I'm planning to put this on 3 week hiatus now that Vol. 2.5 is complete (well, in a short while it will be) - but wait before you spirit bomb me.
During the 3 weeks, I will build up chapters to increase release frequency for the series as of next month (May). I have 2 reasons for this.
1. It saves a lot of time when I'm not constantly interrupting myself to switch from translator mode to editing mode to spending time posting then back and forth. We all know proofreading right after you finish is fairly ineffective.
2. So that I can increase frequency and maintain frequency. As part of the plan to sustain that, I will offer advanced chapters for it, as well, obviously not with the volume for Son-con, since there's no way I'd produce that much in a single month, lol.
I believe I'm entitled to run two separate patreons each - without compromising either series, of course.
Think of it this way: I will be doing the work of 2 translators. Instead of thinking of me as 1 individual, you could think of me as having cloned myself.
As an example, MGA's translator does 14 chapters per week, makes over 2x what my average earning is and is translating full time.
I'm part time, releasing over 14 chapters per week at a fraction of what he earns. Mind you, I'm keeping it value-oriented not time-oriented. So, this would be a case of me releasing, I don't know, 25 chapters per week in total. Heck, depending on how things go, it could go up to 30 per week in total. Depending on what you read, this would be around 3-4 releases per day.
Question: What happens to the chapters lost during the 3 weeks?
Answer: They will be mass released next month, a total of 6, plus a few more on top as part of said mass release. This will also save you from cliff-kun. Plus, release frequency will increase. In essence, nothing is lost.
Question: What about Son-con?
Answer: Not affected. I am only increasing my output, not reducing it.
