Hello! Thank you for using yiff.party!

We hope you enjoy using it. yiff.party operates on a non-profit basis, and as such, all the server expenses are paid by our users. We don't want to run ads or infect you with crypto miners. We depend on users like you to keep the site running, and to preserve years and terabytes of amazing content—some of which is no longer available from its original creators!

Because of the nature of the site, many users are reluctant to donate. That's OK! yiff.party was created so everyone can enjoy the content we host without any restrictions or paywalls. But if you value the service we provide, and are able to, we—and our users—would be tremendously grateful if you considered making a donation.

Donation progress for February 2020

So far, approximately $116.32 has been raised out of our target of $250.00. We're about 47% of the way there! Please note: this tracker is updated manually—don't worry if your donation doesn't show up immediately!

yiff.party's server costs are due on the last day of each month. So, we need to meet this goal before 29 February!

How to donate?

At this time, yiff.party can only accept donations in numerous cryptocurrencies. Please select a currency below to display the relevant donation address.

Bitcoin (BTC)
Bitcoin Cash (BCH)
Ethereum (ETH)
Ethereum Classic (ETC)
Litecoin (LTC)
Why can't I donate through other means (eg. PayPal)?

Due to the nature of sites like yiff.party, it is very difficult to find payment processors who will accept clients like us. If we were to accept donations via PayPal, it wouldn't take more than a day for someone to submit an abuse report and get our account frozen. Until a viable way of accepting monetary donations becomes available, cryptocurrency will remain the only option.

There are many resources available on how to purchase crypto. For Bitcoin, check out bitcoin.org's page on buying Bitcoin for a list of methods. For beginner Bitcoin users, yiff.party recommends using an escrow service such as LocalBitcoins.

Cammy and Adam dissect last nights defeat to Kilmarnock and assess the current mood in the camp regarding the players and what can be done to get things back on track. The boys also look towards Saturdays game to Livingston, and hopefully getting the right response to our current slump.

Morelos was racially abused at a throw in on 28th min by kilmarnock fans, denied a stonewall penalty, denied a stonewall handball, denied a clear goal, attempted murder on morelos, continious ref blunders every game time to pack up and sign up to a new league and leave this s***hole of a league and authorities who cover it all up and say its nothing.

User #14652663 - 13 Feb 20 18:39
The Morelos lob was just weird. No idea why he didn’t just dink it. Plus his diving around and running into people is absolutely infuriating. But can’t be too critical - we’d be absolutely fucked without him this season because the rest of the attackers aren’t really much use.

Just a wee heads up btw. The Ayrshire trains aren’t off tomorrow, they are running as normal this week, it’s the following two Saturdays that there’s a replacement bus service. Just a small detail, but worth mentioning👍

Absolutly delighted todays business more so we kept Morelos! Tav and Barasic Kent and Jones. I'm sure Kamberi will make an immediate impact guess who his last goal was against? yes the sheep! He scores regularly and knows scottish football is tall for ariel battles along with Katic and Goldson will be dynimite. He has power and can score outside the box give him 1/1 and he likley puts it away. Shame on defoe we really need him at the most important time of the season I hope it doesn't cost us and makes a speedy recovery. Haji jr will take a bit of time maybe like barasic as its a new culture and he is not a physical player, but has the skill.

Kamberi’s interview on RTV was a laugh. ‘My second game for hibs was at ibrox and I told my agent straight after the game that I wanted to play for Rangers’. Questionable footballing ability but impressive levels of hubris

User #8642750 - 31 Jan 20 18:04
Can Hagi play in Europe?
user avatar
User #9154281 - 31 Jan 20 17:30
Really excited about the Hagi signing. Neither Jones or Barker are suited to the number ten position - they're wingers and the management knew that when they signed him - but Hagi is definitely a good option in that position, and Greg Stewart is someone that can play there as well as deputise as a backup striker. Hagi and Kamberi in, Stewart coming back - our options in the final third have definitely been bolstered.
user avatar
User #12601469 - 31 Jan 20 17:25
Fully agree with Cammy, very proud of Borna. We know how difficult it is to turn opinion at Ibrox, seems very humble and it's a joy to see him smiling with his team mates. Nobody likes to see someone struggling to find their feet the way he was. All credit to him. Hagi just gives you the tingles.

So.... yes we're STILL talking about the game on the 29th, we're still talking about big bad Rangers and big bully rangers players. What are we NOT talking about? We're not talking about yet another abuse case, we're not talking about millions falling off their share prices/value, we're not talking about the champions of scotland - unopposed, untested and over rated for the last 8 years - getting a tanking from a club they tried and failed to kill. They really do run rings round us in the PR game and I for one would love to see some serious investment in this area because I'm fed up seeing it left to fans groups to fight our corner.

Yes sometimes a statement comes out that impresses, sometimes less so. Other times, they don't comment at all. At the end of the day I feel Stewart Robertson's instincts are too conciliatory. He needs to listen to what's been said on here for some time now - there is no 'middle way'. They want us dead and buried by any means possible. That's what we're up against.
user avatar
User #26976696 - 21 Jan 20 17:38
Unfortunately I don’t think Jones is good enough and not suited to playing for us. 95% of the time we are playing against a team with 10 men behind the ball & don’t think he’s got the skill to take players on and beat them. He’s ok to run in behind defences on the break but how often does that happen
user avatar
User #13229758 - 21 Jan 20 08:02
Actual LOLs at Hoggy reciting nutty O’Rourke 🙈🤣
user avatar
User #13998449 - 21 Jan 20 07:34
I watched the nutty professor the other night. There was a great bit in it when that are all sitting having dinner and the old grannie started talking about all the relations she had when she was young. Professor plump was sitting with his new girlfriend ( Janet Jackson) and clearly embarrassed he was waving his hand at his throat to say, be quiet, stop, shut up etc. Maybe the SFA should watch it

The O'Rourke comments were brilliant Hoggy, honest to god I might need to google that post myself, can't say I've spoken to many sellic fans who didn't say we didn't deserve to win both that game or the final but they still do appear to take in guff from hartson and Sutton about gestures, they do genuinely believe they had darker meaning but Kent thinks he's a rapper, even his dress sense tells u that and Morelos head down walking off telling both bench and camera and yeah maybe to them also that the games done while getting racist abuse shouted at him which they have done nothing about horrible club!!!
user avatar
User #8641124 - 21 Jan 20 11:55
Great show again guys. I really wanted Jordan Jones to succeed but Mr G’s body language the other night seemed to suggest he’d written him off. The O’Rourke stuff ....hilarious. Well done everyone.

Spoke to a clown on twitter who claims they are up against it and the SFA are trying to stop them from getting 9 in a row and it's gonna be a huge injustice because of the corrupt SFA, my reply was "yes the SFA are a joke but conspiracy how? Your still top of the league you've won the last 10 trophies in a row and you've won the last 8 league titles, if the SFA are trying to stop you don't you think they would've done a long time ago?" the clown couldn't answer me.

More Joe updates in future please. Tiresome as the meltdown is it could be worse, they could be questioning their manager’s tactics or wondering why so far this transfer window they have spent £5m on two players who baring injuries or suspensions won’t play. The one thing you can say with absolute certainty is that when we finally do win 55 they will finally wake up to the reality it is squarely the fault of their board for blowing all the advantages they have had.

User #19456090 - 20 Jan 20 23:22
The thing is - it will be seen as historic to us, but not more widely. It won't be seen in the same comical light as Keegan's Newcastle being overcome by Fergie's Man U. It will ensure much lamentation throughout the land. There will be an even more marked difference between how the Scottish and English media report on it.

Blubbering mess listening to this. My old man was going to games then but wasn't old enough in my Gans eyes to attend so he wasn't in attendance.... hearing the tales from those who were there is harrowing. I was left outside Ibrox for Coppers testimonial as a 10 year old boy and that was the closest I've been to a crushing incident and it was scariest thing ever, my mind just isn't able to take in what horror these poor people went through. Here's to absent friends. We will never forget you. Rangers forever

Listening to this during my lunchtime, walking around Sydney CBD. Close to tears hearing those names. A beautiful tribute, lads.
user avatar
User #11525990 - 3 Jan 20 08:15
Agree with all the comments above. I listened this morning and this was so well put together and presented by you both. I can’t imagine how difficult it would have been to present the tribute but very professional and heartfelt. Similar to Ian, my dad was meant to be at the game but didn’t manage to make it. I was born in 68 but things could have been so different. We shall never forget what happened that day as a ‘family’. Well done for giving it the respect it deserves.
user avatar
User #8646050 - 2 Jan 20 17:44
Well done.
user avatar
User #11176191 - 2 Jan 20 21:37
I listened to it last year and again this. It’s probably the best pod the team have created. The way such a horrible tragedy was discussed so delicately and respectfully had more than one tear rearing it’s head. Well done lads. As a side question, and I should read the book, but why would 1/3 of the stadium be exiting down one exit point?
user avatar
User #8602093 - 2 Jan 20 22:41
Because the terracing has 3 or 4 exit points. For 3 sides of the ground. The corners were the main exit points for 70,000 fans.

User #8652794 - 2 Jan 20 16:32

Thanks for this pod guys. Very emotional but what a tribute. I didn't listen when it was originally done as I knew how hard it would be to hear. I'm glad I did now. They shall never be forgotten❤️❤️❤️❤️
user avatar
User #26945909 - 3 Jan 20 17:11
Very hard listen but very important that it should be listened to. I will admit to getting emotional at the first hand experiences especially the first. My father was at the game with his mates but arrived later than normal and stood further up the terrace than normal. He said he didn't touch the stairs on the way down and when the lad said about seeing folk going home as if nothing happened because they didn't know it could well have been my Dad. He didn't know anything was wrong until he got back to the pub in Hurlford.

User #8649610 - 2 Jan 20 18:05
I put this on while working thinking about a historical show like the Titanic or 911 that you take in but never have any real cause to be upset. However, after the first recollection of events I had to go sit down and take a minute. I was born in 1973 so it was only a memory growing up and not talked about at all by my family. However, my grandfather and others around him were avid Rangers fans and if they weren't in attendance, they certainly would have been devastated by it and it's no wonder now why I never really knew the full story until now. I remember as a young boy that my grandfather never went to the Rangers games even though my mother talks about how he even went the day she was born! Can't help thinking perhaps it changed things enough that maybe the safety and comfort of home and family was now more appealing. It's a really touching tribute, and a fitting remembrance.
user avatar
User #12569046 - 2 Jan 20 14:54
Well put together and respectfully done lads. A very difficult listen, but a fitting tribute to the brothers and sisters of the Rangers Family that never went home that day. May they rest in peace.

Your bite size chunk of H&H is here with Cammy Bell and Martyn Ramsay reviewing the railroading of Ross County in a Ryan Jack masterclass, plus the lesser sighted Craig Levein leaves Tynecastle (sort of) just prior to our trip to Hampden on Sunday to face the Jambos in the semi-final.

Does anyone think arfield has personal stuff going on? Hence drop in form? He was on twitter the other week saying he was taking a break till next year.

I took that more that he'd been vanity searching and didn't like what he saw! Could be anything right enough.

I think it's high time these shadowy individuals Mike Lee and Paul Myers ('our executive producers in London' indeed) are unmasked. Have they ever shopped in a Sports Direct or House of Fraser? :-)

Colin is joined this week by Patron Callum McKenzie who has the best seat at Ibrox… next to Colin.

Callum wanted to talk about one of his favourite Rangers - Neil Alexander

Rather than looking at individual saves, Callum gave us moments of success Rangers had with Neil in goals and put forward the argument that Neil is our best ever backup keeper. As always on Moments the music of the times is discussed so expect to hear some MGMT, Hot Chip, Owl City and more…

What are your thoughts on Neil Alexander? Where do you place him in terms of our back up keepers?Let us know in the comments.

Cracking pod as usual mate. The club you probably went to in East Kilbride is called 'Downtown'. I live in East Kilbride and it's still every bit as shite as you said but it's a feature of most Saturday nights and many a Rangers victory has been supplemented by a celebratory night in downtown with me and my mates. Wouldn't change it for the world

No idea how you manage to bring such a variety of interviewers to the table Steven. Another great listen just like all the others you’ve done over the last 6 months or so.

Fascinating interview, I can only think back to my youth and how much better I could have been if we weren’t all terrified of being bollocked by the coaches for making a mistake.

90 mins of Candeis toil resulting in a 0-0 (see St J at home last year) or (potentially) 1 moment of Ojo magic resulting in a 1-0 win. No harm to Daniel but I know which I prefer.

User #9228248 - 27 Sep 19 11:09
Re: Ojo, wingers are often inconsistent unless it’s the top level of player, plus the fact he’s on loan and here to be inconsistent and make the mistakes here rather than at his parent club. You’re never getting the finished article in on loan and we need to accept that’s where we are when taking in loans.
user avatar
User #8694474 - 28 Sep 19 09:35
Love the “super positive” 5-0 prediction Cammy, suspect it’ll be nearer James’2-0, fingers and toes crossed.

user avatar
User #8640341 - 26 Sep 19 21:32
Good show chaps. The thing that concerns me more than Ojo’s end product is how he slows down when he gets 1v1 in transition more often than not.
user avatar
User #8652877 - 27 Sep 19 11:31
Ojo drives me bonkers tbh and in some games I’ve wanted shot of him at the soonest opportunity. That said, he’s scoring goals and assists but it’s all a bit Money Ball for my liking - he could end up with 15-20 goals this season and yet I might end up disliking him completely if we don’t win anything! You can see why he’s been brought in, he’s getting the goals we’ve been crying out for. I suppose it makes life more interesting and he’s better than Grezda.
user avatar
User #10729215 - 27 Sep 19 13:30
Liverpool sent Ojo to us for a reason. Our coaching staff will improve him.
user avatar
User #9044438 - 27 Sep 19 08:03
Ojo needs a bit more time to find his feet for sure, but at 22 years old with 100 games under his belt, he's not exactly an inexperienced kid. Willing to accept frustrating performances with moments of quality, but he's going to need to stop passing up chances like he did the other night.
user avatar
User #8641906 - 26 Sep 19 22:26
"conservative with a small c", good of James to clarify that incase anyone mixed up Aberdeen's likely playing style on Saturday with a political party. 😀

user avatar
User #13092817 - 26 Sep 19 23:00
I am happier seeing Ojo trying things than others just going missing. How long we giving Arfield the tired excuse before he’s getting his inconsistency called out? Never seen a player smile so much at missing easy chances than he does.
user avatar
User #9242803 - 26 Sep 19 23:45
Sorry Cammy, McInnes won’t be doing anything else than ‘sitting in’. It’s all he knows
user avatar
User #8737399 - 27 Sep 19 18:31
Shits n giggles? Only kidding. I think he’s exactly what we need. Last season we lacked a match winner and that’s what he is. He might go missing for periods but is liable to hit us a winner as proved v Feyenoord.

Our Rangers Players #26 - Fernando Ricksen 2019-09-20T18:00:02+00:00close

Welcome to episode twenty six of Our Rangers Players.

This week saw the sad passing of one of the most courageous and warrior-like Rangers to have lived.

A rollercoaster Rangers and footballing career - highest of highs and lowest of lows. And a title winning Rangers captain.

A flawed character, like all of us, who made mistakes but got up and fought back time and again.....and fought to the bitter end.

Join Hoggy to walk through the exceptional life and times of Fernando Ricksen.

My thanks to Stuart James of the Guardian - worth reading both:

A magnificent testimonial to Fernando. I knew I’d struggle to listen to it so did so as I went for a run. Running with tears in my eyes isn’t easy but I can blame the wind. MND is bloody horrible. Nando fought it like the warrior he was. Hoggy you’ve done Our great fighter proud.

Szoboszlai scored for Salzburg so I'm delighted. In fact all three Hungarian players (Szoboszlai, Gulacsi and Orban) who played this evening were a part of winning sides. You love to see it. Like David Marshall I watched the Dortmund vs Barca match in the evening and truth be told it didn't feel like a 0-0 match. Dortmund dominated the 2nd half. Barca are a shadow of a team without Messi in the side. Only positive was De Jong looked better when he switched to the Busquets role midway through the 2nd half. Griezmann faded too quickly and Suarez looks off it at the moment. A lot of the debate around whether signing Neymar back would be a good or bad decision before the end of the window just looks silly now. He walks into that team in my opinion. They lacked that cutting edge, both Suarez and Griezmann rely a lot on positioning to get goal chances. Without Messi they lack any sort of guile. I thought they suffered when Alba came off injured as well. Dortmund to me still look like a style over substance type team, they seem to flip between high scoring games to games they just cannot find a cutting edge in. Hummels looks an inspired signing for them though. He could see them over the line in the Bundesliga this year. I also watched the Inter vs Slavia match. I think Slavia will take points off a few teams in this group to be honest. Putting my neck on the line with this but Slavia are very much playing like a team who have very little to lose and therefore the fear isn't there. I also must say, I don't think playing in an empty San Siro in the early evening helped Inter at all. They looked flat and as the Pod Overlord alluded to already something does appear to be missing. I thought Lautaro Martinez looked lively in the early spells of the game but wasn't helped by his team mates playing like they'd all just woke up from a nap prior to kick off. Maybe just me, I'm conflicted on the whole early kick off times in the Champions League, that game didn't feel like a Champions League tie to me. It's nice being able to watch two matches in one night but the early kick off, something feels weird about it and especially so when it's still daylight. Maybe that will change now the dark nights are drawing in.

I thought Hummels dominated the Dortmund v Barca game last night, like the Hummels of old

A welcome return for the show James. I watched second half of Inter and then Napoli/Liverpool. Agreed with David on Leipzig. Couldn't see past them last night and also fancy them for the group. Werner is on fire right now. Five goals in 4 Bundesliga matches so far so chucked a fiver on him last night.

I was watching Shane Lowry at the Open at Hoylake when he shot a 71 in the 3rd round I think, which could’ve easily been a 61. He has some temper on him and I fear that a couple of bad breaks against him could set him off. He got cited at hoylake that year for foul language on the 18th when his drive rolled into the rough and he smashed his driver into the tee 3 times whilst effing and jeffin very loudly! We all thought it was actually quite funny to see a pro show their emotions just like a normal punter. Just hope he keeps it together this time. Anyway great analysis and commentary again. Cheers

Nice one. Unreal the amount of folk (mainly non bears I may add) writing him off saying he's wasted his career moving to the Ted's. As a yound Scottish talent, looking forward to see him settle and build up his game time. Jealously, jealousy I says.

Thanks for your support guys. I’m very positive about this and thankful that I made that initial GP visit in early November. The doctors appreciate that it’s not an easy thing to do and they’ve been great with me. I’m hoping that by highlighting this to the H&H family and sharing with others that we can make guys think, take the steps I did to detect it early enough and treat it. If we can help one bloke then it will be a success. There’s lots of information available on prostate cancer: https://www.prostatecanceruk.org/prostate-information/about-prostate-cancer/prostate-cancer-symptoms Thanks again.

Also 56 nearly every night I’m up to loo. When I turned 50 along with the bowel screening, shit on stick test I decided to get my prostrate checked and now I get checked regularly, the doc takes blood samples now, no fingers up the jacksy for a few years now, even if she did it’s not as bad as it’s made out to be. So far no signs of any bother, lucky me. Tom I wish you all the best in your recovery which will be a success and thanks for highlighting this ‘taboo’ subject amongst men.

Absolute joke of a decision. Was it stevie fuckin wonder that watched the footage. This is actual cheating from these corrupt wankers. NO SURRENDER!!!!
user avatar
User #10503647 - 8 Feb 19 19:43
Just simple corruption. I don't know how anyone can look at that incident from the multitude of angles and still say its a red card offence. Media witch hunts work....

Fuckin cunts
user avatar
User #8714339 - 8 Feb 19 19:45
Consistency from the SFA as usual. Nothing for anyone in green and white after there incidents I see. Even disregarding the sweeping under the carpet of Burke’s five. And even if I did agree with the decisions on allan McGregor and Alfie, how is the elbow in the Celtic game or browns tackle not deemed violent conduct?
user avatar
User #8602865 - 8 Feb 19 19:41
Just astonishing this, he would have been as well just stamping on McKenna

Cant say I'm shocked .. fuckin disgusted but not shocked .
user avatar
User #17199849 - 8 Feb 19 19:46
It’s beyond belief that decision ???‍♂️ They bang on about “Retrospective Action” yet choose to ignore certain incidents, it can’t be one rule for some and another rule for others but unfortunately that’s what it seems to be! The SFA is a shambles. The only surprise is I suppose is that it was only 3 and not a 5 game ban they dicks gave him
user avatar
User #3635042 - 8 Feb 19 19:42
Fuck the SFA. Let's go to England. Cheating cunts.

New Tier! 2019-01-31T16:40:58+00:00close

A few of you had suggested a higher tier for those who wish to support us a bit more. It has arrived!

As you may have noticed this week, we’ve invested in new sound equipment which is having a positive effect. We also have a lot more regular contributors than I ever envisaged and I’d like to reward them a bit more. This will enable us to do that while continuing to invest in the output.

So, if you’re loaded or just plain love H&H, here’s a great way to waste a few quid. We’ll treat all Chief Execs like Kings btw. Only fair!

Excellent, as always David! I don't think you could have given a better summary of Stevie G's impact on us. It has been unbelievable. I also agree with what you said regarding his choice of coming to us...he wants to win a title. And whit a title win that will be! It will nullify all that patter aboot him never winning a title as a player. Fer him to achieve 55 will be one of the greatest achievements in british footballing history, especially if it is this season. Stevie G loyal! :)

As a regular listener to TAW I got a nice surprise listening to the Weekender this week. Thought you would stick it up here at some point. I think you have made it abundantly clear to the wider Liverpool audience just how much of an impact our manager has so far and you got across succinctly the point about the pressure involved in this job. Hopefully opened a few eyes of the Reds' supporters to what's actually gone on in the first six months. I'm also really pleased you mentioned the handshake snub as that will hopefully sway one or two fence-sitters. Nice one David.

Came across very well David & everything you said was spot on regarding Steve G. I live just outside Liverpool & the interest in Rangers since Gerrard came to us has really surprised me. Before he got the gig nobody down here really gave a shit about the SPL, they know we’re a big club but they think the league is a joke & it’s hard to argue with them when you see teams like Motherwell play & these plastic pitches like the one at Accies. but now Even wee grannies when they here my accent ask me if i’m a Rangers fan & ask me how he’s doing. The guy is a legend down here & it was a masterstroke bringing him to Rangers.

Right, important stuff first: the hotel is lovely. As for the actual games, Baby Gers have been very impressive! Only a last minute equaliser denied them a win over Bayern Munich, followed by a 3-3 draw with Hertha Berlin. Gers had to beat table-toppers Rapid Vienna in the last match and did so with a great Josh McPake goal.

The guy oozes enthusiasm and that can only be infectious for our youth. Thankfully the decision makers at the club realized when they had someone worth keeping, when many fans just wanted rid. Enjoyed watching all three games today. That interview just topped it off nicely. Good job David.

A hard listen. I now understand my parents concerns as a youngster of 14 years old heading to Ibrox in the mid seventies. Although experiencing the old terracing and the steep stairways it never really hit home until listening to the testimonies of those who were involved. Absolutely horrific to imagine yourself, your loved ones and your fellow supporters being caught up in the circumstances of that fateful day.

God bless them all and well done to the Heart and Hand guys for the content we have been given on an extremely emotive period of our history.

By chance, I just missed out on going to this. I was in the habit of going over on the subway from Merkland Street on Saturdays after working to noon. And I always used stairway 13. Tickets were hard to come by unless a member of a supporters club which I wasn't. Maybe just as well. I do remember the fatality count coming over on the news - it took some believing as it continued to rise. Very sad and tragic day.

Final Call: Xmas Gift for Nearest & Dearest – H&H 12 Month Subscriptions 2018-12-20T09:42:17+00:00close

People - final call for 12 month subscription gifts for your nearest and dearest!

Anyone fancy giving the gift of H&H at Christmas?

As outlined previously, we’ve asked (as have other networks) – but Patreon are not budging on refusal to allow / enable them to take an annual subscription. Mental really.

But, many of you have asked about the possibility, especially to give as Christmas gifts……and who wouldn’t want us coming in your old dear’s ears?!

You guys asked, therefore we have worked out how to offer H&H as a 12 month gift. Basically – get in touch; pay 12 months; I do the rest and you get full transparency:

1. Get in touch with me directly at hoggy@heartandhand.co.uk – we’re willing to administer for Xmas presents of annual subs, I will manage the process and the admin

2. You tell me a) their name and email address; b) the subscription you wish (any of the subs for 12 months); c) the date you wish the subs to go live (some live already)

3. You then send the money (e.g. £23.88 or £47.88 for the £1.99 or £3.99 subs) to a PayPal account (already setup)

4. Therefore you are placing the cash into central PayPal account (for all annual subscriptions) - I do not touch the movement of money

5. I will setup the Patreon account and H&H account and let the person know the username and password on the given date – and tell them to change the password! The email will say who it’s from, you will be copied in and there will be a nice PDF message to include in a card

6. Every month, I will send proof of monthly payment (Patreon will draw the money down normally monthly, but to the gift receiver it’ll look like a 12 month sub) to the person who is sending the gift

7. At the end of 12 months, any money left in PayPal will be divvied up between those requesting the annual subs and returned (likely a few pence only - given the money is taken in dollars + US tax) - but divided equally and returned

8. However 12 months means 12 months. There are no refunds for early cancellations.

This makes the process fully transparent. This does not cost any more than normal (point 7 is important), and you get ongoing confirmation of account status per month.

If the person likes it after 12 months, they switch Paypal accounts (with instructions how to).

Thanks lads. How was it last night? Cold?
user avatar
User #8654381 - 5 Dec 18 17:35
The decision was made early on that we'd be sleeping in the BF concourse because heavy rain was forecast. It was still cold though. I think it dropped to around 3 or 4 degrees. I didn't sleep much at all and I still felt the effects a couple of days later. I feel it's more difficult in the concourse because it's a concrete floor in there. The soup was cream of mushroom btw.

Top Of The Flops - Jonas Thern 2018-11-25T07:59:59+00:00close

Colin is back with his weekly look at players that never quite cut the mustard at Rangers. This week he is joined by Overlord David to discuss the Swedish captain Jonas Thern.

Topics include how good he was before us, how good he was at us, his knee, those wages and getting Gazza on to snuff!

As mentioned you can check out Colin and James’ fundraiser at: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kanye

Thanks. It would be amazing to find out how much more we would have won with a Rosenthal, Thern and Amoruso for the whole 10 season. We have lost some amount of quality players and money over the years. Then you had Prodan, Nerlinger, Rossitter etc

User #8641253 - 26 Nov 18 11:49
I watched pre game training as I worked at the club the previous season. I remember clearly watching Ajax prepare at ibrox in the CL. They came on, warm up and undergo a highly coordinated half pitch of dribbling, passing, sprinting and shooting drills for a solid hour or so. Everything so exacting and structured that had a rhythmic quality to it. Rangers then came out and practised defending set peaces, then into a kick about across the pitch which resulted in some crazy tackles flying in. It was then that you could understand, despite our spending we were far away from competing in Europe.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 26 Nov 18 16:28
Funny you should say that but this season I've been much more impressed with what we do pre match. For years it seemed to be a kick about and a few runs the breadth of the park. There seems to be a plan and purpose to what they do now. Certainly wasn't the case back then.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 27 Nov 18 14:46
Marcus Henriksen?
user avatar
User #8723407 - 25 Nov 18 13:37
That goal against them tho was nearly worth it.Tbf he was a top player before he came to us.
user avatar
heartandhand - 26 Nov 18 01:35
In about 1995 he could genuinely claim to be among the best in the world in his position. If he’d have been fit...it’s a hell of a ‘what might have been’.
user avatar
User #9564894 - 26 Nov 18 20:02
Good episode lads . I can still feel that frustration rise as David outlines that 10iar season. Thern was a remarkable waste of money. Just think what else we could have done with £40k pw
user avatar
User #5174370 - 28 Nov 18 03:44
That 40k a week could have got 2 very good players that might have got us 10. But we can’t play what ifs.

John Greig stood up and did a wee talk & some Q&A and Tern's name came up as his signing was imminent, John gave us the party line about a great signing etc. I recall my mate & I feeling somewhat unconvinced by John's words and demeanour.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 26 Nov 18 16:27
Everyone was over the moon and ecstatic about him signing. Remember he was only 30 or 31 so not exactly ancient. Maybe The Greatest ever Ranger was the only one paying attention at the medical...
user avatar
User #8649183 - 26 Nov 18 16:24
The last couple of TOTF have been brilliant,sadly/gladly it seems there is no shortage of material for it.... apart from that goal I always remember one of the papers having a “Thern in my side” headline that sticks in my head.... great stuff Colin.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 26 Nov 18 16:30
I do love a pun and that headline is great. Thanks for the kind words. Hearing that makes the work we put in worth it. Plenty of material coming up. Michael Ball then Joey Barton for starters.

Hard work not going unnoticed Colin. Love this series buddy. Another success.
user avatar
User #8723407 - 25 Nov 18 21:20
40k a week back then wtf.20 years later I still dont make that a year.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 26 Nov 18 00:09
With inflation it’s the equivalent of £65k a week now. What on earth were we playing at?
user avatar
User #8643404 - 26 Nov 18 01:17
I remember Stensaas (sp?) started off great, he then had a few wobbles, the crowd gave him pelters and his arse just collapsed as did his form and he just shat it being a player at a huge club. I loved Thern but it was glimpses of his class we got, which made it all the more frustrating, Negri is a strange one, he basically was a force of nature then just decided (insert whichever rumour you prefer here) to go in a huff and waste the rest of his time with us being a shadow, i don't get the adoration he gets now from some quarters via his social media outlets, he's not a legend, he's an anomaly!, Wee Gattuso was just great, remember going to a reserve game via the tims and he ran past about three of them during the game doing keepy ups with his head, they just couldn't handle him.

User #8601267 - 27 Nov 18 08:19
as well as the radio advert from mccoist, rangers also phoned season ticket holders and played it as a pre recorded message. I was a student at the time on 6k a year and couldn't afford it but was guilt tripped into buying a ticket. when gothenberg scored at ibrox we threw the towel in - cheers! you could try those tactics to bump up the 3.99 subscribers :-)
user avatar
User #5174370 - 28 Nov 18 03:43
I remember those phone calls. I’m sure we did something similar with Sandy Jardine at some point. A bit cringe really.
user avatar
User #8747385 - 27 Nov 18 13:57
Think David is getting mixed up with Marcus Berg and Markus Rosenberg (neither of which played for Rosenborg) ;-)
user avatar
heartandhand - 27 Nov 18 14:04
Who am I thinking of? They definitely had an attacking mid called Marcus sonething.
user avatar
User #8747385 - 28 Nov 18 12:50
They did have that Marcus Henriksen that went to Hull but he will probably be too young to be the guy you're thinking about mate. You're on to something with the player mind you, but for the life of me I can't think who it was.
user avatar
User #10324526 - 26 Nov 18 11:24
While living in Aberdoom a mate & I got tickets for the game but had to also pay for a prematch lunch in a hotel on Market Street.

User #8751462 - 25 Nov 18 20:03
Colin/David - absolutely superb once again! To my mind, he only played about half a dozen games in 97/98. Was very interesting to hear he actually played 22. Such a pity his goal v the smellies didn’t win us the 10.
user avatar
User #5174370 - 25 Nov 18 21:08
Cheers Steven. It surprised me too. Think it’s because he was so stop start. The 9 games in a row towards the end I think passed us by at the time because our whole world was about ten and nothing else hence not really remember him being about so much at the end of the season.

Rangers History - War Heroes 2018-11-11T12:01:00+00:00close

The Rangers War Effort during both World Wars reached all parts of the globe and encompassed every branch of the Armed Forces. From players being honoured for bravery and service to cigarettes and balls being sent all over the world to keep up the spirits of those engaged in battle, our club was always fully behind those who serve to protect us. Sadly, some of the Rangers family made the ultimate sacrifice. In this pod marking Remembrance weekend, Gary Havlin details some of the deeds done by Rangers players and staff for King and Country.

As you may know, Grant Downie asked us to auction some matchworn Gers tops at live shows for Mental Health Charities. The two shows at Ibrox saw four tops auctioned and £1100 raised. Many thanks to all who took part, Grant and the wonderful Ross Manson for setting it up. We really are the people!

We will hopefully have a couple of raffles with some more shirts coming up so every one has the chance to win one!! Now for the shameless plug if you want to hear more about Grants career and time at Rangers then check out our show 'A View From Behind The Scenes' the last show went up on the 2nd Oct at 7pm! Thanks again!

New Live Show - Kilwinning 13 Oct 2018-09-25T12:29:22+00:00

The Prod-igal son returns! In a very clever move, we’ve been asked to do a show at Kilwinning Orange Lodge on 13 October and I can’t really say no as it’s in walking distance.

With 5 trains an hour to and from Glasgow Central and the venue just five minutes from the station, it’s well worth a trip down the coast. I also don’t need to point out you are in for an utterly staunch evening!

Tickets are £10 and will go on sale Thursday at 1pm to £3.99 tier and 4pm to £1.99 tier.

So if you want to see me on home turf and properly uninhibited, this is your chance!

Won't be able to make it but sounds staunch as fuck. Will it be recorded for Patreons to hear it afterwards or is it a strictly "No Mics, No Cameras please" night? Which, we can all agree, are the best nights!

Brilliant. Takes me back to family house parties in St Joans Cres & Hawthorn Court when I was a kid, and the inevitble punch up when someone wasn't sufficiently staunch. Is the after party at The Vic? ?

They are being clever by only selling “the first batches” so it sells out and creates more demand. Apple do this which the new iPhones all the time whilst there are thousands sitting doing nothing. Doesn’t help the fans who will miss out on round 1 though

Jack is in the Captain's chair with Martyn and David along for the ride as always. This week:

  • Spurs slump
  • Sarri's sartorial slackness
  • Identity crisis

And lots more besides!

Also , was watching Gillette soccer Saturday and I swear this happened , Paul Merson was slaughtering him and I quote “ he’s scored 27 goals in 54 games this season , that’s not good enough these days for a centre forward you’ve got to be screening more averaging more than 1 in 2”

Brilliant. Rangers need to approach his parent club now and try nail him down to a permanent deal with the possibility of a Pre Contract signing in the Jan window. He's exactly the type of player we need for this League and for Europe. He would also be playing in a bigger stage than what he was previously doing.

Who do u see been the most important signing out of the players we have brought in for me it's shagger ?

User #9495382 - 9 Sep 18 15:22
What physical improvements are actually being delivered in and around the stadium? Obviously the memorial and roofing repairs etc are on-going or in hand, but what else. Stupid question but are the council assisting with things like pot holes, broken kerbs on Edmiston Drive? The drive is looking run down as is the internal route around the stadium.

Opinions on umar sadique. Will he cut it at rangers? To me, a return to Roma in January is on the cards
user avatar
User #9211846 - 9 Sep 18 15:27
Who do you think is the best bargain signing of the last 30 years...cost very little for big reward?
user avatar
User #8640178 - 9 Sep 18 15:32
Given the way the main stream media is going and with the rise in popularity of podcasts such as heart and hand can you envisage a day where you are given more access to players or invited to attend press conferences?
user avatar
User #8761838 - 9 Sep 18 15:26
Do you feel that the club is finally going forward and should we concerned at the fuck up with the kit deal and sports direct or is this just a one off mistake?
user avatar
User #8640091 - 9 Sep 18 15:19
Do you think qualifying for the Europa League will help or hinder our chances for 55 this season? Extra revenue and exposure on one hand v Thursday/Sunday fixtures and potential dropped points on the other
user avatar
User #9495382 - 9 Sep 18 15:18
Sorry to ask again lads but the match day experience. How can it be improved i.e. food, music, entertainment (pre & HT)?
user avatar
User #8643480 - 9 Sep 18 15:16
What will it take to get a resolution to the BBC farce? It's obviously been noted down south with Dan Walker tweeting about it so can we expect anything to change soon?
user avatar
User #10005525 - 9 Sep 18 15:18
Who's the biggest lightweight of the group?

User #8641764 - 9 Sep 18 15:28
With the much improved worldwide reach of the club via Social media/YouTube etc ,Do you believe the commercial department is up to the task of attracting larger sponsors & commercial partners! I believe there must be companies worldwide who would want their brand attached but can we approach them & get the deals over the line? Previous examples by the commercial department don’t fill me with confidence, eg banners on stairs, ebel branding still visible on headrests & predominantly rangers associated branding on interview backdrops

With the team and club the way it is right now. What’s it going to take for us to win the league?
user avatar
User #11094660 - 9 Sep 18 15:34
As the team settles down, would you do a 'Advocaat' and strip Tav as captain to allow him to concentrate on his game and give you a option to change RB and give it to Goldson or McGregor who look more natural leaders?
user avatar
User #8641216 - 9 Sep 18 15:27
What do you think our preferred formation will be? And what one works best in your opinion?
user avatar
User #9087740 - 9 Sep 18 15:26
Who do you think the best signing has been so far (value/potential) who do you think has performed the best . What positions do you feel will need strengthened and potential January targets . And who's got the bigger wanger between yous .
user avatar
User #8618476 - 9 Sep 18 15:24
What's the furthest you've ever taken your 'natural bias' for a Rangers player against all available evidence? For example: I still firmly believe when Dorrans comes back he'll be sitting at the top of our midfield scoring and setting up goals for fun but this rock hard belief cannot really be backed up by anything he has done in recent years. Also the inverse, I remember having to grudgingly admit Kenny Miller was quite good. Eventually.

User #9430379 - 9 Sep 18 15:18
Are any of you guys worried that the european games might detract from our performance in the league? Weve already seen more than a few examples of tired players and the effect that has our ability to close out games
user avatar
User #8747957 - 9 Sep 18 15:22
Who do you think will be our best player this season? And do you think we will win the league?

What is your opinion on a possible move from Hampden to Murrayfield? Of course, there may be an announcement by the time you record.
user avatar
User #10948685 - 9 Sep 18 15:21
You’ve sold out the ibrox suite...how long until there’s 50,000 strong watching a live show? Seriously though with Ryan Jack being booed by a crowd at Hampden as well as pittodrie...should we genuinely consider not allowing our players to be called up to the Scotland squad if this is how they’re going to be treated?
Ibrox Live Show Sold Out 2018-09-05T20:39:26+00:00

Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, we are incredibly grateful to all of you!

For those who missed out, we're very sorry but we will speak to Rangers to see if we can set up another ASAP.
