This story was requested by John Giss who is the first of my 10 dollar tier patreon's to take advantage of their ability to request a story from me. His idea was that following the events of the Arrowverse that Dr. Deegan's superman powers would end up with Felicity. I honestly believe that this is just part one of a much larger story.
Oliver and Felicity’s lips separated but they continued to hold each other in an embrace that neither seemed willing to break as they lay beneath the sheets of their bed. The two stared into each other's eyes before kissing again.
It had been a very long series of days since Oliver, Barry, Kara and others had gone about the business of stopping Deegan from literally rewriting reality. So Felicity and Oliver were very happy to just enjoy each other's company.
Soon though the embrace was becoming awkward especially as the arm that Felicity was using to prop herself up on her side was losing feeling and falling asleep. “Oliver it’s not that this isn’t wonderful but my arm” she joked as she gave him one last peck on the nose before she broke the embrace. She shuffled under the sheets and rolled over onto her back.
She sat up on the edge of their shared bed, her bare back exposed to Oliver who traced her spine with a fingertip. Felicity shivered at the sensation as goosebumps covered her arms. The temptation to stay in bed with her husband was very strong.
Yet she rose from the bed and slipped on a pair of black yoga pants in one flawless motion as a woman who had perfected such things over a long period of time. She looked back over her shoulder as she exited the room. She winked at Oliver as she put her hair up in her trademark ponytail before turning and walking out of the room biting her lip as she did so.
Oliver didn’t have to ask where his wife was going; he knew she would be heading back to HQ to continue collecting data from tests she had been running on the arrow Oliver had used to stop Deegan from continuing to use the Book of Destiny.
Oliver had to admit that Felicity was being bulldogish about the testing of the arrow. He was pretty sure whatever magic the Monitor had infused into the projectile had slipped away once it had completed its task.
But he figured what could it hurt for her to continue testing the used up missile? None that he could see and so he drifted back into a slumber just as he heard his wife say “see you soon.”
Felicity buzzed around the lab area of the Team Arrow HQ where she was beginning to run lots of new scans and tests of the death nail of the Book of Destiny.
She of course was sending her already collected data to Cisco in Central City. Felicity knew that the crew at Star Labs would be able to help break down data more effectively than she would alone and also since there was more collective brain power there than almost anywhere else on their earth it seemed like a great plan.
Within moments of sending the first bits of the data she got a call from Cisco that she put up on screen so as to see his face without straining her eyes as much.
“Look I know you guys are Team Flash but wow that was quick” she quipped with a sly little smile.
Cisco though didn’t look to be in a jovial mood though as he quickly responded “Felicity just what are you sending us? I thought you were sending us some data from tests you have been running on the Oliver’s Basilisk Fang of an arrow and instead I’m getting terabytes of Kryptonian glyphs. I can’t make sense of any of it and it’s threatening to overload our systems.”
The smile on Felicity’s face fell away quickly as she grew very concerned. “Show me” she said as she sat down at the monitor and scooted in close.
Cisco turned his camera toward the streaming data before sharing the incoming results with Felicity on a separate screen. She was shocked to say the least. She put her thumb nail between her teeth as she began to think over the problem.
“This doesn’t make any sense” she finally said.
“Yeah no chiz” Cisco responded.
The two looked at each other through their screens as Felicity cracked a smile at Cisco’s use of the word chiz.
“I don’t want to hear it,” he said before Felicity could start. “It’s not like you don’t have your own little fandoms that surface from time to time.
“Hey I didn’t say anything Cisco” Felicity said before getting back to the business at hand. “So all of this is just streaming out of the arrow?”
“Well it’s not coming from the air” Cisco quipped back.
“Ok well thanks for the info. This just got a whole lot more interesting. You have any idea what any of this stuff means” questioned Felicity?
“Gee let me pull out my Kyrptonian to English translator. I know I put that thing somewhere” Cisco said as he patted his chest and pants pockets mocking as though he might have one on him. “Oh wait no I don’t because one it’s literally a dead language and two we don’t actually have a Krypton in this universe.” He paused for a minute before shaking his head and adding “at least I don’t think we do. But honestly who knows anymore.”
Felicity smiled at her friend and nodded her head “yeah I get it, but maybe Barry can reach out to Kara and see if she might be able to make sense out of this.”
“Yeah maybe but if I were you Felicity I think I’d lock that thing up in a lead lined box and bury it until we know more about what is coming off of it” Cisco said.
Without hesitation Felicity agreed “absolutely 100 percent.” The two friends then disconnected from their communication on their agreement.
Felicity was a bit spooked no doubt. The arrow itself wasn’t Kryptonian; she knew that to be fact. “It is known” she whispered to herself as she walked slowly toward the arrow that sat peacefully on her testing rig.
As she placed her fingertips on the arrows shaft she felt it slightly vibrating. “Something is seriously wrong here” she said as she moved back across the lab area with the arrow in hand.
Suddenly the lights in the lair flickered and Felicity looked around quickly but noticed the arrow in her hand growing warmer as it continued to vibrate more and more. She looked down at her hands and that it was glowing and that the arrow tip was glowing almost white hot.
She went to throw it down to the ground and move away from it but as she did so there was an explosion with enough force in it to knock Felicity down.
Down on the ground and shaken Felicity continued to back away. Scooting across the floor on her butt. Her vision started to blur. “Well this can’t be good” she said as she felt her strength drain from her body. She bumped her head on the hard floor as she collapsed totally to the floor.
“Felicity wake up” Oliver said as he placed his hand on Felicity's shoulder in an attempt to shake her awake. Almost as if on cue Felicity began to rouse.
She started trying to sit up and she noticed that nearly the entire team was there around her. “What happened” she asked weakly as she continued to get sat upright?
“Yeah we were hoping you could tell us” Oliver said softly.
“Oh thank God” Curtis said as he walked around a corner. “I really didn’t want to have to explain to paramedics why she was in a secret lair.”
Marcus punched Curtis in the arm. “Dude ain’t nobody calling 911 down here now calm down.”
“I was just running tests on the arrow and” Felicity broke off as she was trying to piece together the last moments before she woke up on the floor. “There were some really strange results coming in on the arrow. I talked with Cisco.”
She tried to raise herself up but Oliver put a little weight behind his hand on her shoulder as he looked into her eyes “take it easy Felicity. No need to try and get up so quickly.”
Felicity looked up at Oliver and a smile broke out across her face. She was reminded why she loved him. “It's ok Oliver but I feel a lot better now.”
Oliver smiled back at his bride and replied “Maybe but let us check you out before you rush back to your feet.”
Despite his reassuring words she was pretty sure she was done with being on the floor so she got up anyway even as Oliver tried to keep her down at first. It was a strange feeling to Felicity as it was almost as if the force Oliver used meant nothing to her. She shrugged it off though because he obviously had to have stopped trying to keep her on the ground pretty quickly once she started to get up.
“Really Oliver I’m fine” Felicity said once she was back upright and on her feet. What's more is that she even meant it. She felt better than she had ever felt. She planted a small peck on his cheek as she walked past him.
She felt warm inside from the kiss and the obvious affection that her husband felt for her. She felt really warm inside. She knew something was amiss as she turned back toward Oliver and the crew just as a blast of white hot exploded forth from her pupils and blasted across their HQ slicing through computers, steel, and glass. Cutting equipment and uniforms apart with laser type focus.
“Oh my God” she screamed as she quickly threw her hands up over her eyes and blinked rapidly trying to make whatever was happening to her stop.
Oliver rushed to her side but she recoiled at the touch of someone that she couldn’t see with her hands over her eyes. Right up until she blinked again and she could suddenly see through her hands, through Oliver, through the crew, and even the walls of the HQ.
She pulled her hands away from her eyes and looked around with this new vision and waved her hands in front of her face. “Wow this is so trippy.”
“What is” Oliver said with concern dripping from his voice.
“I can see through all of you,” Felicity said.
“What the hell is happening” Oliver demanded aloud from no one in particular.
Curtis slyly smiled as he walked forward slowly raising his hand as though he was going to answer a question in class. “I think I know,” he said.
Everyone in the room turned to him waiting for him to provide an answer that would make some kind of sense.
“Well isn’t obvious” he stated pausing for a moment letting the tension in the room mount up even more being oblivious to the idea that not everyone else in the room had figured out the answer yet.
“She’s got abilities far beyond those of mortal men” he said again pausing to dramatic affect.
Oliver and Felicity looked on at him dumbfounded as Marcus punched him in the arm “come on man what the hell are you talking about.”
“It’s simple guys she’s got the same powers as Superman slash Supergirl” he finally said. “The heat vision is kind of a dead give away. The real question is why does she have these powers.”
Oliver and Felicity’s eyes immediately met as they mouthed “Deegan.”
Lila, Diggle, and Oliver all watched on in amazement as tiny little Felicity easily lifted thousands of pounds of weight inside of one of the Argus off the books facilities. Curtis giggled nearby as he recorded data.
“Ok John I think we have proven that she’s strong” Oliver said as he turned away from Felicity’s weight lighting.
“Oliver man she’s more than just strong. She’s invulnerable. Nothing can pierce her skin, she can fly, she can lift pretty much anything on the damn planet man. Not to mention she can fly faster than a speeding.”
Oliver cut off his best friend “yeah yeah I get it she impressive, but I still don’t want her in the field.”
Diggle gave his friend some side eye as Lila walked away from the two men without saying a word.
“Why the hell not man. She’s made everything we do obsolete” John said in rebuttal.
“Because John these powers were taken from Dee gan and so who knows how corrupted they are or how corrupted they will make Felicity. It’s very important that we find a way to get these powers out of her” Oliver said very intensely.
“Argus is working on that along with Star Labs but honestly Oliver who knows if they can ever do that with the book of destiny destroyed. Science and magic are not always compatible. Besides what if she doesn’t want to give these powers up? It’s not like we can make her.” John paused as he looked toward where Lila was walking Felicity through some hand to hand training. “Oliver you know Felicity, is there anyone better suited for these types of abilities than her? She’s already been working with us for years so she understands the rules and what it is that we are trying to do.”
Oliver grunted lowly but didn’t have a lot of choice other than to agree. “ I still don’t like it John. What if she gets”
This time John cut Oliver off “ gets what man? Hurt? Come on you’ve seen these powers in action and that was on worlds where they have counter measures. Here though man Felicity is unlike anything these perps and bad guys have seen or dealt with before. She’s going to roll over these idiots like a steamroller moving at light speed.”
Oliver looked away from John and over toward Felicity. He forced a smile across his face as he looked over as his bride as a cold chill ran up his spine. Felicity smiled back easily and gave a thumbs up before she said “Promise me no skirts and no capes.”
Oliver nodded in agreement before he turned back to and replied to John. “John, she scares me and she should scare the hell out of you too!”
