There is it. We extensively tested this update, making sure we have a solid basis for our future builds.

This version addsmainly two quests:

- The first involves Samara, some time after she tells her ship adventure story, but before the campfire scene that was featured in the last update. Rest at Nathan inn to trigger this quest.

- The second is a continuation of Verona story, in which she has a special request for you. Entering Nathan inn after having done Mara's cult quest should trigger it.
As always we added a save named "Build15" which place you directly in front of the new content.

Compared to the beta we posted a week ago, this version adds some post Verona bath quest dialogue, fix a bunch of typos and minor bugs. We also improved the first Verona quest to take the companions into account, including a small chatter with them after Redic comes back from the storage room.

Work on the next build is already well underway. As explained in the previous devlog, it will advance the main story, and feature two mutually exclusive animated scenes depending on your choices. Since it is quite a big quest, we decided to split it in two (this wont impact the final layout of the quest).

So expect the first half to be coming very soon!

Been some time after previous dev log. So where are things now?

We are currently wrapping up the "small" update which include another quest for Samara (and her 2nd love scene will be moved after this quest for cohesion instead of ship flashback quest). We will get a peek at new Kaldea region "slums" which are pretty self explanatory. Home to horde of homeless and its own criminal gang, slums also hosts the biggest wet market in town... among other things there.

This location was made with some space for future quests and exploration, so we will be returning to this part of town more in the future.

Additionally to keep this update interesting it includes another "small" quest, this time for Verona, and she surely will be full of gratitude once you're done. Trigger for her quest will be set after Mara quest-line to space out her first encounter.

So if all things go well we should have this update out soon this month. All visual and written content is done, we just need to implement quest scripts and do bug hunting.

But as we mentioned before, the purpose of those small updates were to put foundational content and make assets for future big updates in the background while we are adding side content which would be in the game regardless. So lets take a peek what we have planned in the future.

The big update will advance us more on the main story quest-line. We will finally get a little bit more information on political issues Kaldea and Atlathka have to deal with, visit the last hub location in Kaldea "government district" and do some dungeon crawling... though this time not in a dungeon... mostly.

We should round up our roster of "bandit enemies" with this update

I will not spoil too much details just yet. But we should have 2 separate love scenes planned, which are mutually exclusive in a single play-through depending on players choice! Intrigue! And abs are back on the menu!

Given this is a pretty big update, we are considering slicing it in 2 half-updates so people wont have to wait as much, with first half containing 1 love scene and quest-line unfinished but cut at convenient point and 2nd half update finishing up leftover content. This shouldn't require any extra work since doesn't mess up chronological order, but if it sounds like bad idea feel free to voice your concerns.

I'm the opposite, and would be willing to wait for a larger and more sizable update. It's an RPG afterall, so I would rather play through new content all at once than play shorter chunks.

Sorry about spamming all these fixes in quick succession. This is the last one until the next update hopefully.

This fixes the companions revive after they die in combat and Samara not being interactable in some cases.

I have not played since version 10, so I decided to do a new run and I will post the bugs I found here. 1) Regularly (at least 50% of the fights in the prologue), one of the enemy stops and does nothing, forcing me to skip the fight. Maybe I was checking something (their HP, cards), I'm not sure.

This build fixes an issue with the older quests, for example Scylla Loose End burnt storehouse leaving dialogue, but also potentially a bunch of other quest. So you are encouraged to perform the update.

We also improved Samara scene, adding a few lines about the neck holding. As well as a few minor fixes.

This build took a few more days than expected to finish, but we managed to push quite a bit of content into it.

Non-patreon members will have the privilege to be robbed a second time by Iski, the Kobold.

As for the patreon only content, this time the focus is on Samara, as she lets you explore her past in a very special way. To begin her quest you need to complete Mara cult quest, and go to Nathan's Inn. For Samara scene, finish this quest and build a camp with the camping supplies outside the city, in the outskirts for example. As usual the walkthrough is available here is you have difficulty.

For convenience, a save named "Build 14" was also added in the game and will place you just before the quest begins.

While this build is a bit late, our art and writing team were working on the next updates for a few weeks already. So expect some news around our upcoming content really soon!

You can chance the pigmentation of the main character, it's mostly experimental and not really set up to be polished. As for genres... I'm not sure what you mean? Adventure, CRPG, mystery, tiny bit of horror, turn based... I'm not sure what you mean what genres?

Question! There seems to be a bug in Hera's quest--she says I should come and get her when ready to confront the thugs, and no matter what I do, when I return to talk to her, it starts the dialogue chain with me bringing her shipment over again. Is this a bug, or is there something I have to do I'm not aware of?

Hey folks, been a while since our last devlog. We did some progress on the update but will need to share some news.

So Samara update was planned to have 2 new quests + smut scene. We'll have to cut down to 1 quest to make it to May, so 2nd quest will be pushed into next also small\medium sized update following this one. You will still get smut scene which this time has 3 animated cg.

So lets go through what progress has been made. Smut scenes are 100% drawn and about 80% rigged. Zlasova is handling the rigging and animation for Samara. The scene will have a bit longer setup\foreplay than usual but we think it will be worth it.


Samara sprite, which wasn't touched since the first demo of the game, has been reworked and added new animations / poses. We had to redo her animations since the old rig had to be reworked in order to fit new techniques we developed over time, including her looking back variant.
Additionally all location artwork is finished, so from art asset standpoint this update is ready. We currently need to finish rigging and animating love scenes and new enemy type + quest scripting / writing dialogues.


Obviously coding department wasn't idle all this time and were looking into optimizing our quest scripting routine since it was a bit of a bottleneck in the past. It is not finished, but we already integrated low level stuff with unity and runtime game. The general idea is to have the ability to edit quests at runtime (without unity), with more dedicated interface and tools that unity doesn't offer in its editor. This should should make our quest editing / testing / fixing routine much quicker.

As a side effect this also means that eventually players will have the possibility to edit existing quests and even create their own. If that's something you are into.

This should be all for current dev log, we can't wait to finish update to let people dwelve a bit into Samara's backstory and her story deeper. And in case you've missed it, we already reworked Samara's first recruit quest-line a bit to make it more memorable and interesting. It was indeed published by mistake in our latest patch (build 13.2). - Arbuz

Ok, so here's me thinking that Wolf won't "fire" Nameless, IE throw her out, as that is what she wants, and she favors the Drow. But she has to make some kind of example that disobedience has limits. So I don't expect any kind of physical torture or something like that, but maybe something... sexual knowing Wolf's tastes? Or perhaps helping with her plan and agreement with the Lamia?

Hey hey, it's dev log time. Lets go thru what's the progress so far.

Our current Osh'to update is going fairly well, we are wrapping up combat additions and polishing rough edges on the quest. Visual content is essentially done and we should be able to start closed test in a few days, once all major bugs squashed we will be able to release it. So hopefully we wont have delays from planned March release.


One of the biggest additions this update is Kyots. Those small lobstery\shrimpery bastards are the main interaction point of this update and have a bit of their own lore, we future proofed this sprite to have a big modular variety so we can reuse it in the future with minimal additional work.


Additionally we are working on next updates already. The one following Osh'to will be about Samara and will rework her initial quest a little bit and will add 2 new ones + a scene! Above you see work already done for her sprite update, to lift it up to current sprite standards and expand her animation set.

Expect a little bit more development on her character and her combat mechanics too.

Additionally we are working on future bigger update in the background involving the main story development. Zlasova is preparing sprites and location artwork in advance so we can finish the big update much faster unlike cult one.

In the big update we will finally be able to visit government district, interact with Atlathkan people (soldier above for example) and get 2(!) separate love scenes depending on the player choices.

We had some feedback from cult update, which was our first experience making a quest line of that scale, and we realized parts of it were a bit overinflated in length and felt like a drag and/or lacked elements to explore to keep it interesting. We will try to implement some changes to our quest recipe to make main quest experience smoother.

This should be all for now. Stay tuned in early March for new update with big red waifu. - Arbuz

Wow... I mean, this is really hot, but I'm still surprised Wolf is allowing herself be dominated by the sexy snek woman. I don't know if this will last, or even if she enjoys having someone else on top, but god damn this is smoking good :3

Hey folks, the current update is going smoothly and we are planning to release it in first days of March. It will feature the last recruitable companion for the game, Osh'to. But we need to start working on the next update in the near future, so we need your help to decide.

Follow up update will be focused on expanding one of the companions arc a bit further. This will include more companion related quests, companion abilities polishing, adding small assets like dialogue portrait expressions if needed and of course a proper lovemaking scene. Since we have 3 companions, we can't do all of them at the same time, so we need to choose who will be first. Osh'to isn't included in the vote since her update will be in March. We'll be watching who our audience wants to see the most.

Regular voting rules apply regarding voting tokens.

I can see how dealing with a tail in this situation would be annoying. Detachable undergarments would have been an elegant solution I'd think.

This is amazing. But the one and only flaw I think, is that there isn't a bit of transparency at the bottom of the page, so that her bosom literally spills out of the comic panel.

Hey, it's time for a new devlog. We've been busy boys lately and still chugging at follow up update. And after grinding his fingers to the bone coding our game and hotfixing bugs, deck went for a short week-long vacation (but knowing him he probably does some work on the laptop anyway).
Writing for the smut scene is essentially done and we are already started animating it. This update animations (including smut scene) are mostly handled by ZlaSova under my guidance.

In addition we finished all location art for this update, and they are already implemented in the engine. Thankfully the process gets smoothed out each time, and all under the hood code we did during the cult update came in handy to optimise location assembly in unity.

And we have some progress on last major addition this update - Kyots. Those little amphibian bastard will play a role of both enemies and NPCs. They will play a big role in the questline for Osh'to recruitment. We will see if we can use Kyots throughout the game outside this quest since they are part of our world lore, which we plan on telling in time.

With the experience we gained working on game sprites, they get a little bit more sophisticated than before, now we try to make most of our enemies modular to a degree for visual variety. In engine we will try to have them have different color patterns.

So this companion update asset work is nearing completion, we are finishing up all essentials i've mentioned before plus few additional left like Osh'to dialogue halfbody. If we have time we will add additional assets while quest is being assembled but it shouldn't take too long given its relative simplicity and scale compared to cult adventure.

As for our plans for the build after that, we plan to make another companion focused update, but this time add extra development into their arc, It's going to be a relatively similar in scale so we have some time to work on the main quest update in the background. But we are interested in holding a vote on which companion will be the focus of this following update, with exception of Osh'to since she's just getting one already. So stay tuned if you wanna your favourite waifu get more development first.

It's finally here, after a few months of delay we managed to finish it. This is our biggest update so far, and should provide around 2 or 3 hours of gameplay... if you skip the fights. If do you actually fight, then pay attention bleed threshold on player party, since part of bleed damage accumulates between fights and cannot be recovered by bandages. You amend this new damage by resting at inns\campfire or eating food with injured character. Speaking of fights, they now happen in the main world, rather than their own separate instances.

On a side note, since this update was very late, we decided to give it to any former patron who donated $5+ since September, which was our original release target.

Our next update is already well underway and will feature the last recruitable companion, Osh'To. We are taking steps to prevent such a delay to happen again.

Enjoy this adventure in the meantime!

Hi, I can't figure out how to get Avarice to run on my mac. When I opened it and selected the option to enable Patreon content, it opened my browser and confirmed I was a patron, but when I go back to the game it just stays on the logo screen and changes color a bit. I've tried clicking the logo, pressing the enter key, and the space bar and nothing happens. So, I tried closing it and starting again. This time, it doesn't have the Patreon content prompt, but still nothing else happens. I also tried opening it the way it says to on your website, but no luck. Any suggestions?

Scale down scale of updates, and big questlines which can't be broken down into pieces will be worked in background until close to finishing. We will additionally improve some of our tools to improve questmaking, which is one of major bottlenecks in production atm.

I did worry this large update would be heavly delayed when you offer Patreons a choice, big or small updates. Thankfully, after such wait we have large update making up for waiting time. Ideas sound solid, questmaking should be polished to the point it works like adding lego bricks.

I don't wish to be rude but when i put in the code for patreon it didn't unlock everything, do i need to be a higher level of membership? if so which one? I am currently only at the $5 tier after dropping down from the $20 tier. Do i need to go back up to $20?

No, we changed too many things this time. Next update might be compatible, but no promise. We added a "Build12" save with all the companions unlocked. So you don't have to redo their quest.

So we have some good news. Current build is finally nearing completion and we already did few days of closed beta test at our discord server volunteers. Due preemptive testing build seems to be already pretty stable so minimal amount of bugs left to fix from beta test. We are planning to publish this build in early days of January. I'd give a number we expect but i know i'll jinx it.

So far testing with different people shown new content should be enough for 2-3hours even with combat skipping here and there and depending how much you willing to explore for lore and hidden collectibles... And god knows how much without skipping. There's multiple endings to the questline but generally progression is still linear-ish.


That's all we can share about current update so far, so lets visit future update while we are at it. Pretty good chunk of art assets is done and other nearing completion. Location art is about 80+% complete.

Zla sova has been improving his skills and is being tasked to sprite work, rigging and animation for our last companion. Osh'to would be a bit special case, having 2 preferred weapons: club and bow. Heavy club will effectively break through defenses of enemies and maim limbs, but will lack on bleeding damage. Bow is something most ogres are proficient with due hunting culture, but what is a hunting bow for ogre now is a warbow for a human. Osh'to will have dedicated abilities to archery and would be the only companion we plan to be able to fully specialize in ranged combat.

But whats the point of tall and strong companion if you cant get have a closer inspection. Upon successful recruiting quest she and redic will up for some fun, though to please such a big lady redic should really put his back into it.

As mentioned before, Osh'to update is planned to be much smaller than the current one so we wont have to wait as much for more content. Additionally we will try to address some production issues to get back on regular posting track.
