Something I dashed off really quick last night for Kodi Kat, who was looking for a sketchy icon for their kid. =3
We hope you enjoy using it. yiff.party operates on a non-profit basis, and as such, all the server expenses are paid by our users. We don't want to run ads or infect you with crypto miners. We depend on users like you to keep the site running, and to preserve years and terabytes of amazing content—some of which is no longer available from its original creators!
Because of the nature of the site, many users are reluctant to donate. That's OK! yiff.party was created so everyone can enjoy the content we host without any restrictions or paywalls. But if you value the service we provide, and are able to, we—and our users—would be tremendously grateful if you considered making a donation.
So far, approximately $116.32 has been raised out of our target of $250.00. We're about 47% of the way there! Please note: this tracker is updated manually—don't worry if your donation doesn't show up immediately!
yiff.party's server costs are due on the last day of each month. So, we need to meet this goal before 29 February!
At this time, yiff.party can only accept donations in numerous cryptocurrencies. Please select a currency below to display the relevant donation address.
Due to the nature of sites like yiff.party, it is very difficult to find payment processors who will accept clients like us. If we were to accept donations via PayPal, it wouldn't take more than a day for someone to submit an abuse report and get our account frozen. Until a viable way of accepting monetary donations becomes available, cryptocurrency will remain the only option.
There are many resources available on how to purchase crypto. For Bitcoin, check out bitcoin.org's page on buying Bitcoin for a list of methods. For beginner Bitcoin users, yiff.party recommends using an escrow service such as LocalBitcoins.

Saw the neurologist this morning, and now I have appointments for THREE different MRIs and a lumbar puncture. Wheee!
She said my optic nerves didn't look too bad today, but that we definitely need to do MRIs and a spinal tap to rule out the possibility of a brain mass or an infection. So hopefully I'll know more in a couple of weeks.
So... that's gonna be fun. At least I have the MRIs all scheduled for the same day, so I'll be able to get them done in one go. Trying not to stress too much over stuff.
Apologies if I'm useless for a bit. I had to put down one of my cats today, and I'm not in a great head space. She was old and sick, so it wasn't entirely unexpected, but it still hurts. I'll miss her yelling and stomping and headbutts. She didn't start out our cat. We took her in when my brother in law had to move and couldn't keep her in his new place. But we had her and loved her for twelve years, and she was a good cat.
The holidays have been super hectic, so I wanted to take a moment to share some pics of the Osechi Ryori meal I put together for New Years. This time of year always means food and friends for me, and I’m grateful to have made it through with the support of folks who care. Here’s hoping for peace and progress in the new year ahead of us! ❤️
Had a much smaller set of MFF sales this year since I wasn't offering take home commissions, but on the upside, no additional homework and I didn't destroy my arm this year! Here are the pics I completed at the con. =3
The older I get, the more it seems like this stupid meat suit wants to fall apart on me. x_x
Okay, so the GOOD news is that the Radial Tunnel I've struggled with most of the year is much improved. I still have to be careful, but my hand/wrist/arm aren't burning and tingling all the time.
The BAD news is that I have a problem with my eyes, and we don't know the root cause yet. Papilledema is a fancy name for swelling around the optic nerves because there's too much fluid where there shouldn't be, which is messing with my vision. As of right now, it's not severe, and we don't know yet if it's permanent, but it's progressive, which means it'll get worse unless the root cause is found and dealt with. My eye doctor has me taking a diuretic to try and lower the fluid pressure overall. Thus far my right eye's gotten a little better, but the left is still getting worse.
Now she wants me to make an appointment with a neurologist, who will likely want to do an MRI and possibly a spinal tap. There's a possibility that my HRT is the cause. That would be the "easy" answer, if only because that's a medication where my dosage can be adjusted. It could also be an infection or a brain lesion or a brain tumor, or 'idiopathic', which means "we dunno". I'm... not super pleased about any of those possibilities. My head hurts and I'm tired, and the diuretic makes my extremities go pins and needles because it sucks out all my potassium. Not really looking forward to more rounds of testing either.
In any case, just wanted to give an update that I'm not dead. Struggling with new and "fun" health issues, but still kicking.
Finished the custom tea commission for Lilli! I can have things direct shipped, but I have a bunch of other stuff to send to her, so I went ahead and ordered a sample tin so I can see how the art comes out before I send everything her way. =3
I don't know if I jumped in and did too much, too fast, or if it was just the effects of the cortisone shot wearing off, but my pain is back. x_x So now I have to call my doctor and make an appointment for another shot. I just hope it works better than the previous one. I can't keep limping along with a couple of mostly-okay weeks only to get slammed with pain again. I'm really tired of feeling like my hand and arm are sunk in acid.
The two SFW commissions I finished the other day, now properly scanned and cleaned up! I'll make a separate post for the other piece in a bit here. =3
Had a follow up appointment with my doctor today, which was less helpful than I'd have liked. We're discontinuing physical therapy because if anything it's actually making things WORSE, not better. Got a cortisone shot in my arm today, so now it's also angry when I rotate my wrist! x_x I've also been ordered basically not to use my arm for the next two weeks, and follow up again in four weeks.
There's roughly a 50-80% chance it'll work and clear things up. I am... trying not to let this discourage me. It really, really sucks because I WANT to draw but my arm feels like it's full of bees. I'm actually trying some left handed doodles, with mixed results. The knowledge is there, but the muscle memory and control aren't. Have confirmed that my handwriting is terrible no matter which hand I use, though.
Or so the doctor says. He thinks it might be radial tunnel syndrome (RTS) based on my symptoms. Feels like I have most of my forearm dunked in a bucket of ice water or mild acid most of the time. My pain tolerance is so high it’s hard to get a clear diagnosis, though. I’m too used to just pushing through, especially when something aches rather then spikes.
I have a new brace and an appointment for therapy to try and get the pain levels down. New brace is a lot stiffer than my previous one, so I’m relearning how to use my hand yet again.
I don’t have a timeline for recovery yet. First therapy appointment is next Tuesday. I’m supposed to see them a couple times a week for the next 6 weeks. If it doesn’t work, we may have to try cortisone shots or something along those lines. Bleh.
Hey folks! Apologies for the radio silence, but it’s been a wild few days and I’m only just starting to feel like we’ve got things under control again. We started off our trip by catching a painfully early morning flight to Miami. That part went fine, but ten minutes off the plane we got a call from my mom-in-law, who we were planning to meet down here. Her plane arrived the same time as ours, but somehow she managed to break her ankle IN FLIGHT on the way here. O_o;;
We’re still not entirely sure how she broke it, but she’s nearly 80 and she loves to be fashionable. She walked the entire terminal in wedge heeled sandals, and I suspect those were the culprits. She told us she started to feel ill on the plane, and her foot was twisted when she went to stand up and go to the restroom, so I suspect that’s when the ankle bones went. In any case, after starting off the trip by being awake for 24 hrs, we spent the next 10 hrs in the emergency room with her. I’m still catching up on sleep debt from that, lol.
The ER was kind enough to let us borrow a wheelchair until we could get one of our own for her, and the past two days have largely been spent on adapting and changing our plans to accommodate for the broken ankle. It’s meant swapping rental cars for something we can put the wheelchair in and cancelling some of our stay down here. Changing our flights out in order to help her home was going to be ridiculous and painfully expensive, so now we’ll be road tripping from Florida to New Jersey in order to get mom-in-law back home. Then we’ll be staying there a few days to help her adjust and hopefully get her to surgery. There’s a possibility I might have to stay with her longer while Rissa goes back to work, then fly home by myself later.
It’s been... an Adventure would be generous. Closer to a Clusterfuck, really. I’m trying to at least relax a little in the couple of days we’ve got down here. Really glad we have a room with a small kitchen and laundry built in, which is making life easier at the moment. In any case, this is definitely not how our vacation was supposed to go. XDD
Just wanted to give folks an update. I’ve been too brain dead to do much of anything but sit on the balcony and watch the ocean, but at least it’s pretty.
I spent a few years working as a professional picture framer, and it's still something I enjoy. =3 The process can be a bit of a mystery to folks (especially more complex stuff like fabrics) so I recorded myself while I prepped this piece today. No sound in this video, it's just the sped-up footage from several hours of work. The cross stitch itself was made by my friend Lilliana.
Just a little fun thing I put together for my friend Pez. =3
Still working on art stuff! I have some sketches to post in a bit here, but I want to see if I can get a little more done before I do. Losing my oldest cat has been rough, and I'm coping as well as I can. I'm still sad, but I feel a little less devastated than I did even a week ago. I don't know that you ever fully 'get over' losing a beloved pet, but the sting does fade.
My sweet boy is gone, and I am shattered. He was the best kitty and he tried so hard. We had a little hope because he'd rallied a bit and started eating again earlier last week, but the past 48 hours he went downhill fast. He was my baby for 14.5 years, and I miss him. I'm just glad he's not hurting anymore. ;_;
Woo, I get to share art I helped make for Canvas Swap Issue 4! The cover art is by Oli Snowpaw, and the three interior pieces were sketched, inked and colored collaboratively by myself, Inkpaws, and Flinters. Folks interested in PDF copies of the zine itself can find them here: https://cszine.com/store/
And I do have a small number of physical zines as well, though I haven't set up a storefront for selling stuff like that yet.
First pic was sketched by me, inked by Flinters, and colored by Inkpaws
Second pic was sketched by Inkpaws, inked by me, and colored by Flinters
And finally, third piece was sketched by Flinters, inked by Inkpaws, and colored by me
I think I'm about 95% over this last stupid cold. I'm down to the lingering cough that sounds like death phase, heh. Was going to pick up streaming again after the holidays, but I'd just blow out the mic in my current state, so holding off until that's under control. Got some coloring done, finally! Colored sketch commission for Phoex from my MFF homework list.
I’m currently fighting off my THIRD head cold this winter, and this is the worst one yet. It’s knocked me for a loop and killed my productivity for the moment. I’m hoping to get back to arting once I‘m not a snot monster and coughing up a lung anymore. X_x
Inazuma couldn’t make it to the New Years party we went to, and it’s their birthday, so I made them art so they could be with us anyway. The background is the carpet in this hotel meeting room, lol. XDD
Digital commission for Tree-san of Mei and Zanny dressed up, which is something they almost never do, lol. And yes, Mei is wearing Katra’s suit from the Princess Prom episode of She-ra.
This year hasn’t been my most productive by a long shot, but I did manage to scrape together 12 pieces I like from the work I managed to finish. =)
Little gift for Tree-san I doodled up the other night. =3
My scanner’s a bit buried at the moment, but made some progress today and got this colored! It’s not a terrible snap as photos go, lol.
Digital ref sheet of Lacy for Fatinuyasha, which took me entirely too long to finish. This one was designed both to showcase the character and as a bit of a progression as she aged. Normally I'd do shading on stuff like this, but apparently that's frowned upon for ref sheets, so she's just flat colors. Photo backgrounds are creative commons use images courtesy of pexels.com
I know where i’ll Be sitting ahead of time this year! I’m a staff artist for MFF, so i’ll Be at the same table all weekend. =)
Yellow tables are artist marketplace and white are the regular artist alley, aside from the staff artists.
Trying something new with a digital price sheet for the con this year. Some of my examples are pre-existing pieces I’ve done, but I wanted a couple new ones for sketches. The blank space was for pricing text, and the whole thing is a slide show that plays on a screen at my table.
...the energy right out of me, heh.
I wanted to be so much more active (here and elsewhere) than I have been, but this year has felt like a constant struggle to keep my head above the water. Thank you all for being patient with me. It means more than you can imagine.
I don’t usually talk politics in my art spaces, since that’s not what folks are following those for, and I don’t want to get into stuff too heavy here. I do want to say there’s an election coming up shortly in the US, and it’s entirely possible my life and the lives of many friends may depend on the outcome in the next couple years. And that weighs on me. A lot. It’s really hard to focus on anything creative when you’re afraid if you don’t keep up with the news, you won’t know what rights and protections you’re losing this week. x.x
If you’re in the US and able, I would really appreciate if you‘d vote. It’s about the only way left to make a difference.
I don’t know how things will turn out. I’m a hope for the best and plan for the worst sort of person. All I really want to do is make art, and it’s killing me how hard that’s been lately. I do have a couple WIPs to share, and I’ll be doing that in a follow up post here in a couple minutes, but I felt like I had to say something first.
Thanks for sticking with me, guys, and for taking a moment to listen to my anxieties. I’ll try and get back to arting more as I’m able.
Digital commission for Tree-san using one of the photos I snapped at the Chicago Botanical Gardens earlier this year as a background.
My friend Wielder posted this sketch yesterday, and I asked if I could color it! =3 It's amazing how nice it feels to take a break and color someone else's line art. The sketch was a commission for Chaser617, and he also gave permission for it to be colored. Characters belong to him.
Copic marker conbadge for Atma I did over the weekend. She needed something for an upcoming convention and couldn't find any of her existing badges.
Digital commission for Bren. =3
Apologies for the quiet this week. I’ve been fighting off the UTI that will not quit and it’s draining me. X_x Kicked off last week with that, and a couple other unrelated medical related appointments, but the infection decided it’s not done with me, so back I go again today.
I’m exhausted and frustrated and trying not to take it out on anyone, but it’s killed my productivity for the moment and made me feel like crap. I’m trying to get it sorted out, and hopefully round two will kill the damn thing.
In the meantime, here’s a pic of Dusty being adorable.
Quickie doodle thing because I saw a crazy caterpillar pic last night, and it looked like a sideways six legged fox critter made of space. I rotated it to this orientation.
Tweet I got it from:
Little piece of fan art I made for Flonters because he loves kangaroos and picks on me for drawing circles behind things. =3 digital inks, colored with my cheapo set of travel markers.
You guys voted on this one for June, so here it is finished! I changed out the background for a different pic I snapped that fit the scene a little better. =3 Random fox dude is enchanted by the tiny garden fae that’s settled on his hand.
Not new art, but I got creative last night. =3
Hey guys! Werewolves Vs. Fashion is up for preorder, and I have art in it (sketch level patrons got to see some of the earlier stages)!
It’s PWYW, but if you preorder for at least $1, you also get a pile of bonus images!
Commission for Fatinuyasha, of his characters reacting to Nathan's visit with shock and surprise. This is part of an ongoing story he's working on.
Woogh, FINALLY finished another commission for Fatinuyasha. It's been awhile in the making, but I'm pretty happy with how it came out. =)
I really like my little tip jar pic, so I'm experimenting with putting other characters in bottles, lol. Borrowed my friend Ina's snep to try it out!
Just wanted to let everybody know I've added coloring pages as a pledge tier. In addition to the other rewards, the coloring page tier includes access to a new zip file of five high res PDFs each month. Some of them are older pieces of line art, and some are new, but each one will be different. =) They're designed to be printable, or can be used in graphics programs for digital coloring.
Thanks so much for voting, guys! =3
