a day for someone to submit an abuse report and get our account frozen. Until a viable way of accepting monetary donations becomes available, cryptocurrency will remain the only option.

There are many resources available on how to purchase crypto. For Bitcoin, check out bitcoin.org's page on buying Bitcoin for a list of methods. For beginner Bitcoin users, yiff.party recommends using an escrow service such as LocalBitcoins.

Welcome to Spooky's world, Flyboy. It's a lot more Humphrey Bogart than George Reeves. (With a bit of John Constantine sprinkled on top, of course.)

Please note: These are work-in-progress colors. Vero should get me the final colors soon.

We are now just $54 away from unlocking a special, fully nude pin-up for all Patrons!

Some time ago, I commissioned a special, fully nude pin-up of Kyle and Anaado by artist superstar, Travis Moore. And I've been dying to share it with you.

As you know, this comic is my full-time job and I need to bring in $7,000/month pre-tax to pay for our professional artists and keep this comic going, as well as pay for those taxes and my basic living expenses. If I'm not at that level of support, I'm burning through savings, which I've been doing for a while now.

I originally set this reward at $6,500/month, but it's become clear that until I'm able to bring in more readers, we're not going to hit that number anytime soon, and I don't want to keep Travis' awesome work from you any longer. It's just too gorgeous. I want you to have it.

We're now at $5,546 in support, and I've just moved this Milestone Goal to $5,500, only $54 away. If we hit that amount, I will make this pin-up available for download by all Patrons during the following month. After that, it will continue to be available for $5+ Patrons to download anytime, along with the 62 safe-for-work andfive other fully nude Milestone pin-upsthey can currently download right now. ($10+ Patrons get to download an additional 17 NSFW pin-ups and they'll get to download a high-res version of this one as well when it's posted!)

I am deeply committed to continuing The Young Protectors story, and I wouldn't be able to do that without the continuous support of our awesome Patrons, the Woolfpack. I've already released a beautiful (and safe for work) pin-up of Flyboy and Corycreated by Travis. Hopefully, y'all will love this gorgeous new(and fully nude!) pin-up of Kyle and Anaado as much as I do!

Please let me know if you have any questions! And thank you as always for your interest and support in my work! :D

NEW PATRON THANK YOUS

The only reason I’m able to keep making The Young Protectors is because of the very generous support of readers like you on Patreon. And we had a bunch of new folks sign up over the last few days! So, please join me in sending out a very special thank you and welcome to the new members of the Woolfpack this week!

Chazzam, FallenFrance, Kimithecat, Jun P. and Elliott R.

Thank you so much for your amazing support, Chazzam, FallenFrance, Kimithecat, Jun and Elliott!

And let’s also please thank totally awesome readers who were already Patrons, but who upped their pledge this week:

JT R.

(Thank you so much, JT!)

Thank you all so much for your amazing support! You and the other members of the Woolfpack are all the real superheroes of this comic!

So!

So! We finally get to see what a day (or night!) in the life of Spooky Jones was like before he joined The Young Protectors!

Who is this mysterious woman? What’s happened to her brother? How will Spooky do playing his role of “hard-boiled gumshoe”? And is he still just as eager to kick this beautiful lady to the curb now that he’s seen her in the flesh?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

Same here, like the last one. I bet it starts working for me later, like before. I don't think it's there yet; I checked the community URL Alex posted the previous time, and it only lists through page 15. There's no page 16 link that I see.
user avatar
alexwoolfson - 15 Jan 20 19:33
Hey Kendall, Sorry about that. Thinking it was just a temporary problem, I probably just linked directly to page 15 last time. (The URL on my community site stays consistent when a preview page becomes a published page..) If you go the the Sneak Preview Pages category URL instead, you'll always be able to find the current Preview Page: https://community.amwcomics.com/c/sneak-preview-pages/12 Hope that helps! Could you describe the issue accessing the preview more to me? I had assumed this was related to the bugs Patreon was experiencing over the weekend (and it might still be), but I want to run this by the Patreon plugin developers. Thanks!

I'm having problems, too. The same ones that other people are having... the link to the penciled preview won't take me to it, and I can go to the voting page but the vote button won't work.

I just tried the preview link and it worked this time; I didn't even have to click "allow" this time (my browser was still open from last night). So methinks it's fixed now! The vote button worked for me last night, so I don't know about that, though.

Thank you for the heads up, everyone. And thank you KendallPB for letting us know that things seems to be improved, if not fixed completely. I did a little research. It seems like the Patreon site is having issues. Hopefully they've now got it fixed, but if you ever can't access the Preview Page on my site, you can always find it on The Young Protectors Community site: https://community.amwcomics.com/c/sneak-preview-pages/12 It also seems like at least some people are able to respond to the polls. It might be an intermittent problem. Hopefully they'll get it all fixed soon. Hope that helps! And thank you again for the heads up!

I really want Mitch and Spooky-from-the-present to have a conversation after Mitch returns to his hometime along the lines of Mitch: "I met younger you!" Spooky: "Oh, good, I can talk about that now. I figured it would be soon, you're about the right age." Mitch: "You... I... what?" Spooky: "Well, I mean, I was there; I remember meeting you then, but I haven't mentioned it to avoid creating a causal loop. But now that the meeting is in both of our pasts it's safe to talk about." Mitch: "You seem remarkably casual about that." Spooky: "Yeah, well. It's not really all that uncommon for me."

I only got to check the mails and everything today and when I wanted to go to the preview page my browser told me it can't connect to the website and shows a "database error". I also tried to type the link in manually, but it didn't work either. Is it just me? Or do others also have trouble reaching the website? It's not just the preview page site but all of https://webcomics.yaoi911.com/

So!

So! I guess Spooky likes flying with Flyboy. I know I sure love the expressions that Adam gave our young heroes in Panel 2. Perfectly nailed what each one was feeling, both big emotions (Spooky: super-thrilled, ever overwhelmed) and subtle (Flyboy: surprised by the big reaction, but clearly pleased to have impressed his long-time mentor so much). And then we have hugging!

Would you let Spooky hug you?

What do you think these crazy kids will do next?

Tune in next Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Y’ALL!

I'm really glad you like the page, Goodyear! And thank you for the warm wishes. I had a very nice time with my fiancé over Christmas (Xmas Eve is actually our anniversary), so it was a special time. I hope that you are having happy holidays as well! :)

Awww, happy belated anniversary to you both, then! I'm glad to hear your holidays were good. Mine were, too, and I'm excited for the new decade! (and all the new TYP pages it will bring!)

Love it! Mitch has a "field effect" so he and what he carries is not affected by the wind?

ANNIVERSARY PATRON THANK YOUS

It’s my great pleasure to send out another, very special Woolfpack anniversary “thank you!” to the superheroes of this comic who have been supporting our work month after month!

First let me thank a pack member who has been supporting our work for the last 12 months as of this week (Dec 15-21):

Rose W.

(You totally rock, Rose!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to a member of the Woolfpack who has been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

This the awesome reader who has been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Dec 15-21):

Martin H.

Thank you so much, Martin! Y’all are so awesome!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! Flyboy sees a way to fix everything! Or, at least, to get back to his own time, and maybe even to where Cory is at. But which “gal” is he talking about? What guy? And in what way would he be better than lie-flat seats on a private jet?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

That's a bit funny; as I'm reading the page, I noticed my cursor is sitting over the artwork in the "hand" status instead of the usual arrow, and the index finger is stuck up Spooky's nose! LOL LOL I suppose it could be somewhere worse... :D

I had to look it up: From King James Bible, Psalms 8:2: "Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength." Below that the wiktionary says it means: From the comments of children, who are honest and innocent. This expression is sometimes used as a stand-alone phrase, with the implied completion "comes truth or wisdom", and sometimes this expression is actually followed by words of that kind.
user avatar
alexwoolfson - 11 Dec 19 02:41
Thank you for looking up that context, camelotcrusade! It's a phrase I've heard fairly often, but I wasn't sure where it came from. :)

User #942156 - 10 Dec 19 06:29
READ, Spooky! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
user avatar
User #90714 - 8 Dec 19 04:55
Thanks camelotcrusade! I always assumed it was a shortened form of some old homily like: "Out of the mouths of babes comes the truth that no one else is willing to say". Cool to know the actual derivation. And thanks Alex and the art team! I love your work, always, but this page is an immediate favorite. That sixth panel where he throws her stuff back at her warms my heart and makes me laugh all at once. But every panel contains a little something in Spooky's monologue to poke a little and give me joy. :)

So!

So! Not a lot of respect from these agents of ExSec for Young Spooky! But it looks like this isn’t his first rodeo, and even as a teen, he’s full of surprises.

Will he be able to change their opinion of him? Or will he get ahead of his skis and give away Flyboy’s existence?

So! Spooky’s on board with keeping Flyboy on the down low! But those are some fierce-looking heroes he’s supposed to lie to. I get the impression they don’t react well to dishonesty. Will Spooky really be able to get them to “buzz off”? If he’s not, what will they do to Flyboy? And is Tom with them?

Like the change in the last panel. Much more effective. And we do want to know, Who is Tom? If Spooky is that interested in him, we're interested in him.
user avatar
alexwoolfson - 4 Dec 19 02:32
Glad you like that change, QueBijoux! And yes, Agent Tom Hastings played a role in one of the short stories, "Choices." (You can find links to Spooky's short stories here: http://amwcomics.com/patreon-rewards/ )

Hum. I checked it out repeatedly. At first "click", it gives you a small panel, with repeated "clicks" the panel enlarges. I had no idea. Color it in the "duh" column maybe? Not sure.
user avatar
alexwoolfson - 7 Dec 19 01:07
Understood. If you continue to run into issues, please let Patreon support know so they can get it fixed. :)
user avatar
User #569350 - 30 Nov 19 21:08
I see there is a scene change or two from the pencils. The "magnify" link still gives you a smaller page. Lol. Mirror universe much?

Sorry to hear you are still having that issue, William. If it's not too much trouble, could you please reach out to Patreon support about it? Squeaky wheels tend to get these things fixed.
Thank you 2019-11-28T19:55:05+00:00

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Of course today is mostly about the tasty food and good company, but I wanted to reach out and also let you know how grateful I am to each and every one of you. My patrons. The awesome members of the Woolfpack.

I know I've said this before, but it really is true that I couldn't make these comics without you. Your continued support enables me to pay for our awesome artists, and work on these stories full time. In addition, the good vibes you send me in the comments (and the live streams!) help me more than you could ever know.

There wouldn't be any Young Protectors stories without you. And there's not a single day that I don't think about that.

Just as important, that you continue to support me, month after month, enables me to plan for even more high-quality comics with gay heroes the future—like Fallen! In the recent poll, over 97% of you let me know that you really enjoyed Gabriel Mayorga's art, and your response in the comments (and especially in direct messages) have let me know that you really would like to see more of Cory's story. A lot more. And I've heard you loud and clear!

Since I got your feedback, I’ve been hard at work finishing the script for the entire first chapter of Fallen, and I honestly think it's one of the most fun things I've ever written. There is romance, action, and lots and lots of humor. I'm literally laughing out loud on every page as I review it. It feels like I'm going back to my roots about what got me into wanting to create comics in the first place. And that feels like a real gift to me.

I simply can't wait to share the next pages of Cory and the Shepherd's story with you. I'm not sure when that will happen, because I currently can't afford to post two comics at the same time, but I know I will find a way sometime in 2020. Hopefully early in 2020. It's your support that gives me the time to work on a side story like this, while still posting two pages a week of our main story. It's you.

You are truly the real superheroes of these comics. Today, you are what I'm grateful for. And I hope that you are spending this day with great food and people you love.

More soon :-)

Alex

ANNIVERSARY PATRON THANK YOUS

It’s my great pleasure to send out another, very special Woolfpack anniversary “thank you!” to the superheroes of this comic who have been supporting our work month after month!

First let me thank a pack member who has been supporting our work for the last 12 months as of this week (Nov 24-30):

Allison M.

(You totally rock, Allison!)

I’d like to send out a big thank you to members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting our work for 24 months of this week (Nov 24-30):

Paul B. and Hillary I.

(Two years of support! Thank you so much, Paul and Hillary!)

And a heroic thank you as well as for a Woolfpack member who has been supporting our work for 36 months of this week (Nov 24-30):

Brenden H.

(Three years of support! Thank you so much, Brenden!)

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! Flyboy has come clean about the whole “I’m from the future!” situation. Didn’t see that coming! And now he’s asked for a very tall order from a guy who apparently doesn’t know him at all.

How will Flyboy possibly convince Young Spooky to help him? And if he can’t, what will he do?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

ANNIVERSARY PATRON THANK YOUS

It’s my great pleasure to send out another, very special Woolfpack anniversary “thank you!” to the superheroes of this comic who have been supporting our work month after month!

First let me thank pack members who have been supporting our work for the last 12 months as of this week (Nov 17-23):

Christina C. and Susan G.

(You totally rock, Christina and Susan!)

I’d like to send out a big thank you to members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting our work for 24 months of this week (Nov 17-23):

Andy E., Megan M. and Andrew M.

(Two years of support! Thank you so much, Andy, Megan and Andrew!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to a member of the Woolfpack who has been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

This is the awesome reader who has been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Nov 17-23):

Joe Z.

Thank you so much, Joe! You are so awesome!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! Yay! Spooky’s here!

Flyboy might be a stranger in a strange land, but Spooky is the expert when it comes to strange. And being a superhero. And making everything OK.

So, Flyboy’s going to be totally ok now, right? Right?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

Branwen_13, Support, Matt C., Andre G., and Leo S.

Thank you all so much for your amazing support! You and the other members of the Woolfpack are all the real superheroes of this comic!

So!

So! Cory has been swept off his feet by a handsome shepherd! But where is the shepherd taking him? And once he gets there, what’s he going to do to him? And how is Cory ever going to get back home?

Ordinarily I’d say tune in this Saturday to find out, but this was just a teaser of an arc I’d like to create for you. Something to post while Adam took his break. Once the final colored page is up, I’m going to put up a poll on Patreon to find out if there’s interest in this story continuing.

I know I’d love to make this comic. While it has plenty of action and adventure, Fallen is a romance story first, much like Artifice. It’s getting back to my roots, what got me started writing, and it’s a more purely fun story. But we’ll see what y’all have to say. 🙂

Back to Double-Cross! With Chapter 2!

In the meantime, Adam is back again at work, so I've just posted the first page of Chapter 2 of Double-Cross as a Preview Page for $5+ Patrons. It will be available for everyone to read on Wednesday!

Curious what happens next to Flyboy and where he wound up?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

I had a few technical issues (the battery on my laptop died! yikes!), but it was another great experience with great questions. Huge thanks to everyone who attended!

All patrons can watch a replay of the livestream here:

https://www.crowdcast.io/e/alexwoolfson02/

Want to watch the replay?

If you haven't signed up for this livestream already, then go to the link above and click the big green Watch Replay up top.

Once you are in, you can click on the Ask A Question menu item under the video to see the list of questions.

Just click View Answer to be taken to the point in the video where I answered that question!

These were the questions that got asked and answered:

  • How do you find other artists to take up the pencil/brush when our main artists go on well deserved break? - Adam Irving
  • Up until now we had a bunch of side stories or flashback comics and usually you put them in between TYP chapters. Will this be the norm in the future or is it possible that TYP will be straight ongoing and the other stories might be extras published "on the side"? I was wondering if there'd be a way to keep TYP more consistent in it's publishing rhythm without the breaks, even if I LOVE the side comics :) - bronakopdin
  • When does Engaging the Enemy volume 2 come out in print? - Dave Fragments
  • The first Young Protectors story arc focused on Kyle and this one is on Spooky and Flyboy. Is there a chance we'll get to know other members of the team better in the future? - Adam Irving
  • Which takes more time - line art or colors? - Dave Fragments
  • Oh... funny little question. Will we ever get an explicit/full nudity (sidestory?) scene drawn by Adam? The very few times we had that in the main story, it was by coinsidence always by a guest artists while Adam was on a break. - DanishWolf
  • You mentioned a while back that you were writing some longer prose stories about Spooky. How's the progress on that, and is it something you plan to share chapter by chapter on Patreon (when done) or another way? - DanishWolf
  • Thinking about the plot of TYP: Do you already have some kind of end or final in mind or is it rather that you have a lot of single stories in mind that you want to tell one after the other but without a real wrap up yet? - bronakopdin
  • What do you want to know of the wolfpack? - Niekchen

Thank you so much for your support!

Thank you again to everyone for participating, and to all of you for your support which makes it possible for me to continue making these stories.

More soon! :)

First let me thank pack members who have been supporting our work for the last 12 months as of this week (Oct 20-26):

Welcome to the first page of Fallen

…a side arc of The Young Protectors, featuring Flyboy’s telekinetic friend, Cory Alvarez!

You can talk about this page at The Young Protectors Community here.

Link to preview page (page 2) for $5+ Patrons:

https://webcomics.yaoi911.com/typ4/fallen-ch1-page-2/

This arc follows Cory as he tries to survive in a bizarre and dangerous new world. Cory has no superhero training, and when he’s used his powers in the past, the result have been disastrous. What could possibly go wrong?

(How did he wind up in this place? Read the exciting first chapter of Double-Cross to find out!)

There will of course be lots of action and suspense, as is my way, but there will also be more of a focus on romance. In general, this is meant to be a much lighter, more purely fun arc than the main story. So, if this turns out to be a story y’all are interested in me telling, expect more humor and, eventually, a good amount of kissing.

Linework is by The Young Protectors guest artist, Gabriel Mayorga (who did a bunch of our more popular wallpapers .) And the colors will be by our amazing The Young Protectors production colorist, Veronica Gandini!

Right now I’m just posting up the first 10 pages

As you know, I’m not breaking even right now with the amount of money coming in with this comic, so I currently can’t afford to post two comics at once. But this is a story that I’ve wanted to tell for a while, and when Adam let me know that he wanted a few weeks off, I figured it would be a good chance to give you a little teaser, so you can let me know what you think. These 10 pages are the complete first scene of Chapter One.

Does this story seem interesting to you? What do you think of Gabriel’s art? Let me know in the comments!

I’m not sure how I’d post up the full, multi-chapter arc, if it turns out you do like it. (Alternating chapters with Double-Cross? Making it Patreon-only? Post it after Double-Cross?) But I have the whole thing plotted out, so if there is serious interest for it, I will find a way.

Just let me know. 🙂

Tell me in person!

Or, at least in real-time! You see, I’m hosting my second-ever Q&A Livestream for Patrons on Sun, Oct 27, 2019 at 11:00 AM PDT. You’ll be able to ask me questions and let me know your thoughts directly. (And you can even create questions in advance that you and your fellow readers will vote on for me to answer first!)

I’d like to send out a big thank you to members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting our work for 24 months of this week (Oct 13-19):

Megan, Melly, Maggie B., Bruce D., Gary G., Chris L., Ted L., Glenn M., Luke M., Megan N., J S., Cassandra V., and Adam W.

(Two years of support! Thank you so much, Megan, Melly, Maggie, Bruce, Gary, Chris, Ted, Glenn, Luke, Megan, J, Cassandra, and Adam!)

And a heroic thank you as well as for a Woolfpack member who has been supporting our work for 36 months of this week (Oct 13-19):

Katherine K.

(Three years of support! Thank you so much, Katherine!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to a member of the Woolfpack who has been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

This is the awesome reader who has been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Oct 13-19):

Robert S.

Thank you so much, Robert! You are so awesome!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! Cory has fallen into a whole new world. Did that fall hurt him? What will he find here? And who’s that guy with the spear (and the wings!)

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! 😀

Oh!

And this is the Most Current Page code link for this arc:

Just in case you need it. You can read about how to use it in the FAQ. 🙂

Action, suspense, romance, humor, kissing. Sounds perfect! One assumes Cory will be involved in the romance and kissing, so seeing that play out and then returning (hopefully) to Mitch promises good storytelling. Eager to read more, however you work it out!

END CHAPTER ONE OF DOUBLE-CROSS.

You can talk about this page at The Young Protectors Community here.

The Young Protectors continues with Chapter One of Fallen here.

(Read below for more about that, but basically you'll get to see exactly what happened to Cory, before we return right here in a few weeks for Chapter Two of Double-Cross. The patron-only Sneak Preview of that page is already posted, and the fully colored page will be posted for everyone to read at our usual time on Tuesday night next week!)

Join me and your fellow readers for my second-ever livestream!

So!

So! Flyboy is devastated because he could not save his friend and mentor, Spooky Jones, who he just saw get stabbed by an evil (and undead) magic user. But it seems like he managed to save somebody, and that somebody looks a lot like Spooky Jones! What is going on here?!

We're going to find out in Chapter Two!

Special Announcement

But first, Adam has requested a few weeks off, so in the meantime, I'm going to be posting the first scene from another comic I'm working on with guest line artist, Gabriel Mayorga. You'll be able to read more about it on the first page of that comic, but the scene I'm posting is ten pages long, the arc is called Fallen, and it shows you exactly what happened to Cory. (And then, after I post those ten pages, I'll post the first page of Chapter Two of Double-Cross, right here!)

Curious what happened to Cory? Here's the link to the first page of Fallen which will go live for everyone to read on Tuesday, October 15th at our usual time.

Q&A Livestream scheduled for Sunday, Oct 27th at 11 AM PST 2019-10-10T22:06:37+00:00

Howdy y'all!

The votes are in and we have a date for my second ever livestream!

Sunday, October 27th at 11 AM PST. (Which would be 2:00 P.M. in New York and 8:00 P.M. in Berlin.)

This is for Patrons only and you can sign up for it right now at:

https://www.crowdcast.io/e/alexwoolfson02

Just click Save My Spot on that landing page to sign in with Patreon.

Get Your Questions Answered!

Once you've reserved your spot, you'll be able to click the Ask A Question link at the bottom of the event page to come up with questions for me to answer (and vote up the questions from fellow Patrons.)

There were awesome questions last time, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. I'm happy to answer questions about the story, my process, future plans, whatever interests you!

Crowdcast also has a chat feature so I'll be able to interact with y'all live that way too during the livestream. (You'll also be able to interact with each other that way too!)

Do I need special software?

Nope. You can just use your regular browser—if you've reserved a spot, the video will just show up at that URL. Supposedly it works best in Chrome (I noticed a slight delay in Safari on my MacBook), but any browser will work.

The only limitation seems to be Safari on iPhone. You'll be able to watch the live video fine, but I think there might be an issue with chat. They do have a free iPhone app that works great, though, that lets you use all the livestream features on your iPhone/iPad.

What if you can't make it to the livestream?

No worries. Crowdcast immediately creates a replay video once the livestream is over at the same URL. You should still click Save My Spot—you'll get notified when that replay video is available and you can watch it when you have time.

I can't wait to hang out with y'all! And I'll have questions for you too!

The last livestream was a really great experience. I was able to invite readers up "on the stage" with me to share the screen. Great questions, lots of laughs. It was just a really fun time all around.

And the livestream also gives me a chance to check in with y'all about the work I'm creating and the direction I'm going with it. Ultimately, I want to make comics that delight you. And the best way for me to make decisions for the future direction of The Young Protectors and anything else I make is by talking to y'all, the true members of the Woolfpack, directly.

So, if you're able to come, even for a short bit, please stop by and let's hang out!

See you Sunday, October 27, 2019 at 11 am PST!

Can someone please tell me what just happened?!

Woah, Flyboy used his flying and speed as a weapon against the zombies, cutting a couple in two! Wow! :-D You really have to read DEAD MOON by Peter Clines, Alex! I recommend the audiobook.

And a heroic thank you as well as for a Woolfpack member who hasbeen supporting our work for 36 months of this week (Sep 22-28):

Michaela H.

(Three years of support! Thank you so much, Michaela!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to a member of the Woolfpack who has been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

This is the awesome reader who has been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Sep 22-28):

Devon

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! The Gate disappeared before Flyboy could go through, so he slammed into the ground instead. (Ouch!) Does that mean Cory is lost forever?! (Or at least, dinosaur chow?) And what's caught Flyboy's attention in the last panel?

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! :D

Shouldn't Flyboy have taken some major hit points from that impact? He was moving pretty damn fast when the portal winked out... does he have any modifiers to his ability to take damage? I was pretty sure his superpowers just had to do with his flying ability. Not that I WANT Flyboy to be injured... just wondering.
user avatar
User #4970094 - 25 Sep 19 15:35
I think he has super senses, but the "personal flight" super power has to come with a few others like resistance to friction/cold/low oxygen or you die/fall from the sky.

Flyboy is quite robust when he is flying. At least against physical trauma.

It is supposed to be Oregon, although this is an alternate universe so things won't exactly track. The dates on the tombstones represent the style of clothing Adam is going for here -- late 19th and early 20th centuries.

ANNIVERSARY PATRON THANK YOUS

It’s my great pleasure to send out another, very special Woolfpack anniversary “thank you!” to the superheroes of this comic who have been supporting our work month after month!

I’d like to send out a big thank you to members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting our work for 24 months of this week (Aug 25-31):

TrooperSJP, TWG, Alexander B., Rich B., Kiva C., Dora D., Amber K., R. N., Garrett R., and Helen T.

(Two years of support! Thank you so much, TrooperSJP, TWG, Alexander, Rich, Kiva, Dora, Amber, R., Garrett, and Helen!)

And a heroic thank you as well as for Woolfpack members who have been supporting our work for 36 months of this week (Aug 25-31):

GayComicGeek, James and Michał

(Three years of support! Thank you so much, GayComicGeek, James and Michał!)

And let me also send out my biggest howl to those members of the Woolfpack who have been supporting this comic and our work from the very beginning!

These are the awesome readers who have been supporting me and this comic for 48 months (4 years!) as of this week (Aug 25-31):

Axoto, cpez, RelwarcTheMighty, Sarah, Audrey B., Ben S., and Craig S.

Thank you so much, Axoto, cpez, RelwarcTheMighty, Sarah, Audrey, Ben, and Craig! Y’all are so awesome!

Thank you all so much for your amazing, ongoing support! It’s the consistent support that is what really allows me to continue making this comic. You all truly are superheroes!

So!

So! Spooky has finally found the Sphere Celestial! But The Platinum Priestess found it first! And now it’s broke! And things are getting wild!

Was The Platinum Priestess really going to do bad things for the greater good? Now that she’s been thwarted, how will she channel her anger towards Spooky? What will Spooky do if the Sphere is damaged beyond repair? Are those Gates flying around dangerous? (And don’t they look awesome?!)

Tune in this Saturday to find out! Hope to see you there! :D

I tend to believe her. Repairing the walls between worlds is in her best interests so yes, she wants to do it.
user avatar
User #142817 - 29 Aug 19 15:08
Yeah, but at the very least she wants to do it in a way that amasses unreasonable power for herself, and I don't trust her to try to find the loopholes that'll cause the least amount of damage.

alexwoolfson - 31 Aug 19 02:10
Not trusting The Platinum Priestess is wise. :)

With The Platinum Priestess, that sounds like a very real possibility.

Lots of cool details in this one. There are naughty types by the car I noticed. At least I suspect they are naughty types. It could always be the cavalry arriving.

they're the kids Mitch saved most likely...

Great detail adding the kids over by the car. I noticed there were people there but didn't connect the dots at first
user avatar
alexwoolfson - 27 Aug 19 20:47
It's important to know that they are safe, both because they are vulnerable kids, and also because of all the hard work Cory and Flyboy put into saving them!

An Announcement

As many of you know, I’m hoping to increase our readership by starting a big advertising push soon. So, I’ve been working behind the scenes to try to make this site more friendly to new readers.

I’m working to clean up our FAQ, creating a special landing page for new readers, and a bunch of other things.

And, after checking in with some long-time readers, I’ve decided to unpublish the blacked-out, censored versions of Legendary: Chapters One and Two.

Why did you decide to unpublish the blacked-out, censored version of Legendary on this site?

I removed those pages because I was getting emails and confusion from new readers. Unlike an experienced readers, I’ve found most new readers don’t bother to read my notes under the pages. So, I was getting questions and complaints about why the art style had changed so drastically from what they were seeing in “Engaging the Enemy.” And why the pages were suddenly full of blacked-out sections.

And then, of course, the bulk of my work is not explicit at all, so having a bunch of pages that felt like porn—blacked-out porn, no less—right after new readers finished the first arc ofThe Young Protectorswas creating the wrong impression. It was a bad look. People who might love what followed wouldn’t actually continue with the story.

There are currently over 700 pages of comics on this site. And it’s important that new readers have a good, clear experience so they (hopefully!) become long-time readers. So, I started working on ways to make the flow of this sitemore friendly to new readers.

That’s still a work-in-progress, but so far, I’ve cleaned up some menus, turned the SFW “Legendary: Chapter 3” into its own standalone comic called “Spooky Jones: Past Sins.” And I’ve unpublished the censored first two chapters of Legendary, and replaced them with a summary.

But what if I want to see those censored pages and their comments?

Originally, I had figured that since long-time readers had already read those pages well over a year ago, that they wouldn’t be missed. But I received a few concerns from readers about this, and since it’s clear there is interest, I decided to make those blacked-out pages available again for long-time readers on a separate site, since y’all already understand that Adam had requested a break so I was doing something very different withLegendary. And by hosting those original censored chapters on a different site, there shouldn’t be any confusion for new readers.

OK. So they aren’t really gone. Where can I find those blacked-out pages?

You can find the blacked-out, censored version of Legendary: Chapters 1 and 2 here.

I can see the comic pages on the Archives Site, but I don’t see any comments.

Yeah. I know. Disqus is being ornery. I’m working with their support right now to get the comments to show. Stay tuned.

What about “Legendary: Chapter 3”?

It’s still here on the main site. I’ve just renamed it “Spooky Jones: Past Sins” so it can be it’s own “standalone comic.” It doesn’t actually have any 18+ content in it, and this way folks who aren’t into the sexy stuff won’t be scared off from enjoying aYoung Protectors story. (And one I’m very proud of.)

I’ve also included a Summary of the Legendary story right before it, so readers who don’t want to read a sexy comic can get caught up on the plot stuff.

You can read that Summary here.

And you can read Spooky Jones: Past Sins here.

What’s next?

I’m still working on that landing page. I’ve published over 700 pages of comics on this site, so it would be good to give new readers a one-page overview and guide.

And I’d like to include some full-page directions at the end of each comic about what they should read next. I often get questions about that. And some readers get to the end of “Engaging the Enemy” and don’t know that there is more to The Young Protectors story.

Um, have you lost your mind?

Maybe. :)

The truth is, since Project Wonderful went down (almost two years ago), I haven’t been advertising our work, and so we haven’t really been bringing in new readers. And we need to if this comic is going to continue.

While I’ve been working on ways to promote this site to new readers, I’ve been faced with the daunting task of how to make over 700 pages of work here accessible, easy to follow and not overwhelming. What I’m doing now is my best stab at it. I’ve gotten some feedback from the members of the Woolfpack on Patreon about what I should do, but maybe there’s a better way. Or things I can do in addition to make sure that folks who would love our comics actually read enough pages to be able to love them.

As always, let me know your thoughts

Please share your thoughts in the comments. Nothing is written in stone. And if you’ve read this far into one of my notes, you’re clearly one of my most dedicated readers.

If you think keeping a bunch of blacked-out, sexy pages on this site is the best look for new readers, you can tell me. If you think I should add or change something to the Summary I made, you can let me know that too. Or anything else you think might help.

Let me know how you think I should let readers like you know that these comics are for them. As always, I’m listening. And I trust y’all. :)

So!

Enough with past comics! Let’s focus on what’s happening here!

So! Seeing Mitch hurt has pushed Cory beyond the breaking point. And now he’s unleashing his full power. And the last time he did that, it nearly ripped apart a city.

Will this be a good thing? Or a bad thing? And will anyone live through it?

Tune in this Wednesday to find out! Hope to see you there! :D
